After trying one other place downtown and receiving a bad cut (ARGH!), I followed up with Cristina at Bella's a couple of days later to see if she could fix the bad cut. I found my stylist! Put her great, genuine and warm personality aside. - She took the time to listen to what I was wanting. - She made suggestions. - She is knowledgeable, up-to-date on the latest cuts. - She is METICULOUS - yes...she is a perfectionist and took extra time to make sure my cut met her expectations. - Her shop is spotless - very clean. I can honestly say I am more impressed with her that I was my regular stylist back home. So, if you are looking for a great place for a great cut, I highly recommend giving Cristina a try.

Simply put, BEST hair cut I've ever received-period. little bit of a scheduling snafu though; when you say DAY SPA, expect to spend all day. I had colour and cut. She was horrified about the way my colour turned out, but she didn't need to be, it just needed to be washed and worn a day or two - because within that time, it "developed" and turned fabulous. Seems that Robin is now joining forces with her and that will be a VERY NICE addition. The two are sure to present a world class salon in little ol' Helena. 'bout time! I really shouldn't be writing this because now I'll have problems getting in again! Stay Awesome Christina and Robin! xoxo.

A few weeks ago, I couldn't get in with Jake so I scheduled with somebody else online and the owner called me and actually recommended a different therapist thinking I would prefer that person's style and pressure a little bit more and I did. She's no longer here so today I'm seeing Blu as Jake wasn't available, she's incredible! I just finished a metabolic cleanse and Blu was able to make some suggestions to help me flush! The second you walk through the door, your shoulders drop you take a deep breath, and upon check-in the employee at the front desk asks you if you would prefer a foot soak or to sit in the sauna until it's time for your appointment. Personally, I chose the foot soak, and I'm so glad that I did. The delicious infused water is hydrating and soothing. Sekiva is lovely. I believe this was the greatest facial I have had in years. I like to keep up with my appearance, and I like to feel good! Hibernate day, Spa uses incredible and clean products. Sekiva's touch is delicate and healing. I could probably stay in this spa all day, and I think next time I will! If you are looking for rejuvenation, peace, tranquility, and you want to walk out, feeling even more beautiful than you did, walking in hibernate day spa is a must! thank you so much for the wonderful service. I am so excited to book again!

Near the downtown Bozeman area, we were easily able to find this little house which is unassuming from the outside when you think spa. Inside is so lovely, they had a little comfortable waiting room where you chill before you are taken downstairs for bliss. Jamie did my massage, and I dozed off which says everything in my book. She was absolutely amazing with the right level of pressure to make my 90 minutes go way too fast. My bestie had this tall young guy, and she said it was probably the best massage she ever had. She has a very physical job, so that says everything! On our way out, we perused the skincare products they had available for purchase, not leaving empty handed. I can't recommend Indira enough, if I were to ever get back to the area I would not hesitate coming here again!

When I mentioned I would like to work on certain areas, Omni was told it was more of a relaxing massage not a deep tissue. SHOULDNT I be able to ask for target areas? My partner was able to... so all in all- cute place I just wish I could've had a massage with some muscle relief. Didn't need to be deep tissue but a little more than a soft stroke would've been worth the money and would've satisfied my expectations. Ask for Jamie as a massage therapist- she's the one who my partner gave 5 stars!

The lady at the front desk walked me down the hall, pointed at the "women's" room, and said, "go in there and change." Uh...not even going to show me the locker or show me how to put in the code?? Get into the ladies locker room and it was tiny and a mess. Towels on the floors, no robes in the lockers, trash...just gross. My massage was very good, but then comes the facial. The worst facial of my life. She asked me about my goals, and I said moisture and extractions. She tells me, "they're not setup for extractions here." I feel like that is standard for facials and they should have a disclaimer about that. Go into the facial, and she was so rough. Weirdly massaged me and kept yanking on my arms saying, "relax!" She also did not tell me a single product that she used on my face/explain what each did. I go to pay...tip was already included, which on principle, annoys me. Then the ladies at the front can't print off my receipt so one says, "do you mind if I sign it for you?" YES I MIND!! They also put a "gift box" up front with your name as a way to push products. It's not a gift - everything is over $50. Worst money I've ever spent. While the massage was good, I could've gotten a good massage for a fraction of the price. I paid for a spa experience that I did not get. Do not go here.

We also got a delicious slushy from the Saloon which we took to the pool as we relaxed. The two pools of varying heat were really nice and despite the crowds had plenty of space. If I lived locally for around $15 I would get the day pass. The full bed, which was not super comfortable, was also tight for my wife and I to share and the room in general was on the smaller side. Overall, it was clean but basic and it seems like you may be paying more so here for the location. The setting is beautiful and we enjoyed walking around the property. If you have the budget, you may want to consider upgrading to one of the Oregon trail style wagons or one of the lodges on site. We knew we'd have a more budget friendly room with shared bathroom arrangement so the rustic traditional lodging did meet our expectations (and seems more affordable than staying in Bozeman by comparison). At the restaurant we tried the classic caesar salad, Beef Tenderloin Tips, and the special of the sea scallops. The salad comes with giant leafs that were a bit difficult to eat but it was tasty. The beef and the scallops were also good, although the latter were unsurprisingly very expensive. Despite the pomp and circumstances of their famous "flaming orange" (which is indeed impressive), we aren't big orange/chocolate fans among other elements of this dessert so instead we got a delicious ice cream cake to go. We took the desert to the saloon next door to see the local band which was fun.

We stayed in the covered wagons. First of all, they do not look like the picture. Only one has a fire pit, and that wasn't either of ours. There is a group fire pit by the bathrooms, but they wouldn't even help us with smores supplies or sticks. You are in the middle of nowhere, so if you forgot something, don't expect them to help. The area around the wagons is very overgrown. They had a horseshoe pit that was hard to see because there was so much grass. Not that it would matter, they didn't have any horseshoes there. The wagons themselves had good mattresses and comfortable bedding. However, they only had air conditioner available and no heat. Kind of pointless in the Montana mountains. I'm glad our weather was mild while we were there. We checked in at 6:30, and asked when the pool side grill would close. They said after 9pm. We got on our swimsuits, and headed to the pool, only to find the grill closed and it wasn't even 7! I went to the front desk to complain, and all they said was the girl who told us was wrong. So I asked about eating in the restaurant but they said they stopped taking reservations at 4 PM even if they have any openings. So, that left us feeding five kids in a saloon. There were only two saloon workers that night. They did their best, but you could tell they were very understaffed. It made the whole experience pitiful. It is not like you have another choice of a place to eat when you're that far from town. Overall, Chico is an overpriced waste. Save your money and go to one of the other cool places in the area. The Hot Springs at Yellowstone Hot Springs is better than the Chico pool anyway.
