I came to Boulevard because my hair stylist, Melissa came here from another salon. I followed her from the last place because she consistently does an amazing job. Before Melissa, I didn't have a preferred stylist, and I would go with whomever was available when I showed up at the previous place for a haircut, and the results of that usually showed. People would rush through and leave long hairs, or wouldn't leave a clean taper; it was usually minor annoyances that I really wouldn't notice until after I left, and then I would feel like a dumbass for not noticing until later when I looked in the bathroom mirror. It was rare that I had a haircut that left me fully satisfied; usually "Meh" at best. That was all *before* Melissa. The first time Melissa cut my hair, she did a great job, but others have as well. Usually, if I went back to a person, the second cut wasn't as good. It was pretty standard for the quality to fall off, but that wasn't the case with Melissa. Melissa has given me flawless haircuts every two weeks for probably a year now, and I have no intention of ever having anyone else cut my hair again. When Melissa retires or if she just decides to stop cutting hair, I will probably just start shaving my head. To say the least, Melissa is extremely detail-oriented and I would easily say that nobody else who has cut my hair even comes close to her in skill and quality. Im sorry but don't let the way this establishment looks and what the reviews say fool you. Humongous waste of time and money. Dropped my sister off at her dr appt down the street and searched yelp for the nearest nail salon. Pictures look friendly and inviting so I came here. Walked in and awkwardly stood there till someone asked what I needed‍ they then proceeded to yell for the woman who does nails. She came in and was friendly enough. Asked what I wanted which was acrylic nails with an ombre white tip. She said ok. Proceeded to get out the nail filer. I asked if she could cut my cuticles and she waved me off saying I didn't need it. I originally wanted a mani pedi and when I looked around I noticed the pedicure chair was broken I immediately changed my mind. She asked me what color and I told her again what I wanted. She stopped filing and said she couldn't do that but a gel manicure would be good enough. Informed her that I didn't want that. So settled on a simple manicure. Not long after she started soaking my cuticles she cut me. I started to bleed and she didn't say anything. Only tried to stop the bleeding. I'm all honesty the whole experience was rushed and aggressive. By the end of it was aggravated and ready to leave. She asked about the pedi and I told her no. I gave her my card and she said cash only. Mind you there aren't any signs or indication that it was cash only. I had to wait 20 min for my sister to come with cash. Needless to say I didn't leave a tip. Not worth it. Don't go. Wish I could leave 0 stars read more

I have just went to this salon for the first time and DeeDee is amazing. She not only has a very beautiful personality and made me feel probably more comfortable then I have ever felt at a salon and with a hairstylist but she is so freaking talented with hair. This girl definitely knows what she is doing. I came in last minute for chunky blonde highlights on my black hair. We all know how difficult it is to get proper and even blonde highlights on hair that had been dyed black only a month ago but she worked MAGIC and gave me some pretty Badass highlights. I love how DeeDee was such a perfectionist with my hair. She seemed as if she took so much pride in her work and making it perfect and exactly the way I wanted it. From my past experiences with many different hairstylists I think that quality is very hard to find. She is totally my definition of amazing customer service. Melissa has been cutting my hair and my daughters' hair for years. We now travel an hour to see her at the salon. Our experience has always been above exceptional! Dee Dee did my haircut, nothing wrong with it, she did a nice job... what disappointed me was that I walked in with my mom, they básically did exactly the same, hair washed and haircut but the difference in price was huge, mom was charged $30 while I was charged $65.... really??? It was very disappointing, honestly never to go back again... I'd rather drive all the way over to Gardena to my hairstylist, worth the drive and still affordable.... the salon should have a list of services with equal prices... just feel like it's very unfair....even on your services says $40 for haircut and style, but $65 is ridiculously high!!!! Do not walk in! You never know how much you're getting ripped off with! read more

Melissa is an amazing stylist! She's wonderful for the whole family too! Not only does she cut and color my hair, but she also cuts my 5 year old son's hair with amazing patience and precision.
