In these times it seems that customer service is rare. Companies set up loyalty rewards or…read morecontracts in order to get people to buy their products. Well Batteries plus is the exception to the rule. I walk in as I was having trouble with my phone. A young guy who looked as if he was 12 came to the desk to ask me what he could do...I told him my phone is not even a year old and it was charging right. He looks at the phone then looked at me and said we don't work on Google phones...ughhh but he offered to take to the back and clean the port. No guarantees...needless to say he fixed it and only charged me $10 Highly recommend this place.

Went to get a new battery and screen for an iPhone, all seemed fine. Got home and the home button…read moreon the phone doesn't work. I took it back, explained, etc. The tech was very understanding and agreed to make it right - a few hours later they called and said the home button broke during repair. Fine, accidents happen. We went over a few options, which seemed pretty reasonable, and we ended up asking them to just refund the screen cost and move the new battery to my wife's phone, which also needed a new one. Not the best, but given the circumstances, something we were willing to work with. We came back after the second round of repair was complete... And after getting home noticed new damage to the screen in my wife's phone (the corner is now lighter than the rest, with a nice streak down to the middle). I'm honestly not sure I want to go back to the same place for yet another repair even if it's free. 4 stars for customer service, 1 star for technical ability. 5 stars for speed of service, but if it isn't good work, does speed matter?

I've been talking about wanting a new bike so I can start to ride some distance for several years…read morenow. A friend of mine has started riding century rides and other craziness, so I thought I would ask for his advice on what to get. Since he lives up north, he got his bike from Buck's about 3 years ago, so while visiting, we decided to head up and take a look. I kind of knew what I was looking for because I have a friend who does exactly what I'm wanting to do. I knew I was looking for an entry-level carbon road bike, but I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg. I had no clue what size, so actually being about to touch and get on the bikes was definitely something I needed to do, and Buck's was the place to do it. I arrived on a Saturday about 40 minutes before closing. There were a number of other people in the store, so we started walking around and looking at the frames. We looked for about 20 minutes, got bikes off the racks, got on them, and had walked into another area of the store before anyone even acknowledged we were there. Granted, they were busy and it was almost closing time, but I would have liked some form of acknowledgement, especially as we started pulling bikes off the racks. By the time someone came up to us, I had pretty much made my mind up on what I wanted and that I would do some research on the bike before I purchased it. Had someone come up early on and spent some time with me, I might have walked out with a new bike yesterday. My friend needed a new tube for his bike, and since they were right next to the cashier, she was extremely helpful. The store is well laid out with a great selection - almost overwhelming to someone like me who really thought there was only one kind of bike until recently. In all fairness, I'll be back here because it's a local business, they have a great selection, and I've heard you can wheel and deal on older model stuff. I'm also certain that they were busier than normal because it was one of the first nice days out and everyone else was shopping for a bike, it was Saturday, and it was almost closing time. Just expect a bit of a wait if you come in when they're busy.

I waited almost 5 minutes for a staff member to approach me while I waited in the showroom. Staff…read morehad no knowledge of basic information about their bikes-- size of the bike frame and bike weight capacity. And they tried to talk me into buying a much more expensive electric bike when I specifically said I didn't want an ebike. Crummy customer service and bad business practices.
