My previous PCP would shove me out in 10-15 minutes due to pressure from the insurance companies to see the most patients in the least amount of time, so I am more than happy with Family Medicine of Pooler's direct care business model as it allows me to actually share my concerns with my doctor and be involved and informed in my own care. Dr. Ghaleb always informs me of all my options and allows me to make my own decisions with her guidance. They will even ask if there are any particular labs you would like her to consider when you are getting your annuals. I am a very anxious patient and she is always so considerate and patient with me. I can't speak highly enough of her and her team. The nurses are also extremely kind. I hope Family Medicine of Pooler is my family practice for many years to come.

Their system may work, just don't be sick when you call, as they are 6 weeks out to see you. The real ironic part is that their speech they give about their services is geared towards how to ensure that your credit card stays up to date for all billing. That was mentioned 4 times while talking about my wife's stroke. They may be good, just not for an emergent issue. I would not call them if you have immediate unforeseen needs.

I was able to schedule an appointment online for the following day (Saturday) which was super last minute and I knew there was a chance they wouldn't have any availability. This salon is located off of Hodgson Memorial in an older business center. Located toward the back right with lots of parking. Since I arrived later on a Saturday the lot was basically empty. It's located on the first floor and reminds me more of a townhouse set up than a business setup. The first room is the waiting room with a small desk and the business name against the back wall. I was greeted by Laveda who I later learned is the owner. At the time I had only made the appointment for a basic IV bag not knowing much about the others that could be offered. I was taken to the IV room to fill out the paperwork while she finished up with another client. The space was clean, cozy and cute. I ended up upgrading my IV bag after speaking with her more and telling her about my history and how I had been feeling. I was very surprised that she sat with me the whole time I received treatment. There was no awkward silence and we enjoyed chatting like we were good friends. Most salons I know would have just set me up and left me alone but I enjoyed the company. The service overall was great! I warned her in the beginning that I was a hard stick and my veins had a mind of their own and even though I had been drinking a lot water they may still be hard. And they didn't disappoint it took quite a few tries to get a vein which is completely normal for me and after finally getting set up I was good to go. The appointment was scheduled for a hour but it run over a little over 2h but I barely noticed since we had been chatting and sharing stories.
