On day two of my YMCA membership and couldn't be happier. Registration and tour were smooth as butter yesterday and the staff were happy to accommodate me by ensuring we were wrapped up before my class begin (hooray for lunchtime TRX). I was pleasantly surprised by everything that the venue has to offer. Free Ozo coffee in the lobby, hot tub, sauna, pool, and an indoor track. Today I returned with a friend to take a dance class (I should mention here that dance is not my forte and I have a long history of freezing up in class). As myself and my friend had printer troubles this AM I was happy that the Y offered to print the online pass out for my friend - phew, relief. This dance class consisted of all ladies, a very talented and passionate teacher and amazing music. The teacher really helped us to open up, spread our wings and just let go. Following the class two separate classmates approached my friend and I to thank us for joining them and to tell us they had a great time dancing with us. I was totally blown away. I'm super glad to be a member here and look forward to returning tomorrow (they have a Jumpstart program where you can earn incentives such as a free personal trainer session for 12 visits in 30 days). Though the parking lot is a bit full the bike racks always seem to have lots of extra spots.

When I first decided to give the Y a shot, I was broke, and knew they have a 10 day free trial pass. I was expecting a sleazy, dirty place a la "village people" song... Boy, was I wrong. The gym here is fantastic. It's clean, all of the machines are new, and all the cardio equipment is hooked up to individual TVs so if you're like me and don't have cable, you can got there to get your fix. There are tons and tons of classes offered each day, from yoga and pilates to aqua aerobics, step, spinning, and cardio-kickboxing. Membership is $46 a month, but its on a sliding scale and you can apply for financial aid to get a cheaper rate.

I am a Y friend! When you buy or sell real estate with me I donate 5% of my net commission to the YMCA in YOUR name!!!

Ask the Community - Boulder YMCA

Are there showers at this location?

Yes. However, the amenities are poor compared to other YMCA branches. The "towels" are more like wash cloths and you are limited to just one of them. Also, there is no shampoo or conditioner provided, just a bit of hand soap in each shower stall.… Read more

Made it to Lifetime boulders grand opening before leaving to Arizona!…read more I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with the staff and how friendly they are. Your GPS will send you to a parking garage, which is the correct parking garage. The Lifetime pool is to the right of the entrance so if you are looking at the gate of the pool, you're heading the right way. This Lifetime is single story one level and my favorite part is the indoor lap pool, hot tub, cold plunge steam room, and sauna combination. The kitchen here is not a full-service kitchen, so you'll find lots of snacks and easy things like avocado toast. I do love the booths here. They're super aesthetic and comfy. I also like the GTX/ultra fit room. I can't wait to come back to take a class here. Lots of spots open the picture that I took only shows half the room so just double the spots. Double the spots for double the fun!

Every single piece of equipment is state-of-the-art, spotless, and feels brand new. The outdoor pool is amazing and having an indoor pool for winter is a total game changer and a must for Boulder. I was greeted at the front desk by the friendliest guy ever, which set the tone. The locker room felt more like a luxury spa than a gym and was immaculate, modern, and honestly kind of gorgeous. The treadmills were next-level too. They even had a setting where it feels like you're pushing a sled. And the recovery area....Unreal. Massages, deep stretching, pneumatic leg recovery--the works. This is the kind of place you look forward to coming back to again and again. First impressions matter, and this one was straight-up number one. I wish my small town where I live had a luxury like this.

Parking is plentiful and classes run all day long. Reserve your class ahead online or via their app. When you arrive just check in at the front desk. Stow your items safely in the lockers out front or stow them in a cubby near the restrooms. Don't worry abut filling your water bottle up at home - they have two filtered water fountains. Studio is large, clean and has super fun lights. Workouts are friendly for folks no matter where they're at. Treadmills are gentle on the joints and smart (you can link your Apple Watch up to them for workout tracking purposes). While the coach leads you on your workout journey you choose if you want to walk, jog, run, or sprint. I'm working through a few injuries and it was easy to accommodate the workout by lowering the incline or decreasing the speed when I needed to. If you enjoy data you can wear a heart rate monitor. Values will display up on the screen so you and the coach can track your exertion. Showers and towels make it friendly before or during work. Highly recommend checking them out. I originally joined just to have access to a treadmill during the winter and chose the highest…read moremembership mainly because I enjoy the massage beds. Unfortunately, I've been a bit disappointed overall. When you first walk in, there are usually several staff members at the front desk. The staff I've interacted with are always polite and helpful when they notice you, though they often appear to be chatting among themselves or on their phones. My main concerns are with the facilities. Most of the TVs are usually set to the same sports channel showing the same game. Occasionally one is on the news without subtitles, and another often seems stuck on the same Bob Ross rerun. Many of the treadmills are frequently out of order, which can be frustrating. As for the massage beds, only one or two are usually working, and even then the pressure is sometimes very weak. I've also noticed that many members don't wipe down equipment after use. It would be helpful if staff could gently remind people of this. Because of these issues, I plan to downgrade to the $10/month membership, as the higher tier doesn't feel worth $35 to me

Everyday I go in there's some sort of mess that is even more repulsive than the last. Feces, hair, strange liquids, you name it. The machines & equipment are often grimy/sweaty due to the empty spray bottles & empty paper towel dispensers that are rarely refilled. It looks like there's a lot of employees on a given day, but not much is being done to keep the establishment clean.

Miss Rita can pick 'em well. Our kids have learned, grown, socialized, and played a ton--exactly what they need. When we first moved to town, we looked for daycare options in every prospective neighborhood, which is to say a lot. The yard at Strawberry Farm was the first indication this place is the best. It's a huge yard. There's a "car" area for driving, grass area, playhouses and slides, sometimes a bouncy house, sometimes a sprinkler, always a sun-protected sandbox. In the summer, there's a sun shade canopy over the kid-height picnic table and benches. There's a garden the kids help with. Inside is cozy. The whole downstairs is for kids--a quiet, dark nap room, another nap room for the youngest so they can sleep longer, a music room, cozy living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom with changing station/small toilets and sinks the kids can reach. The schedule is posted in the entrance hall. The kids have drawers and hanging pockets for delivering and picking up things. More about sleep: Our oldest had just turned 3 and we were lucky there was a spot open. The little one was 1 and no spot. He went somewhere else that was...fine...he was safe and fed. However, maybe they never turned the lights off? or didn't have a quiet room? hard to imagine but he didn't nap. They said he wouldn't nap, which was nonsense. At pick up sometimes he was asleep literally on the floor of the main room. He'd sleep in the car/bike, pass out at home and barely revive for dinner. We had to move him ASAP. Once with Miss Rita, he napped perfectly fine without any trouble. Such a relief. They have healthy food and snack every day. Lunch is prepared and the menu posted daily (I love that). They occasionally take fieldtrips to the library and a local Italian restaurant (and send along any leftovers). They have circle time and interactively enjoy story books every day. They learn manners, taking turns and polite language that has been very helpful to use at home. Life is never always smooth and to help with that, Rita will always make time to discuss concerns and issues. We've talked to her when we wondered about our kids and she talked to us when there was something we could help with. That communication is important.
