I have needed two root canals and had symptoms for another that Dr Currie diagnosed as something else. He was right and I did not need a root canal on that tooth. He and the whole staff at St. Johns Endodontics have been 100% kind, careful, caring and super competent! By far the best people I have ever had work in my mouth! I am 66 and retired after running a very large business that was focused on customer service across 2000 employees so I know what I'm talking about when I see great customer service like I've experienced with Dr Currie and St. Johns Endodontics!! And the building is beautiful inside with indirect lighting - great music - and wonderful art including some calming art on the monitors above your head while having a procedure done - first class all the way! I can't imagine going anywhere else for a consultation about a root canal

I have always taken very good care of my teeth & upon being able to finally get in with for a consultation, he did not see the tooth to be in need of same & referred me for dry needling shots as my insurance paid for it & assured me would resolve the issue. After several months of the treatments, I realized it was not fixing the problem at all. My immediate attempts to make an appt with Dr McClure (Lauren) were hopeless...Was advised would be 4 wks as 2 of his associates had left practice & he was short-staffed. Thank God I found Gerich Endodontists in Jacksonville who immediately started taking steps to resolve & save my tooth....CARING, PROFESSIONAL & SO DIFFERENT THAN ST.JOHNS ENDODONTISTS. Hide quoted text I am so glad I kept Dr. McClure's recap letter regarding his referral rather than treatment process in January. I have posted on every Social Media site in this avenue/areas of the dental/medical field. After working 35+ years in the Finance Corp Mgmt field & always having cleanings every 6 months, taking VERY good care of my teeth, I am surprised St. Johns Endodontists retains him as I am sure other individuals have been impacted by his lack of care for any patient. Referring a patient out for a questionable treatment does not resolve the root problem and shows the lack of integrity of St. Johns Endodontists overall by this Endodontist..... I have had so many people reach out to me since posting across my Social Media about Dr. McClure's uncaring, unprofessional nature, outrageous costs, postponed or erroneous information given to them, one even today that stated that once he found out she had no dental insurance her fees doubled, as well as the "consultation quote." What a shame St. Johns Endodontists would employ such an individual in the dental/medical avenues. His Corporate Staff/Mgmt appears to be taking action to make sure he is monitored more closely to prevent more damage to others affected by his actions. Deb Strickland

Dr. Lundgren is Truly an AMAZING endodontist!…read more I had no pain or symptoms from my lower left molar before my dentist treated a small cavity during a crown replacement. Two days later, I developed excruciating pain. Unfortunately, I was not referred to an endodontist until after almost two weeks of pain. I specifically asked my dentist to send me to Dr. Lundgren because he had treated me years ago and I already trusted him. By the time the referral was made and I was able to see Dr. Lundgren, the pain had become unbearable. I was taking pain medication every 5 hours just to manage the pain and could barely sleep. I was also extremely nervous about the epinephrine numbing injections, but Dr. Lundgren completely changed that experience and helped me overcome a fear I had carried for years. He took the time to listen to my concerns and explained why some people experience intense heart palpitations or hyperventilation reactions and how he helps prevent those horrible reactions for his patients by carefully following proper injection protocols and making sure the epinephrine is administered in the correct location. He was kind, caring, knowledgeable, thorough and never rushed. He stayed with me throughout the procedure and made me feel safe. We used epinephrine injections and I had absolutely no pain and no heart palpitations. The entire root canal was completely comfortable After weeks of terrible pain and anxiety, I finally had my root canal completed comfortably. Dr. Lundgren didn't just treat my tooth -- he helped me overcome a fear I had carried for years. Dr. Lundgren is truly the best and I am so grateful I was able to see him again when I needed him most for another challenging root canal. I am also thankful to his entire team. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of me! Mina

Good Afternoon! From…read morethe moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome with wall to wall smiles of love! It was warm with open arms of care 101! My first visit was impressive with an exceptional trained team of professionals in Dr. Hilly and Dr. Lundgren. What did I experience: (1) Dr. Hilly took the time to listen to my concerns, explain my options clearly, and made sure I felt comfortable before starting any treatment. Dr. Hilly provided medication to num me and I did not feel a single amount of pain. The greatest pain experienced was the sight of a needle. That lasted for about 1.5 seconds. a. The Space, The Chair and The office was spotless. It was modern and equipped with advanced technology, which gave me extra confidence in the quality of care. (2) Both of Dr. Hilly's assistants were just as caring and knowledgeable with a willingness to render assistance when needed. a. The assistant put on display compassion for me and also provided oral medications and instructions prior to surgery. b. During the root canal process, both assistants and the doctor worked in precision unity complimenting each other with kindness as if this was a years long interaction. This kind of inter- action of kindness is a rarity. What Dr. Hilly did for me was needed and the only pain I endured was a what if. Dr. Hilly did an exceptional job. I made it clear I was in his care. In other words, I trust him!!!!! Prior to Dr, Hilly, I endured some (4)real pain that I should not have in memory! Dr. Hilly and his staff restore my faith in dentistry. Again, I have to praise he and his team as they are lovable and remind me of time at home with Dr. Charles Burton! In closing: this team, this group of personnel are an exceptional group of men and women geared to provide a service they have been so trained to do. I am convinced that on Gate Parkway, Dr. Hilly and Dr. Lundgren have been put in place to set a pattern for other doctors to follow in being open to kindness from beginning to end, pain free dentistry and to continue to be an eye opening experience of continued smiles throughout North Florida! Good Day To You All! Darryl D. Atkins
