Not enough space to complement the employees that have been amazingly helpful each and every time I frequent Botello's location. The lack of 1 star (to make it 5) is due to they sometimes challenging hours; however, I understand we are on Cape Cod. Everything from looking for metric style screws -to repair a wheelchair, to a ground insert -for a wooden fence.... they even had outdoor entry rugs, and an indoor, swing gate for our dog and pieces for the pantry shelving unit! The place is Phenomenal, but would be nothing without the star quality, amazingly helpful, (non-condescending/judgmental) employees. Their website states they close at 4 pm. I arrived at 3:45 pm and they said I missed the last call at the gates. Then dont have store hours listed as 4 pm closing if you stop letting people in at your leisure. Also, locals who do work in their house have jobs as well. I went to purchase a single board and the man at the gate asked me rather gruffly what I wanted. I said a single board, and was about to state the dimensions when he asked (now more gruffly) what kind of board. I tried to tell him what I needed, but he interrupted me with, "We have a thousand kinds of boards here - now what do you want?!" (he was now apparently agitated to the point he was beginning to his voice). I told him never mind and turned to leave, then he said, "Yea never mind," looking at me like I was the stupidest person he'd ever met. This review is for the Main Street Kitchen part of the store. As I see with another reviewer, I, too, had issues with their Dura Supreme product. The quality was a problem, and it was a painful process working with Main Street. The shelves within these cabinets were terrible. I could have bought cheaper shelving from Home Depot and they would have been of a far superior quality than what I paid loads of money for with Botello's store. Thankfully my contractor cared about the quality of what he installed and made me new, quality shelving. Unfortunately the hutch had glass doors and painted shelves so that needed to come from Dura Supreme (attached a picture to show example of quality issue). 6 lots of shelving later, 2 of which were the wrong color, and I now have shelving that is ok but not great quality. Some of the cabinets arrived with a weird film on the inside and a bottom corner of the oven area was not right, and the contractor had his people fix these issues as best as they could. We had to have 3 lots of pantry doors sent as 2 lots were the wrong size. And through this all the folks at Main street were on top of nothing so it all continued to drag out. All of this started with their sitting on ordering a color sample for 2 months and when finally ordered, it was the wrong color. This meant that the color held up starting as it delayed the order. Main Street continued with sitting on things from this point to the end. We were always told solving these issues were a top priority, but they never were!! 16 months after delivery of cabinets, which does not include the lost time in finalizing the color sample, we had the last of the bits to complete the kitchen. I requested a discount given the quality issues and the burden of the kitchen completion delay, not to mention the constant follow up required to even get things moved along as they were never on top of anything. Then to be told we should be satisfied but at the same time tell us "This is not typical for the cabinet line, and I have been speaking with Dura Supreme since receiving your email." This was the response I received when I sent an email in July that listed out all the quality issues we experienced. So we should pay typical prices for what is not typical??? Back in July we were told they were working on organizing an on-site visit from the manufacturer, but unsurprisingly, many months later and still nothing. No communication, absolutely nothing. These were not cheap cabinets and we deserved better from Botello's. It is clear they don't care about customer service or the quality of the product they deliver. I am grateful my contractor cared about quality and did all that he could to fix the problems of what was delivered but it was no thanks to Botello's. I highly recommend you look elsewhere and save yourself the frustration and grief. read more

But when she checked us out she never put any of our items in a bag and just turned her back to us after payment went through. We had been polite so we were flabbergasted. After being strung along by another kitchen designer nearby - we went to Botello's Main Street. We were a bit concerned about the price - although we were not shopping the luxury range - we did want a product which was well designed and constructed. Donna G. was wonderful - knowledgeable about all the brands, experienced in the details that make semi-custom look like a custom installation, and very patient. Can't figure out why the reviews here are about Mid Cape Home Center. The listing I see is for Botello Lumber at 26 Bowdoin Rd. in Mashpee. Botello's is an excellent lumber yard, and garden supply center with decent hardware and power tools as well. They've got an extensive and well-marked selection of nuts, bolts, and screws in stainless, brass, and regular steel. Lumber prices are usually a little higher than the big box but much better quality and real service. You don't have to spend all day sifting through the 2x4s to find 4 that aren't twisted like a corkscrew. I buy all my mulch, soil and fertilizer at their garden supply yard. I buy my Benjamin Moore paint from the knowledgable staff here. For some items, like plumbing, you may do better at a specialty store or the big box. But overall this is a great all round community hardware store. You might occasionally have to wait for service on a summer weekend, but most of the time the sales staff is knowledgable. read more

I had a horrible experience with this company. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Their customer service is terrible. I had a project where I needed a lot of sheet rock to cover the basement in my condo. I had hired 2 people to do the job for me, but they couldn't carry in all the sheet rock that was required. I had gone to Home Depot and Lowe's and was told that they only delivered to the curb or charged a fee for each sheet. Discouraged, I tried Botello even though they were more expensive. The associate at the counter told me that they absolutely deliver, free of charge. I couldn't believe it so I specifically said, "I live in a condo, there is no one to receive it, and you have to bring it into the basement. Are you sure?" He told me that they would but that I would have to be there when they delivered it for insurance reasons. I told them that I, myself, would be there, but again, no one would be there to carry it in. He said no problem. However, on the day of the delivery, I got a call from Botello telling me they would be bringing it to the curb. I told them that they needed to bring it in, and he said, "Oh, we don't do that for insurance reasons." I told him what the associate said, and he told me that the associate had informed him that I would have a crew of 6 people there to bring it in. I have absolutely no idea where he got that from! Long story short, after asking to speak to the owner, ("Oh, he's not here."), I got no satisfaction and cancelled the order. This delayed the project and was a major inconvenience to me and everyone I had lined up to do the work (the people doing the sheet rocking, the electrician and plumber waiting to do the finish work). If they had told me at the beginning that they couldn't bring it in, I would have bitten the bullet, ordered from a cheaper company and paid the fee. I still can't believe that I was offered nothing in the way of a solution (reimburse me the cost of hiring people to bring it in, etc.), and I will never do business with them again. read more

Over the years, I've seen a big decline, especially in customer service and honesty/credibility. I rented some equipment from them and they charged me double and denied we spoke on the phone about the return time. Product had major issues to boot. I had my lawn mower tuned up there and it came back running rougher than before. I have called and sent letters to management and the owners and they could care less. I will never go there since there are better options in the Cape Cod area. I tell everyone I run into to avoid their dis-honest rental department. read more

ATTENTION CONSUMERS!Do NOT purchase TOR0 products from Botellos.Toro authorized dealer or not! I purchased a brand new 30" TORO TIMEMASTER lawn mower from them LATE in 2014 with a "bumper to bumper "full toro warranty. Before purchase they assured me any service needed during the three years would be done on the premise of botellos in mashpee ,20 mins from my home. after performing toro recommended break in exercises and change oil,OEM factory spec, a loud audible knock developed. i immediately returned unit to botellos for inspection.after having the mower two weeks they insisted nothing was wrong.mower was stored for winter. early spring of 2015 unit developed a loud screeching noise when run more than 30 mins on a warm day,75 degrees. i returned the mower with video recording of the problem. after 4 more weeks of them having the mover the still claimed no issues. fearfully i continued using the mower into july until temperatures climbed causing blade bearing assembly to momentarily seize!i again immediately returned mower to botellos for obvious issues with the blade bearings...after another Mutli week wait the mower was again returned to me with "no issues". after a long talk with upper management,a store manager,i finally got a call from ron service rep.he assured me if the issue "occured again" he would warranty the entire mower for a new one due to the issue.when i brought it home and immediately ran it ,it was obvious they hadn't done anything to repair the issue!2016 issue continued and unresolved with no replacement !after telling me again they couldnt possibly look at it for at least a month i have elected to travel over an hour each way to another toro dealer. a 5 min inspection from this REPUTABLE toro dealer they determined the bearing assembly was bad!.what really upsets me is toro had a RECALL for a very similar issue on the same model one year prior!i feel like my personal safety was jeopardized by Botellos IGNORANCE! this "commercial" mower was used once a week for one hour for less than 12 weeks in two years. im not sure what is worse the product or the "warranty".never buy power equipment from a lumber yard, big mistake on my part!
