Holiday decorations all around!…read more In my opinion, The Tyler Mall is trying to be a nicer mall. It has always been just okay. Nothing about average as far as malls go. It seems like they are trying to be more festive and decorate the mall. There's lots of food options in the food court. Some restaurant surrounding the Tyle Mall too. I think I have eaten at the restaurants outside of the Tyler Mall, more than the food court spots. I do like the Miguels Jr inside the mall. That isn't my favorite Miguels location though. I have come to The Tyler Mall for the AMC many times. Oh, and for the Olive Garden now that I think about it lol That Olive Garden is pretty good, and it's the go to spot for people nearby. The Tyler Mall seems to stay the same. It's always the same retailers, same food court options. It doesn't change. I know the layout like the back of my hand at this point lol I used to run around this mall to do Black Friday shopping lol That was always fun! They have a decent selection of stores. You can find a good value, just look for sales at each location. The parking is always a struggle, but what mall doesn't have parking wars? lol

When you're ready to pay you head towards the front of the store and they check you out. The cashier was very nice and asked me how my experience went and commented on my purchases. Prices are reasonable and everywhere we went, customer service was very good. The decorations are incredible, it's a fun holiday venue. Very lively and pretty.

I hope that the city residents enjoy it throughout the year. Our first time experiencing it was New Year's Eve. We'd gone to see the Festival of Lights, and had no idea about the mall being an added attraction. Many of the storefronts boast intriguing, attractive, and festive window displays. That's a great surprise to see in the 20-Teens, where that's become a lost art in many city settings. The next surprise was the lighting in the center area of the mall on the taller office buildings. It's a great complement to the light fest at the Inn. A skating rink joins the fun during the holiday season. Fountains and statuary add dimension and interest to the space. Our impressions have been that the mall is clean and safe, as well as wide & expansive. During the Festival of Lights, horse-drawn carriages are also part of the scene. A variety of restaurants provide for dining options, including Thai and Italian. Parking options may require some walking to get to where you want to go on the mall. It's worth the walk.

The clearance racks are 70% off! Found a cashmere sweater for only $20 in a gorgeous burgundy color. Didn't buy it because it was too hot for me to think about buying a sweater no matter the bargain, but I did buy a cute green beaded bracelet and a pair of long dangly earrings with clear spherical and oblong beads for a total cost of $19 . The staff were kind and helpful--one gave me the bathroom code when I needed it, and another helped me sign up for the reward program and pay for my purchases. I think I'll have to go check out the Nordstrom rack in my area sometime, because there are good deals, for shoes too!

So I would recommend stopping by during the weekday maybe for lunch before any of their event nights if they have any. They have a good little selection of food. American, Filipino, pizza, fried chicken Sandos, Mexican, gelato, smoothies/acai and it looks like a Japanese spot is coming soon. They also have a few retail shops mixed in there. The only downside of this place is that it's not very stroller friendly although there are plenty of ramps to get to the restaurants and stores it is a very tight squeeze to get into any of them with a stroller. And I can see it being a nightmare to maneuver around during busy hours. Other than that every vendor is welcoming and I do recommend if you're looking for a variety of food to choose from. The atmosphere here is far different from all the stores I've been to in the area. Although small, it's packed and wonderfully staged into small sections which makes it easier to envision items in your space; which is something most stores don't take time to do. Clothing is limited, but carefully curated and organized into sweaters, outwear, pants, and even plus sizes (which I haven't seen in other stores). COME HERE IF ... you're looking for furniture and unique Knick knacks and accessories for your home. There's a lot of it and this is the first store where I wanted to purchased everything I practically laid my eyes on. DOWNSIDE ... I laid my eyes on a table set I wanted to purchase for my soon to be first apartment, however, I decided to walk through the whole store first before coming back to purchase it. IT WAS SOLD by the time I walked back towards the front of the store. LESSON LEARNED HERE IS if you want something buy it right then and there because you quite frankly, YOU WILL NOT FORGET IT (a fitting name for the store) AND BE SAD YOU DIDN'T GET IT. There was also another girl who purchased the exact mini lamp I wanted on my way out as I was contemplating what I wanted to purchase. If you want something here just buy it because chances are it won't be there if you come back again.
