Another local shop made the problem even worse and refused to take responsibility. In desperation, I called Del's--and I'm so glad I did. Everyone at Del's was incredibly kind, honest, and communicative. They explained what might need attention in the future without any pressure to fix everything that day. They identified the real issue (which had nothing to do with what the previous shop claimed) and repaired it for less than half of the other shop's estimate. They replaced the battery without loss of all of the programming in the car (entertainment systems, etc ). I also voiced concerns about tires. Alignment of front end causing uneven wear, AWD car, tires replaced--but I also wanted a wider tire footprint on my heavy Touota 4Runner to be more confident driving on sand (Beach, etc.). They went to a website, guided me through options & choices until we found what appeared to be the perfect tires. The car now handles better, rides great... The also have competitive oil & filter changing svc AND can rotate tires at the same time which is best for AWD (All Wheel Drive) cars. They also did a safety & mechanical/brakes/belts/hoses/fluids/lights check. Being in the Publix shopping ctr, I can drop the car off for oil/filters/tire rotation & overall checkup while getting provisions for the week and have the car done by the time I'm finished. It seemed to work for a week and then the error came back along with the flashing lights on the dash. So I brought it back in today to have them look at it.
