After our visit to the Citadelle-Museum, we came back down to a public "park area" with restaurants…read moreon either side, a petting zoo with animals, and an ice skating rink that was decorated for the holidays when we were there. This place looks more like a large food stand but has about a half dozen high rise tables adjacent to it. They serve traditional fast food fare, hot dogs, fries, cold and hot sandwiches, crepes, burgers, etc. It's a really quick alternative looking around at all the sit-down, traditional places across the street on both sides.
Most of the stuff here is finger food. I ordered the Club Poulet (Chicken Club sandwich with lettuce, tomato, chicken, and two other ingredients) in the 'Pic Nic' line of their menu for 5.50 Euro and my dad ordered the Americain sandwich (American sandwich with lettuce tomato, chicken, and fries) for 6.50 Euro, one order of fries (2 Euro) for myself, and two cokes (2 Euro each I think). Like some places, here they put the fries in the sandwich and you can pick your sauce. It was a quick sit-down meal that was tasty and filling. It's one cheaper option you can find in the immediate area.
