Mr Padar is excellent at what he does, and does it with such grace and positivity as well. He does not come across as impatient as most tailors I have been to in the past have, and has an excellent eye for fit. I brought 2 off the rack suits in for tailoring after I lost weight, and my suits now look like they were custom made to my measurements. Since everyone's idea of the perfect fit is different, he always made sure to ask how I felt about his proposed alterations, and always modified the alterations to match my preferences; this is in contrast with some bad experiences in the past where tailors would try to pushily tell me what I should want. With regards to the handiwork, I have never received buttons on a sleeve so perfectly aligned without strain in the fabric whatsoever. There is also no sign that the jacket or the pants were altered, except now they fit perfectly. I also received prompt responses after contacting him by email on several occasions, always within a business day. He cares deeply about the customer, as after an email from me expressing confusion at pricing, he kindly explained the circumstances through a phone call to my satisfaction. Pricing is not cheap, but not expensive, so reasonable is the best way to describe it. However, if you are intending to wear your suits for a long time to come and are quite confident your physique will stay similar throughout the years, it is well worth it to take them here for alterations.

The store is quaint and located in a more touristy area of town in Old Montreal located near some other quality (and non-so quality stores). They carry ties, bowties, belts, watches, wallets, rings, bracelets, cufflinks, lapel pins, necklaces, underwear, and other accessories. Much of the store includes finely curated, quality brands that are often hard to find. But their crowning gem are their custom ties and bowties. They have flare, can be bold in modern, and yet are crafted from fine silks and cottons from all over the world. They'll even make something with fabric of your choosing--tailors for men's accessories! Genius. The staff was one of the tailors and super helpful and engaging. She goes on trade shows and tends to sell out everything when she goes. There are very few repeats and eat time is unique. I'll be visiting each time I'm in Montreal and likely will be sending some email requests shortly.

The shoes that DID manage to capture my attention, white Zespas, had a differing price point from another retailer that I knew to carry them. The price at Tozzi was somewhat higher (by 100$). I voiced this matter to the employee, and he said that if that was truly the case with the other retailer, that he would match that price easily. And true to his word, he did lower the price to match the other. I appreciated the act and was impressed by the customer service that he delivered. They truly do aim to please their clients. The ONLY concern that I had with my experience was the excess attention given to me. As a client, I like to breathe and think of my options, so I would have appreciated just a little more space from the employee. I don't particularly enjoy feeling obliged to buy, even though I truly wanted the shoes. Nevertheless, aside from this minute detail, great experience at Tozzi!

Yes, shoes and sneakers are a definite draw here, but there seems to be so much more hidden around every corner. What absolutely beautiful clothing!…read more The pieces designed and produced right in the store are both classic and unique, well made and oh so totally Montreal - I am %100 saving up to buy a pretty summer dress/skirt from here. What I liked most about the dresses was not only their fit and fabric but I can just tell that they will be able to withstand the wear and tear that is inevitable for me when I spend all summer biking around Montreal. The space itself is cool and is host to a variety of events supporting local art and music. Big fan!
