I honestly couldnt have asked for a better time. Exceeded my expectations big time! The owner, Jo, was the best host, super funny and very chill. She takes huge pride in her place, very happy to take you around, very giving when she didnt need to be. We did the bottle feeding the baby highland calves, but boy did we get much more! Best time, thanks Jo and team!!!

Casey was the host for our visit , My daughter turned 15 and wanted to "Pet Cows" We found the BougieCattleCompany and booked a photo session. Our group of 7 were so excited and it did NOT disappoint. Casey gave suggestions and allowed us to explore and experience the best time ever . Took great photos (with her help) and Casey made us all so comfortable and we're all ready to plan out our next trip. Big THANKS TO CASEY AND THE BOUGIE CATTLE COMPANY!!!

We celebrated my daughter's 17th birthday at the ranch. It's was so much fun and we can't wait to go back

Highly recommend the Ranch Tour. The owner was so friendly and energetic. We weren't sure what to expect but had the most amazing time. She personalized our tour to us which made the experience that much better.

This is such a special & wonderful place. Came here from out of town to celebrate my mom's birthday…read moreand we are so glad we did -- we're already looking to plan our next visit. Not sure about people's nonsensical complaints, but yes.... this is located near a rural highway, but it wasn't busy or inconvenient. Also, yes, they were generous to provide a free shuttle service from your parking spot to the entrance in a golf cart, which we really appreciated because we didnt have to walk in the heat, which is the obvious alternative. The tickets are a great price, especially knowing that it ultimately goes back to help the animals. Some people seem to be confused on the nature of this establishment. It is not a traditional "petting zoo" -- its an *animal sanctuary*. (Which is well disclosed everywhere, if you just take a moment to read a little bit, you'll clearly understand that). Their whole point is to rescue farm animals from cruelty and *slaughter* -- so it seems like common sense that a place that literally rescues farm animals from being slaughtered would also, of course, oppose slaughter and therefore, support veganism. Not complicated to comprehend if you just think it through a little. Obviously, it wasnt forced anyway -- it was just offered incase people were interested. No pressure. All of the volunteers we encountered were incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. You can tell theyre genuinely passionate about animals. They enforced the boundaries of the animals well, while keeping things fun and safe for everyone. Awesome facilities, very clean, and well planned. Again, a very special place that were so excited to visit again. Cheers!

My family and I drove out to see this place last weekend because we love animals and had heard…read moreabout it for years. We arrived to find parking along a busy highway (?!?), with golf carts shuttling visitors to and from the entrance, just a few feet away from cars whizzing past. That was weird. Then we got to the sort of holding area where they keep guests until their reservation time. Before we went in, the owner came out to greet us...sort of. She gave us a basic history of the place, but before she did, she wished us "happy pride" and told us all about how virtuous she was, as if everyone should be celebrating? Weird and inappropriate to say the least. The last thing she did before allowing us the entrance we'd paid handsomely for, was to lecture us about becoming vegans. Which is one of my biggest pet peeves about vegans to begin with. Then she stood at the entrance and offered everyone literature on veganism as we walked past. I declined. Wholly inappropriate, offensive and off putting. I didn't pay to be lectured about something I disagree with. It was nice to (finally) see and interact with the animals, but some of the volunteers were too much. I understand they're used to dealing with idiots every weekend, but some of the instructions they were giving were flat out dangerous, like having babies (maybe 18 months old) feed carrots to grabby, nippy horses. Bad idea when little hands aren't any bigger than the carrots. Most (not all) volunteers were just a bit too power trippy and under-educated for my taste. I will say the facilities were pretty clean and appeared well kept, but the horses and donkeys were filthy and in dire need of grooming. Give your visitors brushes and curry combs and show them how to brush the animals. Win-win for everyone. It was nice to hang out with the animals, but most of the people I could do without. Probably won't be back again.

The animals are so friendly, and the hour just flies by as you feed and spend time with the animals. The pigs love belly rubs and will come up to you for some snuggles! They don't like being picked up though, but if you stay still with a bucket of lettuce they won't leave you alone! :) We also got the VIP Mini Cows package and the owner, Wes, truly treated us like VIPs. We were lucky enough to be the only ones to spend time with the cows, and we got to feed them and lounge in the VIP area. The farm also doubles as an Airbnb with stargazing, and the suites are named after each of the cows! We were only here for a day, but are planning on coming back for the Airbnb and get the full farm and stargazing experience!

We really enjoyed our conversations with Wes, and he made the entire experience so fun and memorable. We received a complimentary bucket of greens to feed the pigs. Definitely wear clothes you're comfortable getting dirty in - the pigs love the mud, and they also love cuddling up with you! We would love to visit again and stay in their Stargazer Suites that overlook the cows' ranch area!

It was clean kitchen well stocked. Ac worked great. Beds and pull out couch were comfortable. Cute chicken coop in the back. Patio furniture was nice. Views great. Hot tub worked well. I especially appreciated what seemed like local art being used throughout the entire house to tastefully decorate -- without going overboard with clutter. That was well done. But, netting out at almost $800/night increases expectations and so it probably deserves more like 3 or 3-1/2 stars. It was a 3 bedroom home and was ok -- nothing fancy or high-end. So maybe the cost was based on the size? Importantly, what we really believed we were paying extra for that would have been worth the money was the "farm stay" aspect. It may have been a house on a farm property, but it was not a "farm stay experience." The only thing that came close were the animals, but their enclosures were small, cramped, on the side of the road (which was steep and hard to walk on), and the animals did not look healthy or well taken care of. The alpaca's fur was matted up and many of the chickens had bald spots on their backs, potentially due to overcrowding, rooster overbreeding, or aggressively going after each other in such a small space for so many hens (and hopefully not from parasites). It was a side show vs. a real farm experience. Back to the house, another attraction in the listing was the hot tub -- but it had a really horrible smell. The towels we used to dry off with kept the smell too. We used it on the first day, but not afterward. It's a shame. If the hot tub issue were fixed, the property is nice enough, but I do believe it is mis-marketed. It'd probably be very appealing for a bigger group who is visiting the Temecula wine country scene, but who doesn't want to be in the middle of the fray and, instead, wants a quieter location that feels off the beaten path. It should not be marketed as a "farm stay." And the poor animals should definitely go, especially as they feel like such an after thought on the property anyhow.

To know especially that these are rescued animals and are being taken care of so carefully, giving us the privilege of being able to give them our love as well, it was a heartwarming experience. Plenty of free parking available right infront of the sanctuary. There is a cute little shop attached to the sanctuary, where you can buy their handmade truffle chocolates which are so delicious (coming from someone who isn't a fan of truffle chocolates), fresh farm eggs, honey, and other delicacies. With your zoo "ticket" you get 2 free samples of their chocolates and a hefty bag of feed for the animals. The animals are mostly in their own pens, with some together. There's even a couple of the pigs you'll find out of pens, just hanging out on the property, laying beside the building. You're able to go into the tortoise pen and feed/pet him as well, 2 people at a time inside the pen, as he does get anxious. You're not able to feed all of the animals, but for the most part you can. Each pen has a sign for which animals are ok to feed/pet and which are not. They are very calm and friendly, as long as you are too. They take the feed very gently and don't bite your fingers. On the weekends they offer pizza made fresh for the visitors, and have plenty of covered outdoor seating options to enjoy. They also offer wine tasting, but we did not partake, as we had just left a winery, but I'm sure it is quite enjoyable as well. Definitely a must stop if you're in the area and it's a 5 minute drive from the wineries!

My parents live in the area, I grew up here, and my friend was visiting and staying at the Murrieta Hot Springs Resort and was looking for other fun activities to do around here. Neither of us have ever been and we love petting zoo's. We were actually just at the Julian Farm & Orchard Petting Zoo the day right before we visited this place. This place definitely had a larger selection of animals, and was a lot more interesting. We got a really good deal too with the Groupon, so I'd say it was pretty good value for the experience. Service - I will say that tbh they seem a little desperate for cash. They're a small business, I get that. But the single free chocolate truffle sample to advertise the expensive chocolates, pizza, and ice cream they sell. They're trying, and we're happy to support them - but just for the petting zoo. We really enjoyed petting and taking pics of and with the animals. I liked that they had a very unique zonkey - zebra donkey mix. All of the animals were so nice and friendly, fun to pet, and I loved that some would pose for pictures too, which were hilarious. Business-wise, maybe some ideas for them instead would be to focus more on the animals and less on the food: add horse and camel rides and teach the camel to kiss someone for a picture for an extra charge? We had such a great experience here and would highly recommend checking them out if you're ever in the area! They're in the Wine Country area of Temecula.
