I had been craving real Louisiana meat pies. This place had the real thing. I bought a dozen uncooked/frozen for later use at a discount.

Evacuated from Galveston because of tropical storm Beta. Staying with family in Buna and I've had Boutte's boudin years ago but, I've have always wanted to come to their storefront; today was the day! Great selection of prepared food such as gumbo, red beans and andouille sausage, veggies, beef steaks from 1855 (Nebraska) and stuffed chicken with jalapeños and cream cheese, etc...plus, fresh sausages (from Prasek's in Sealy, TX) and Boutte's homemade boudin (see photo's) Also, a selection of Cafe du Monde coffee and beignet mix with slap your mama seasoning. They also have prepared boudin balls, meat pies, cracklings (fried pork belly) and daily hot plate specials. I bought cracklins, pork boudin stuffing (not in casing) and boudin smoke dip...all hella good. Very nice staff. I was hoping for some boudain similar to Nick's, this was not that. It was OK, but I'll keep looking.

Great food and really great people. Grabbed some lunch for now and bought a bunch of stuffed chicken breasts for later.

I've been eating Boutte's Boudain for years! I thought they went out of business for awhile when they moved from the old to the new place. I'm glad They didn't!!! I always liked to put their Boudain links on the smoker. Their new place has a steam table for serving breakfasts and hot lunches. The menu changes a little every dayof the week. Tuesday's is Ettouffee or Fried Chicken with sides. We couldn't leave without trying the Ettouffee and it was really good! We went in to buy some Boudain links, and Boudain Balls with Pepperjack Cheese. I wound up buying a half pound of their Cajun Style Cracklin's and should have bought a pound!!! Yeah, they are that darn good!!! The wife also picked up a package of their stuffed jalapenos for trying out in the air fryer later. It's a very nice little place they have now and they have a lot of other items in the freezer that look great too. The folks are really friendly and helpful! They also have fountain drinks and indoor seating so you can enjoy your meal in the A/C. Give them a try if your in the area!! read more

This place is a hidden gem! The cracklings are the best I've ever had. They had a nice seasoning and we're cooked perfectly. The boudin pie was full of delicious crawfish and the crust was golden and flaky. So good! The crawfish etouffe was a bit bland for me but I like mine with a kick. They offered several kinds of seasonings and hot sauce to make it the way you like it. Bought some boudin balls to go. Can't wait to give them a try. read more

Continuing on our Day-venture we found Boutte's. Walked right into this meat market/deli and greeted by the really nice cashier. It's so nice to hear young people address adults with ma'am and sir. Bought us a boudin roll, boudin link, meat pie, and Cracklins. The boudin roll was stuffed with boudin in a egg roll wrap and deep fried. OMG! this was so good and it was easy to eat in the car. We couldn't get enough of the Cracklins. It's like Lays potato chips, you can't eat just one! These had a great meat to fat ratio. They are a meal in themselves. Meat pie was stuffed and not over taken by the pie crust. We went to the refrigerated section and got a few links to go, so we could eat it later at home. They offer lunch specials during the week. From the food to the friendly people working here, this place is outstanding! We were in the area for an appointment and stopped in for an early lunch. Came here for lunch, not the food market. Had the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, okra and tomatoes and a roll. ALL of it was good! Everything had amazing flavor and the roll was soft and thick. The 2 ladies that helped us were very nice and made us feel welcome. I just tried Boutte's Original Boudin which I purchased from my local meat market. I read many of the positive reviews on their products. Unfortunately, I did not feel the same. I found the spicy boudin to be quite bland. Where is the seasoning? Perhaps an oversight in preparation, maybe. Anyway, I was very disappointed. read more

Some of the best food in Lumberton. During the week, lunch is served cafeteria style with a couple of protein options and a few side options that change daily at a good lunch price. I was blown away at the flavors. They are so good. Don't remember how many times I've been here now, but everything is so good. My first time was an early morning visit and I didn't find anything on the menu that I wanted...so they cooked me what I did want! Great Cajun foods mostly for takeout. Boudin is some of the best. Get there earlier in day for better selection.
