Derek was the most professional and accommodating vendor that we have ever worked with. The video…read morehe made of our wedding was the quality and style of a professional film or made-for-TV movie. He attended our wedding rehearsal and planned out all the shots and angles. On the day of our wedding he was the first one there and last to leave. He caught all the crucial moments and outside of Steven Spielberg, we couldn't have found a better videographer. This was the absolute best money we spent on our wedding.

It was and has been such a pleasure working with Derek!! We found him through Thumbtack, and, at…read morethe time, we also were looking for a wedding photographer. He recommended and had worked with All Things Beautiful Photography, LLC (also in Richmond, VA) in the past. They offered a combo videographer/photographer deal at the time, which we found very reasonable, so we proceeded with them for our wedding photographer and videographer. Since we didn't know him personally at first, we were a bit nervous at the start. But oh man, did those nerves go away after we hung out with Derek during our engagement session. He traveled up with our photographer from Richmond to Alexandria, VA (not a quick or easy trip) for our engagement session in April to film part of our shoot (so kind of him!). We had coffee first, went over some wedding details, then went exploring for our engagement photos. We knew then we made the best choice for our wedding videographer. After hanging out for half the day, we were able to get to know Derek on a personal basis, and he wasn't just someone we worked with, but a friend. And then, if things couldn't get better, we watched the video of our engagement session--absolutely beautiful. We couldn't wait to see him in November for our wedding!! When our wedding day finally came, it was like seeing a good friend you hadn't seen in months, full of big hugs, and we knew he was going to do great work. It was a VERY cold and blustery day but he toughed it out like a champ. It meant so much knowing an expert was there capturing our very special moments that we could watch for years to come. We absolutely loved how humble, encouraging and kind he is, which is evident by how much he encourages and promotes those he works with. We absolutely love Derek and cannot recommend him enough!!!! We are so thankful that God pointed us in his direction, and that he recommended our wedding photographer to us (equally amazing!). We look forward to staying in touch for the years to come. Thank you Derek for all that you've done and are doing for Dave and me!!!!!! We are so thankful for you!!! (Disclaimer to the reader--because we loved him and his work so much you likely will see this review on multiple wedding sites. Hope this speaks to his work and talent!!!)

We lived in California but were having our wedding in NC. Before our engagement session there was a HUGE thunderstorm - the worst in a while - and we were afraid we'd have to skip the session or possibly fly back to California without doing the session. Cory actually used the rain as an opportunity to get beautiful shots in the rain, both for evening and night shots! They turned out beautifully despite all potential hiccups. I was really impressed with him as a professional and with the quality of all of our photos and videos. One of his photos of us is in the New York Times in the Vows section, and we continue to get compliments on it. His entire team was like my right arm on my wedding day. They were hands-on, setting up shots in detail and positioning us the right way to get great looks while keeping it fun - and meaningful. Some of our nicest memories were the detailed shoots with all of our family, like of our parents and friends helping us get ready. They were there from morning until night. Communication with them was easy and they have a number of different packages for various sessions or weddings. The photos and videos turned out beautifully. They were all very professional and made it a great experience.

Videography was never optional for us, but I have heard from so many people who chose to opt out of it in order to save money. Guess what? Every single one of them regret that decision. I'm here to tell you that if it comes down to hiring a videographer or saving money, forget saving that money. Do whatever you have to do, whether that's getting rid of something else in the budget or what, in order to be able to look back at the precious memories made on your wedding day because it will all be a blur. Chris Yeatts was amazing to work with. I ended up choosing him because he filmed my friend's wedding and I absolutely loved her highlight video. As soon as we booked the venue and set a date, I sent an email to Chris and thankfully he was available! Booking with him was no trouble and the entire process of working with him was a breeze. He has quite a few packages to choose from on his website that fit a variety of needs. We got the Creative package which includes a full video of the wedding day, 8 hours of videography, and a highlight video among other things. It was the best option for us and the price was a bit lower than other videographers that we priced out. On the day of, Chris met us at the Air Bnb that we rented to get ready and from then on I barely noticed him. That's how it should be! He was beyond professional, unobtrusive, and polite. Looking back on the video, it's amazing that he was able to do all of that by himself! It did take him longer than expected to give us our videos. We got the full length video about 5 weeks later and the highlight video about 3 months later. I believe we were supposed to have both within 6 weeks. Chris was very communicative throughout the editing process and let us know that he was running behind. What more can you ask from a vendor? Some people probably would have gotten a little anxious, but I know that you cannot rush the creative process if you want the best product. I trusted him and I'm glad that I did. Our finished products are invaluable. Check out our highlight video here to see an example of Chris' work: https://vimeo.com/199761387. Now excuse me while I go watch it for the millionth time. Don't consider anyone else when looking for someone to film the best day of your life!

It took us weeks to…read morefind a videographer that we wanted to hire for the wedding, but once we found his page, and watched some of his previous weddings, we knew we wanted to hire him. Planning prior to the event was seamless with Chris and super easy. We went with the Experience Package and added an Additional Videographer as well. One thing that I thought was really cool was that he uses a drone and captures video from above the venue. Working with Chris on the day of the wedding was very easy; Chris and his second videographer came in with a plan and they did incredible! He overcame some obstacles from our venue, but worked through them without it affecting any of the work. For example, there was an airport in the area and they told him that he wasn't able to use the drone, yet Chris did what he had to do and coordinated with who he had to coordinate with in order to get the clearance to fly the drone. When we got our video, we were absolutely BLOWN AWAY! And then a few days after that we got our highlight video, and honestly, we were not prepared for how amazing it would turn out. Everyone that has seen it has said it looks like a preview for a movie and how amazing it is! We would recommend Chris to anybody looking to get a beautiful day captured on video to be able to re-live the day forever. If I could give Chris a 12/10, I would. He did an incredible job and we feel so happy and blessed to have found him.
