When I asked the cup couldn't be found. The cashier then turns around and makes the drink shaking it in the cup without using a shaker just in the cup with a lid with liquid coming out of the lid on to her hands. She shakes it off and gave it to me. When I said "this is not right" she just stood there. I asked for my money back and without flinching a person called Nikita approved it on the system with no eye contact or remorse. An older person one the other till then goes on to tell me that's how things are done here. no Starbucks procedures were followed and when we are over paying for our favourite drinks it would be nice to be treated like a customer. The 4 woman behind the counter shouldn't be allowed near a Starbucks ever.

I'd take some convincing that the rent in this decrepit airport, that's as much of a run down dump today as it was when we last travelled through 16 months ago is higher than high street costs. It's a £1 for 10 minutes just to drop off anyone travelling. The tables here are dirty. Many tables are littered with the thrash and waste food left by previous customers. There's zero cleaning between customers yet signs about social distancing are all around. Why bother in these circumstances? The floors too are filthy. I see 4 staff behind the counter. There's been very little customer demand in the last half hour possibly the price hikes and the dirt put folks off yet not one of the four idle folks behind the counter can be arsed to clean up. I tried to load money onto my Starbucks card but it's impossible as it's a franchise. It's two stars for the coffee and ok service but zero for green stars - they seem to pay the same care to recycling and environment planet friendly materials as they do to cleaning to keep customers safe in a pandemic, in other words little to nothing. The Norn Iron phrase is it's a dirty hole and as I hit the button to post this a quick clean up is underway but not a cloth or disinfectant spray in sight.

I mentioned before that the last time we used Fed & Watered it broke a fairly long run of being…read morequite disappointing. It had always been the go to place, mainly through lack of competition in the airport, it also monopolised the all-important views of the runway. We stopped for food a short distance down the road from the airport this time and I was only in the mood for coffee once there, and since you know where to stand with Starbucks and they now have to most commanding view of the apron..... I went there. My wife though only finished shopping after I had finished my iced latte and was also looking for a quieter part of the airport to breast feed our son. So we ended up back in the new revamped Fed & Watered. The area that the old F&W sat in has been expanded a good deal, but F&W itself is now smaller as it shares the expanded space with its sister premises 'Coco' and 'Chopped'. The décor and set up look the part, it's stylish and modern. The only downside is that to use space more efficiently, the other 2 outlets cover a lot of the window area, which is a real irk to me as I'm a big kid and I like to see out at airports! All we got here in the end was an Americano and a brownie, and we were really only getting those to use the seating for feeding the baby, so we didn't experience the hot food. However looking around it was notable that despite being dinner time most other people around were having similar to us, tray bake and tea/coffee. The girl that served us was 'OK', there was a little of the unenthusiastic demeanour (that seems to have been mentioned about this place a few times on other review sites) which wasn't great, but the service was prompt enough. I couldn't see the coffee being made but it was just 'OK'. I didn't taste barista made, more the sort of coffee you get in the likes of Greggs where the staff just hit a button on a machine. It wasn't bad, but not amazing either. The brownie was quite nice and seemed fresh though. All in all the seating and décor make the new F&W a nice place to be (despite covering so much of the windows), even if I couldn't guarantee that the food and service has risen to the same standards!

It was pretty small and there wasn't much to it, while now it is a good location for anyone dropping off passengers or facing a while in the check-in hall for whatever reason. This is especially convenient as the coffee and food options airside for those unlucky enough to be providing lifts and not getting to go anywhere themselves are limited as everything in the service station across the road outside that was a decent enough option pre-COVID is now closed. So the Ritazza in check in, it's not a bad place to sit, it is well enough decorated and comfortable, and not a bad place for airport people watching. The coffee is pretty decent and the food offerings are well on a par with any other coffee shops or cafes of its type. Nice to see its come on over the years.

I've tried the cafe a few times but I really don't like the taste of their coffees and they never have the toppings when you ask for them, but even though they don't have stuff they don't reduce their prices. The cafe itself is pretty comfortable, cosy, relatively clean and the staff are friendly but as the prices charged are premium then all the coffees should always be too. So having tried it a few times over several weeks and it's been consistently poor tasting coffee (I tried cappuccino and flat white) I'm now done - no point in throwing good money after bad.
