We go there weekly for lunch. Great quality food and great service. I love the warm cultural casual atmosphere.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this cute little restaurant in a very unassuming strip mall. The restaurant is very cute with a lot of different decorations and cool things for sale. Service was very polite and quick! I ordered the lunch Pad Thai with a level 4 spice. It was exactly what I wanted and came out great, I finished the whole thing! Prices are very reasonable as well. I will definitely be returning!

Enjoyed our evening of fine dining. Tried a couple of dishes we have not tried here. We started with Shrimp Spring Rolls, one of our standard appetizers. My sponsor had Thai Spicy with chicken. I ordered Pad Won Sen with chicken. My sponsor ordered level 1 of 5 for a "Spicy" dish and was not expecting it to have a little hot kick. I am chicken and ordered level 2 of 5 spice level. Very calm. Relaxing evening.

I am a Thai fan. This place will be one of my favs. The service the food the drinks were all superb. The place has cool decor. Some of the seating benches have tears in them. Our food order came out quickly. The spice level was right on. I ordered the spice 4 out of 5 and it wasn't to bad. It was just what I needed. My wife got 3 out of 5 and thought it was just perfect. She got the pad Thai and I ordered the yellow curry. We also had the veggie dumplings...delicious. my wife had a chai tea and I had the avocado drink. Both tasted great. I will definitely return.

This place has really solid lunch specials. However the lunch spring roll is the size of my pinky. The food is super delicious here and you can tell it's fresh. This place gets packed at lunch because of the good specials. You can adjust the spice levels upon request. It's a clean and unique restaurant. Will be back.

What a great find! Boun Bistro has been around for 10 years but since I'm newish to the area, I just discovered this great restaurant. Thai and Lao food is what you'll find. They are tucked away in a little strip mall and the inside is nicely decorated. We had the Lao Palaya salad, Lao sausage, and Basil Chicken Wok. All of it was delicious. The Boun green tea was also refreshing. Johnny gave us an idea to put the Lao sausage in a tortilla and garnish it with the papaya salad. It was so good the next day for lunch! We will definitely be back. There is so many dishes we want to try!

Still incredible! This is one of my favorite places in the city! The owners are so friendly and the food is wow good. Don't go there without getting the spring rolls.

The food is delicious here. This is our go-to restaurant whenever we're craving thai food. The staff was also very friendly! Highly recommend this restaurant. The green curry and khao soi are some of our favorites.

I found this spot on Yelp and decided to give it a try for lunch. While it's located in a bit of a rough area, once you're inside, it's surprisingly welcoming with nice décor for a casual Asian restaurant. I ordered the pad see ew with chicken to-go. The portion was decent, and it had a nice wok flavor. Next time, l'd probably ask for a higher spice level. I came back another time to try their pho, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me. There are definitely better pho spots nearby, but in fairness, this isn't a strictly Vietnamese restaurant, so l won't be too harsh. Overall, it's a solid choice for lunch or dinner if you're in the area.

They were good and fresh. I'd like to have had some fresh basil inside them. The peanut sauce was Devine. The perfect compliment. The crab Rangoon was soooo good. Lightly crispy in texture and delicious. One of the best I've ever eaten. The chicken pad Thai was "ok". I ordered a 2 in heat level and it was served a bit more "hotter" than I'd have liked. The chili oil slightly over powered the dish. The range offered was 1-5 in terms of spice and thought I'd be safe with a 2. I'm still trying to decide if I liked it or not (I'm super picky when it comes to Thai food) Landing 3 stars for the Pad Thai. The fried rice was good as was the wonton soup. My sis enjoyed it even though she's not a huge Thai food lover. This is a hole in the wall with only 6 tables. Service was Friendly and quick. M that I had ordered the spicy basil and chicken dish, the fried tofu appetizer and the fried shrimp appetizer during my last visitm The spicy basil and chicken dish I ordered I asked for a level two spice because I wasn't really wanting something super spicy . Their level two is other Thai restaurants levels three or four so it was spicier than I had anticipated but I didn't mind because I do like spicy food. I just wasn't in the mood for it at night, but it was good.Mm crispy shrimp appetizers were probably the best I've ever had at a Thai restaurant. The wonton wrapper on the outside was super crispy almost no oil which I really appreciate it wasn't greasy tasting and there was I want to say spinach or a green vegetable that was also incorporated inside the wrap so I really really like that The most disappointing item that I got was the fried tofu because it was overcooked almost to the point of being burnt, which made it very dried out and tough . Sadly, this was the one dish. I was really excited about because so few places make or fried tofu anymore. The portion size was fair for the price, but it was pretty inedible. I will probably not be ordering this dish again. Overall, the portion size for the price was very fair . The main entrée and the shrimp appetizer I ordered were delicious. The restaurant is very clean and the kitchen looked spotless and immaculate. It's a great little neighborhood restaurant. I'll definitely be going back and trying some of the other items on their menu. I would definitely recommend.

Malai Kitchen in Clearfork is a welcome detour from a shopping afternoon, Thai and Vietnamese…read morecuisine in a bright, airy space that makes you want to settle in for longer than your credit card probably intended. A quick note on seating: the patio is lovely in theory, with the optional open windows and a breezy feel, but the chairs are not winning any comfort awards. Inside booths are the move. Also worth noting, this is Fort Worth, and once the thermometer hits triple digits, the patio conversation ends itself if the windows are open. Plan accordingly. Malai starts every table with steamed sticky rice and an eggplant dip, which is a charming little ritual and a genuinely good one. We also kicked things off with the Edamame, a heads up on the heat level there, and the Fried Imperial Rolls, filled with ground pork and shrimp and served with a sesame soy sauce. Fair warning: these do not photograph well and arrive at the table looking a little shy. Don't be fooled. They're flavorful, subtly spicy, and well worth ordering. For entrees, we tried the Basil Vegetable Fried Rice two ways, one vegan and one with chicken. The vegan version was a genuine surprise, with vegetables cooked just right and a flavor that didn't need the chicken to make its case. The mushrooms, however, had the texture of something you'd find in a hardware store. Chew at your own risk. The Green Curry, meanwhile, was a case of too much of a good thing. The curry was so heavy-handed it drowned everything underneath it. Sometimes restraint is a virtue. Save room for the Banana Pot de Crème. It's creamy, subtly sweet, and a graceful finish to the meal. The service at Malai is enthusiastic, and I do mean enthusiastic. The staff works as a team, all smiles, attentive, always nearby. Occasionally a little too nearby. More than once a plate nearly disappeared before we were done with it. It's a small complaint, and honestly a far better problem than the alternative. They're warm, cheerful, and clearly enjoy what they do, which goes a long way. Portions are generous, so order a few dishes and share the wealth. For a lunch stop between shops, Malai Kitchen punches well above its weight.
