I met with Joi (who is quite aptly named) to get a very natural eyeliner across my top lid. She was very kind to this old lady who's been through surgery, chemotherapy, radiation and more needed to have a little help looking like myself. I wanted no fancy wings, no obvious thickness to the line, instead, I just wanted whatever eyelashes I have left to have a natural darkness at the base so that they didn't fade into nothing. Joi understood exactly what I wanted and didn't try to talk me into anything else. She is confidence that made her very precise & particular. The whole experience was very clean, quick and painfree. All good things when it comes to anything "Medical". In fact, Joi used to be an oncology nurse!!! I really appreciate it the aftercare package she sent me home with. It included ointments and different size, cotton pads, and Q-tips and a vial of the right liquid soap, along with instructions in a beautiful handmade packet. Can you imagine? I felt so taken care of and safe. What a Joi she is! I was able to book my service within a timely manner, the location is very convenient on inter Boulevard, and she couldn't be more lovely! I had never done this before, but I will never live without joy...er, I mean, Joi in my life! read more

Joi is the BEST!! She is absolutely so detailed and takes care of your brows with a high level of skill. I previously had a part of my brows that was messed up from a previous artist and she was able to fix that area and maintain a great shape. Previously when healing from powder ombré brows I have a lot of scabbing but with Joi I had minimal scabbing due to the light lymph massage she provides after - it made a HUGE difference. She had the cutest after care kit & she's the sweetest person ever! It's super easy to find parking in the area and her room is clean, welcoming, and cozy! read more

So ladies if you are thinking about getting permanent eyeliner.. call for a consultation. You will never have to wake up and put it on every time you go out ever again! I have nothing but great stuff to say about Joi !! I have been to several people over the years for brow filling and eye liner, and she is the best out of all of them. Her studio is spotless, and she has all her aftercare products neatly packaged and organized, with detailed instructions. I have a medical condition which makes me very self-conscious, and she has always been kind and non-judgmental. I will be going to her from now on, that is for sure !! She does a wonderful job, doesn't rush and is very meticulous in her work. A consummate professional ! read more

Bourgie Brows Microblading - Photo of right after microblading - Permanent Makeup Near Me - Sherman Oaks, California

If you're considering getting your eyebrows microbladed..look no further! I'm thrilled I've found Joi here on Yelp. Came in and I'm by far not an easy customer-Joi was able to withstand it, while staying professional and LISTENING to my wishes & concerns (shape, color etc.)- I mean the eyebrows are a dominant feature of the face!! I actually had my appointment today and usually do not write reviews-but the result was AMAZING! The transition from almost no eyebrows due to over plucking to super natural, amazing ones made me look at myself twice!! (is that really me?! Lol). Thank you Joi, can't wait for the touch up. The price is totally sensible too btw. and includes one touch-up after 4-6 weeks and a sweet kit with aftercare material. Highly recommend!! read more

Bourgie Brows Microblading - Color and shape=Perfection! - Permanent Makeup Near Me - Sherman Oaks, California

I've wanted to get Microblading done for a long time, but two things kept me: price and fears over it looking unnatural. Joi's price is insanely reasonable compared to other places I've seen that charge more and do less. And my eyebrows look AMAZING. The appointment was about two hours - she took so much time and care with my brows that I knew I was going to like the result. When she handed me the mirror - WOW! Not to mention she was super nice and made me feel at ease. I did not feel any pain, it was actual really relaxing and I almost fell asleep. She had Will and Grace on and the room was super cute and clean. It's been over a week since my appointment, and i can confidently say my brows have never looked better. I don't normally write reviews but I'm seriously going to be telling everyone to go to Joi - she has given me so much confidence. You won't regret it!! read more

I just had my eyebrows done by Joi. First off, she is the sweetest person you will meet. Second, she is extremely professional. I was very nervous at first, so Joi put some numbing cream on my brows a little longer so I wouldn't feel pain. The process was long and tedious, but I really appreciate Joi taking her time and making sure I was comfortable and at the same time making sure my eyebrows came out the way I normally wear them as well as them coming out perfect. read more

So Obsessed with my brows! I wanted to wait until after my follow up appointment to leave my review. I'm the girl with weird light, thin and patchy brows who cant leave the house until I fill them in ( even if I'm not wearing any other makeup) Not anymore! Joi went above and beyond my expectation! She was very gentle and wanted to make sure I was fully satisfied. I did a lot of research before making my appointment and she did not disappoint! She created a beautiful shape that I could never do on my own. She will have a forever client in me! If your looking for a great microbladder... look no further! read more

I had my brows done about a year ago and was looking to get a touch up. Apparently, the original business I had gone to closed, so the search began for a new spot. I live in the area, and one search on Yelp directed me to Bourgie Brows. Joi performed the touch up service. She was extremely friendly and reassuring, which is especially comforting considering that this is a service done on your face! I really appreciate the fact that she double checked with me on certain parameters like the color and length. Joi is also incredibly efficient- and quick! Numbing cream was applied during the consultation so we were ready to go by the time all the formalities were out of the way. She gave me a time frame of around 90mins and was spot on! I was absolutely in love with my brows when she finished them. Its been a couple of days since I had them done and they're starting to settle and heal nicely. The prices are perfect and the result is unbeatable. If you're new to micro-blading or maybe looking for a touch up, i HIGHLY recommend Joi! read more

Joi is the absolute best!! Not only is she a true professional and an expert at her craft, she's very kind and makes sure that you're comfortable with the experience and happy with the end results. I did a ton of research on other studios and locations before choosing Joi. I was willing to spend the money (many places charge $700), but wanted to make sure I was going to get the results I wanted. Prior to booking my appointment, I messaged back and forth with Joi a few times and she carefully explained the process, answered all my questions, and really put my mind at ease. Her AMAZING price was the extra cherry on top (and shows that she's passionate about what she does, not just trying to make a quick buck). I've been back for the third time, and even took my mom. We LOVE our results. I cannot recommend her enough!! read more

I was referred here by a good friend and reading The Yelp reviews I was fairly confident that this was the place to go for microblading my eyebrows. Being new to this I was a bit nervous, but Joi made me feel comfortable right away. Explaining each step before and during. The process was very professional from that intake and information provided to the easy peasy payment system. I really expected it to be much more painful than it was. Joi must have took great care to make sure the area was numb before doing anything. The establishment and room were very comfortable and clean. Joi is friendly and will put you at ease while doing her awesome magic. I am very happy with the end result. Thank you Joi. read more

I drove up from San Diego, CA. I got the news that I deploy this week, and my go to did not respond to my messages. I checked other places, but the reviews on most werent appealing to me. I tried to schedule some but they were booked until after I left. I decided to look in LA area, I came across Bourgie Brows and loved the reviews and pictures. I sent a message explaining my urgency and Joi responded to me quick. She was kind enough to schedule me in on her day off. She kept numbing my eyebrows so it wouldn't be painful. When she showed me the results, I couldn't have been more pleased! My eyebrows were so detailed! Looked better than before! She has definitely gained a faithful customer. I will also be recommending my friends to her. She has a cool technique to prevent scabs. I may get some scabs but with her technique I don't think it will be as bad as it normally can get with anyone else. read more

Love my brows! And Joy is a very nice person! Great approach, work and pricing! Can only recommend!

Joie was such a comfort to work with. I've been wanting to do microblading for a while but have been scared due to many horror stories I've heard. But she eased those worries immediately. My brows came out better than I could've asked for. Followed her tips on healing thoroughly and felt like I was healing much quicker than normal, and I think it has a lot to do with her technique. She didn't leave my brows feeling all beaten up and tender for days. She is sweet, knowledgeable, professional, accommodating, and an overall pleasure to work with. She was able to book me a late afternoon appointment so that I wouldn't have to take time off work, not many places are that considerate. I rarely write yelp reviews. Only when I'm super unhappy with something, or super impressed. And with Joie, I was most definitely impressed. Thank you so much! read more

I had my brows previously microbladed in Chicago and after my move to LA, they were due for a new service as almost 2 years had passed. I was a little nervous about choosing the right person as I had known my previous brow person for years and she travels across the US training people to microblade, and with all the brow services in LA, I hoped I could find the right person for my sparse, hard to shape brows. Joi was very pleasant and super flexible! I kept having issues with rescheduling my touch up service due to my demanding work schedule and work travel and she was totally cool. I love waking up every day to my brows! I'm really satisfied with their color, shape, and natural look. Tip: put extra time than you think you need in the meters and bring some music/audiobook to pass the time. read more

Being the first time I've had microblading done, I didn't really know what to expect as far as the actual procedure and results. I am very picky (especially w/ more permanent procedures) so I took my time looking for a place that had great reviews, a good location, and not exorbitant prices. I definitely chose the right place as Joi was amazing! We agreed upon the result that I wanted (natural looking but fuller so I wouldn't have to fill them everyday), and she was super informative. I've read that microblading can be painful so I was apprehensive of that at first. After Joi applied the numbing cream I did not feel anything whatsoever. The entire process was relaxing and Joi is great! She listens to what you want and and does not rush. Going back in a few weeks for the touch up. Easy parking, very clean and professional. read more
