I had lunch there yesterday and dinner today. I was pleasantly surprised, the menu hasn't changed but the food/service has improved...how often has that happened lately? :) I think Argos has a good ambiance for the slightly more mature customer. I like how good staff is with elderly customers and they always try to meet their needs. Be gentle with the young waitresses, it's probably their first job and they always try their best but maybe a bit shy at first. The kitchen staff seem to have things well under control. No long waits or out of any items. In short, it's not a fancy high end restaurant rather a family diner that offers a delicious full course meal for the price of a Big Mac combo.

Well this is going to be a rocky review I got to say before I even start wow this is some really…read moregood food! But not everybody's going to recognize what Goodfood is. I got to say the service was absolutely awful two hours to get bacon and eggs. But and only but, this is why this restaurant got a four-star the food in this restaurant it is just absolutely cooked to perfection when they say you pay for what you get there right steak cooked to a T perfect scrambled eggs and everything else fresh fresh fresh but if you're walking in here expecting medicine at Hometown service you're crazy. Not gonna lie it's pricey and the menu might be very confusing. And the portions are very small but this is a typical Calgary-based restaurant the one thing you cannot take away from it is, the incredible quality that comes out of the kitchen and no grease on your plate. When I sat down I let them know right away that I would be writing about my meal experience. Now although the service was terrible at first the Manager came over and saw her waitress struggling, and that's what kept this experience to awesome, Somebody was willing to help somebody else to help fix the experience that was slowly sliding so yeah we had to pick up some things didn't work out but in the end I will try Brown's again I don't know if it will be for a beer if it'll be for food but I can tell you this much any restaurant that goes to that kind of like to ensure that you have that good of food must be worth it! I would avoid the chicken wings they are very expensive and not worth it. One of the things we noticed they do let you order off menu and kids are allowed till 10 which they don't tell you idk bout that

It's like Christmas, every dish is a surprise! We were…read moreseated inside immediately and approached rather quickly for our drink order / to ask any questions. Beyond that, nothing happened very quickly, or accurately. We ordered chips & guacamole (+$3 for guacamole, instead of salsa), received chips & salsa ($8) , tho they did bring guacamole. We ordered wild mushroom pizza & they brought bacon pizza. They no longer had dry hopped sour so they gave me a tropical fruit beer. All of the mixed drinks I tried were too sweet & a fruity beer does not fill in well for a sour lover, it wasn't that anything was bad, it just wasn't what we ordered & it took 2hrs for pizza & chips. I do love the layout & decor throughout. There are both standard tables & hightops, as well as patio seating. They just need to work out the kinks, like, giving you what you order.

Everything was ready at the time they indicated and was pleasantly surprised to find out with a loyalty card the Donair was free! I mentioned that I didn't possess the card and then one of the staff came from the cooking area to the front counter and gave me one! The pizza was very well appointed with toppings, they certainly don't skimp on what goes on top. The crust was done perfectly and was delicious. The Donair was also very good. Very happy with my order and, although it was my first visit, it will not be my last. If desired there is a small seating area in the restaurant with a cafe ambiance. A bit of a gem on Crescent Heights!
