I've been getting my eyebrows threaded by Sogol for a few years now. A year ago I started getting them micro bladed. Wow, Sogol is so friendly and welcoming and she did an amazing job on my brows. My brow hairs are very uneven and thinner in a lot of areas and she managed to clean up my brows while keeping them thick! She also provided some great tips to help my brows grow. I walked in and the girl at the reception desk looked up at me then back down at her phone. No greeting. Nothing. Finally I said "hi I'm Sarah, I have an appointment" and she pointed to a chair indicating I should sit and wait. A few minutes later another lady comes and tells me to sit in a different seat. She didn't introduce herself or ask me any questions. She started aggressively combing my brows and I basically was like "hi, I think you're threading first? please keep my brows as full as possible." She nodded then proceeded to thread off basically my entire eyebrows. Without a word, she then applied a solution to my brows and walked away. Normally, at any type of beauty treatment, the person explains what they are doing eg "ok I'm applying this keratin solution which will stay on for X minutes" -- no. There was nothing. I had no idea what was happening. Eventually the lady stopped touching my face and announced we were done. She gave me a spoolie. I looked in the mirror and was shocked. My brows were threaded into oblivion with an unnatural arch. Nothing else about them was different. Now almost four weeks later my brows are still patchy and look terrible. I paid $90 for the worst threading job of my life and an hour of OFF vibes.

Second Update: I did communicate this incident with Yelp and below is a screenshot of their response and recommendation. I typically find that businesses which only have 5 starts reviews are either truly dedicated professionals, which was not my experience with this business, or there is something going on behind the scenes, in their case calling a simple complaint a lie. There are many businesses which actually thrive on their strong customer service, which in my experience this business is not one of those. If Yelp is to survive as a reliable source for consumers, I think it's the responsibility of the consumers to share experiences, be it positive or negative. First UPDATE: since my last review they are now sending random people to attack me on Yelp (photo attached) just for a simple complaint. Be careful with this business! I will do my part and will contact Yelp to see what they can do to deal with such unprofessional conduct. But if they can't offer a solution I hope this would be your sign to stay away from this business. First Review: I decided to give this place another chance after cancelling last minute on me for an appointment, partly because I had completely forgotten about that experience and did not remember who this eyebrow person was. Guess what, she refused because I had complained about them being unresponsive and disrespectful of others time and left a review as such. She reminded me about the review and said she won't be able to provide services BECAUSE OF AN HONEST REVIEW. What a professional. I have never tried their services, but if you are someone who cares about your time and schedule apparently this place is not for you. I'm sure they deserve all 5 star reviews. But looks like something has changed with this business over the last 8 months-1 year. All good reviews seem to be pretty old. Seems like this is one of those businesses that only thrives by "Please give us a good review on Yelp". But guess what? At some point professionalism also matters, which you clearly lack. I don't usually leave multiple reviews, but I felt compelled to write another one for Brows by Sogol - especially after seeing the review posted by @Farzaneh S. today, which is simply not true. As a long-term client, I was actually there when the call she referenced took place, and the situation was nothing like what was described. Apparently, her previous appointment was canceled once and instead of doing her due diligence and following up to reschedule her appointment, she decided to bash the business - she then tried to schedule another appointment today hiding the fact that she had previously acted in such a manner and being dishonest. It's truly unfortunate when people choose to spread false information, because it can unfairly impact a business that genuinely cares about its clients. Sogol is the definition of professionalism and excellence. Her work is consistently amazing - precise, thoughtful, and always tailored to what you really need. She goes above and beyond every single time, whether it's taking extra time to perfect the shape, making sure you're comfortable, or remembering the little details that keep her clients coming back. What really sets her apart is the level of care they put into every interaction. You never feel rushed, you never feel like just another appointment, and you always leave feeling (and looking!) better than when you walked in. Her standards are high, and it shows. As someone who has trusted her for a long time, I can say with complete confidence that this is a business built on integrity, skill, and genuine kindness. Sogol has been doing my brows for about 10 years and I'm obsessed with her. She is amazing and so talented. She takes her time, doesn't rush, is always clean and smells good, and does a great job. She's just a genuine pure woman who is so sweet. I love her and recommend her to everyone read more
