Get the 'chos, they are the bomb. Also extra points for curly fries, you really can't go wrong. We came here after getting a recommendation from the Elevation staff. It was after a long day of skiing so we were very hungry. My partner and I got a draft beer each. We got the nachos and a burger to share. The 'chos were loaded, crunchy and delicious. The burger was a little dry but I was placated by the curly fries. I love curly fries. It was more than enough food and we actually ended up taking some of the 'chos home! Service was good. This a good little spot right on the hill. I was beginning to lose faith in finding anything worth eating in this town. We came here for aps last night and now lunch fresh from the slopes. Last night the nachos were really good. Others ordered the chicken wings and really enjoyed them too. Today we had the special Cajun chicken burger with sides of soup and fries. The burger and fries was really good. My soup was good but not amazing. Others had the Thai laksa I think it is, noodle soup, which they enjoyed too. So on the whole I like this spot. Nice atmosphere and good service. Food seems to be consistently good. Price is about rhe same as what you'll get on the hill restaurants but I think way better. read more

Visited in the summer on a gorgeous day. We chose this place because their outdoor seating area overlooked the mountain and all the activities. It was busy and loud but we didn't mind. It's what you would expect for a bar. We seated ourselves and were immediately greeted. The wait staff is very friendly and very attentive even with a full house. Our waitress never skipped a beat. We ordered the poutine and half rack of ribs, which came with curly fries and cole slaw. We had them get the dishes to us at the same time since we were sharing. I miss poutine and it was so good! The fries were cooked to perfection. The gravy was delicious and the cheese curds was the perfect amount. Only in Canada! The rib dinner was decent. The fries were good and the ribs were tender. The sauce was delicious! I also loved how they plated the dish on a wooden board. My Sweetie ordered a Moscow Mule and I had a Mango Mojito. Both drinks were excellent. However the mojito could have used a little less mint. Overall, we had a wonderful experience here and would definitely be back the next time we make the trip back. read more

In the past 10+ years, I've been to Bottom for lunch after the morning ski, 7~10 times every year. Noisy, of cause, it is a bar, it is the right atmosphere. I've tried all the foods in their menu. Being a lifelong skier I know how hard it is to find good, let alone edible, food at any mountain and you're still paying an arm and a leg to get fed. So when I stumbled upon Bottoms at Sun Peaks I was fucking ecstatic. Is it the best food? No. Is it the cheapest food? No Is it delicious food with gigantic portions with a rotating beer special for 12 bucks a pitcher? Yes. I don't expect anything life changing when I'm out skiing. I expect food that will warm me up and beer that will get me loaded after a long day. So here's to you Bottoms...you're the tops! read more

Ok this is an apres ski bottom of the hill pub with ski boot access, many artifacts on the walls, pool table, loud music and tons of happy people. What's not to like. Personally my expectations were not high for the food especially as I ordered a lentil/yam salad! Topped with grilled chicken and infused with candied pecans and goat cheese this was a large treat. Another of our Sun Peaks lunch hangouts. Very busy. Very crowded. Had a substantial wait. Place is not the cleanest...our table was reset without a wipe down so there was still food on it from the last customer. Yucko. We waited at the bar where the bartender told us he would place our order and the food would probably be ready shortly after we were seated. It was. My poutine was unusual. I misheard due to the noise and got pulled pork on it at a $5 extra charge. I wanted to try it with pork belly. Should have left things alone. I ate dinner here twice last week while skiing, once with one friend and once as part of as 18-person group. I had good food both times and friendly service. The glass porch was commendably warm with its overhead heaters despite the cold outside and the main restaurant space is also cosy with a nice rustic vibe. The soups were very good both nights and the drink prices were fair and a bit less than some other restaurants in the resort. read more

Always crazy busy. I recommend you go before the lunch crowd hits (before 11:30) or after 2. Poutine is DE-lish (what Poutine isn't??). The margarita was good here. Fresh lime...no mixer. Beers are always good. Arugula salad was really good. Only 4 stars because it's just too busy for me...and that's because of it's prime location at the base of the main ski chairs. The Host, who's been there since I first starting coming to Sun Peaks, is super efficient...I swear he has eyes on the back of his head and a photographic memory. :). Our waitress was really good. Not being overally impressed the previous days with the food options, we decided to chose a pub for lunch. The Sapporo for $4.50 was a nice surprise. We had the idea to order pretty simple food, so I went with the pulled pork with slaw which was quite tasty. The curly fries were also good. The beef dip, as well as the regular burger got decent praise. We had very low expectations going in and after having the food, discounted beers and great service, we were rather surprised and happy with the pretty quick mountain lunch. Overall, it's not an exceptional place, but when we wanted simple pub food, this place was pretty decent. It would only garner a 4 star review in relation to other places we tried for lunch or dinner in Sun Peaks. Overall, it would probably be closer to a 3 star. Considering everything else in Sun Peaks, this certainly seemed to be one of the better options. read more

Good food, reasonable prices, a nice beer selection, a very cold and tasty Moscow Mule all in a fun, friendly, welcoming environment. Got take out from here and the service was horrible. Bartender Philip took my friends juice he brought in even though we only getting take out. Instead of saying "no outside drinks" the bartender said "hey what's up?" and snatched it out of his hands without warning. The food took 15 minutes longer than they said. They brought half the food out to us instead of leaving it under the heater and bringing it all out at the same time. The Mac and cheese I got was over 8$ despite literally being kraft dinner (no flavour). Overall, really negative experience despite my friends enjoying their burgers. read more

Having been in a LOT of slopeside pubs this is one of my top 3 in BC. The atmosphere is great and the food is as good as I've had in any ski pub. The staff are friendly and efficient. As to other reviews that talk about slow service, thats what happens when you hit the best pub on any mountain at noon. Go early or later if you don't want to wait. I've never had a bad meal there and, having owned a restaurant, appreciate that sometimes, when you get it right, you get slammed at lunch and things slow down. read more

I had the chili and a few drinks. The chili had good flavor and a nice kick to it. I would definitely frequent this place if Sun Peaks were my home mountain. I get that the staff are pretty much all temp and seasonal but as one other person mentioned, if you're paying as much as you do to ski and then have to wait almost 2 hours for lunch then you better find something else. On recent visit w/5 others, put our name on list well before 12:30pm. After long wait, we were finally seated but wait staff took even longer time to take our orders. (Everything took way too long) Food was good, though. Over 2 hrs. for lunch was too long for beers, burghers & fries. I spent a season living at this resort and Bottoms is the local hangout for locals and tourists alike. Being right at the base of the two main chairlifts it gets especially busy for lunch and just after the lifts close on weekends and busy times. The food is typical pub style, if you want something to share go with the nachos as there is plenty there to fill a few people up. The pulled pork sandwiches are also good. There are drink specials most days and also food specials like ribs and wings on most days too. The waitresses here are pretty good but the thing that lets it down is the bar staff and door staff. You may have the odd nice one but the majority are rude and still expect a tip even if you stand there for 30 mins waiting for them to serve you despite the fact they are completely ignoring you and then if you don't tip they will remember and never serve you again. They also swear at customers and tell them to get out of there bar. As much as I love the mountain, Bottoms is by far the rudest I have been treated anywhere in the world. Go to Morrissey's or Masa's where at least you will be treated with respect. read more
