We absolutely love Bowls by KO. Everything is fresh, healthy & incredibly delicious. We catered our housewarming party from them this weekend and our friends couldn't stop raving about how incredible the food was. People kept going back from 3rd and 4ths, which is when you know it's good. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken & Steak Hibachi bars, which came with all of the ingredients in trays. They included labels, serving spoons, bowls and utensils, so set up was quick and easy. We didn't have to worry about dietary restrictions or picky eaters since everyone could customize to their liking. Devon & Katelin are both extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is clean, has plenty of seating and is beautiful. We would eat at Bowls by Ko everyday if we could.
Bowls By Ko is one of the food vendors inside Avanti, the popular food hall in the Highlands. After a long morning of calls and coffee, I landed on them to fuel my hunger and if I'm being honest my food left me wanting more. Now Avanti has eight food stalls in total. I could've ordered from any of them, but a poke bowl was calling my name. Something quick to prepare and relatively healthy was what the doctor ordered. Not gonna lie, the interaction I had with the employee was kind of odd. It was very matter of fact and not friendly whatsoever. If I was one of eight food vendors wouldn't you be a little more chipper to see someone decide to pick you as their food of choice? I don't know, it was awkward to me and even before eating my meal I regretted not going elsewhere. SPICY TUNA POKE BOWL ($17) // White rice, tuna poke tossed in ponzu, sesame seeds & scallions, sesame cucumber salad, avocado, jalapeños, sriracha mayo, furikake. On paper, this sounded right up my alley. Execution was lacking and upon the first couple bites I was longing for a poke bowl from one of my favorite places. The two main misses were 1) the actual size of the ingredients and 2) the lack of seasoning. The jalapeños, the cucumber, and even the tuna were all cut so large you could barely fit multiple ingredients into one bite. The cucumbers were stuck together I felt like a toddler trying to eat this entire bowl with my fork because nothing fit on the fork other than one piece at a time. The tuna and the rice were just lacking flavor and the bowl itself was very bland. Giving three stars instead of two, because I'm hoping this was an off day. Based on their other reviews it seems like they do a pretty solid job. Next time I'm at Avanti I'm gonna skip them and try something else. But maybe down the road I'll give them another shot!
Walked in for a quick lunch and I loved the healthy options. It was a warm day so I got the tuna poke bowl and they had it ready not even a few minutes after I ordered it. It was definitely refreshing on a hot summer day. Being located in the avanti food court, there were plenty of seating options for you and the family! If you can't find parking nearby, they also have a valet option
Ladies and gentlecars. To be completely honest i was a never bowl girl, or so I thought. Never bowl girls go to restaurants, and if the have a bowl option, they pretty much never get that. They like sandwiches quesadillas pizzas tacos wraps pastas and I guess the common theme here is refined carbohydrates and a disproportionate amount of finger food. Born and raised in America I can't help it. all too often we're chasing the rush, the hit, instant gratification, blood sugar spikes and dopamine swipes. Yeah so you won't be surprised to learn that my partner found this place on that little devil app that completely collapses a perfectly good sense of time and place. You know the one. That sick scrolling black hole of perfected algorithmic attention. Guess what, good things can come of that cosmic warp. A never bowl girl can find out about Bowls by KO, and this restaurant flipped a switch in me I thought only possible with divine intervention. I'll cut to the chase. It was The meal prep pack that did it. I try with varying degrees of success not to feed the monster inside of me that is desperate for red 40 and seed oils. But it's hard because there's another monster inside of me that's desperate for sitting on the couch and watching tv with a sparkling clean kitchen and an empty sink. Surely you can understand how the intersectionality of these two monsters creates a perfect recipe for chronic consumption of empty calories. But the real me is going to turn 28 soon and I need to get serious. And snatched. Enter bowls by KO. You actually do not have to order a bowl. you can order a meal prep pack of the bowl which means the parts of the bowl come deconstructed, individually packaged and prepared in glorious quantities. Today we picked up rice, shredded buffalo chicken, garlic kale salad, stir fried veggies, sesame seeds, green onions, pickled red onions, and tatziki sauce. These are nutritional building blocks, not self limiting meals. I can use these foods however I want: bowls of course, but also sandwiches, tacos, wraps, pizzas, pastas, quesadillas. This is freedom. I'm not bound to the confines of pre-assembled, logistically inseparable food, and in complete paradoxical harmony, I enjoy real nutrition in the context of my couch and spotless kitchen, empty sink and all. Thank you Bowls by KO. Btw, for all the time I just spent writing about being a never bowl girl, I have to tell you I got home and immediately threw all this stuff into a bowl. It was amazing. I'm a sometimes bowl girl now. We'll be back, and if you are working intentionally with the creators on that crazy little app to convert never bowl girls like me, it's working. XOXOOXO frankie
Hmmm the flavors just tasted a little off/not strong. I also felt it was a little too salty. I honestly don't think the pineapple works with the chicken teriyaki - mixed with those flavors, the pineapple tasted off to me. The presentation is nice though considering this is a fast casual place. This place gets points for cooking the chicken well - it was tender and not dry! Ultimately would probably check out other places within Avanti before coming back here. I do like that they offer healthier options though, as a lot of places in Avanti are carb heavy (pasta, sandwiches, burgers) To access Avanti, either find street parking or pay a $20 valet. Street parking is free
Quick and easy. Super healthy and filling during the week. Our favorite place to go, service is great the workers are super nice always
What an amazing little gem! Katie and I were traveling to Red Rocks for a concert. As we had been on vacation for a few days, every meal was either fast food or quite luxurious eating out. When we found this place to get normal, high-veg, healthy food... I thought it was what we were looking for... but no way it could be good too... I was wrong! Not only was the food amazing. Bowls of all varieties... it was hard to pick just one! But the staff was helpful and kind. They even allowed a few samples to help me pick the right bowl for that day. Unlike most of my reviews... this place had a vibe! It was great to have a light and airy location with lots of plants, windows, and quirky decor. It felt like someone took the time to decorate the place. Even if that decor was for multiple walks of life to come and have a comfortable, quick lunch! I can't think of enough nice things to say about this place. If only it wasn't an 8-hour drive away! read more

LOVED the Mediterranean steak bowl! Ingredients were super fresh & meat wasn't overcooked at all. The only thing I would suggest is adding a Greek dressing or extra tzatziki as it was a tad dry (probably because of the quinoa) but it still tasted amazing either way! read more

Bowls by Ko is inside Avanti, a collective eatery with a fun and casual vibe. Where we live, there are not many dedicated gluten-free restaurant options for eating out, so my family was so excited to learn of this place when visiting Denver. And for you non-celiacs, don't worry, the food isn't any different than you would expect. Just great food prepared with high-quality ingredients. And, the two ladies cooking and serving were really kind and full of smiles. I was not sure about the dairy-free ranch (I am a ranch snob and make my own full-dairy version homemade), so I asked for a sample; it was happily provided and tasted great! My 10-year old daughter with celiac disease loved the Korean Beef Bowl and asked for a Pork Carnitas bowl to take on the plane home later today. I ordered a Korean Buffalo Chicken bowl (also for the plane) and it smells wonderful. So grateful for this safe-eating option! We will be back the next time we visit Denver! read more
