I get a lion's cut done on my cat and they always double-check if I want any changes to the cut. In addition, they cut his nails, bathe, blow-dry, clean his ears, etc. In the colder months they even have personal mini-heaters on each kennel to keep the animals warmer. The price is the best I've found. I recently moved to Naperville and searched for something closer to me (for convenience only) and there is nowhere that compares to their reasonable prices. These ladies are fantastic!

I don't know how many years he has participated in in this West Suburban Humane Society fundraiser but I can attest to 4 years. Each year Steve shows up early, stays late and then donates all of his proceeds to WSHS. I have never once seen this man loose his cool with dogs or owners. And I have seen some "not so dog savvy" owners waiting for his services. He is always beyond professional and handles all dogs, even the terrified ones, with firm yet gentle hands. Considering it was 90+ degrees this year and he worked 4+hours in that heat. I think this says a lot about the patience and integrity of Steve as a groomer. I wish all groomers were this compassionate!

( It must have been because of his coat bc I am not shocked by their prices at all) I have had a Lab since college and he was rarely groomed because I took him swimming so often. I moved to the burbs and realized nail trimming was not gonna cut it anymore, I started sending him down the street to Barker Shoppe. Then, my mom offered to take him for me one hectic day and I was getting calls from Velvet Touch saying my dog was ready. Huh?? Turns out my young, yet senile mom had taken him to VT instead of the Barker Shoppe. He came back smelling much fresher and it was $25 cheaper!!!! I am definitely a fan of VT now, and he goes about once a month. They have very recently moved to the strip that Blockbuster is in, behind Kramer's. The charm is lost, but it was creepy watching the babies walk into the basement. I definitely recommend it!
