Just a personal preference but she proceeded to tell us the hamburger was made with onions so the one guest got the chicken burger which was fine no complaints. The smokehouse burger is full of flavour and HOMEMADE,like they did in the 50 well done ! Big slice of apple pie with a apple crisp topping nice change. Only complaint is the poutine both on the same size, and cheddar cheese not curds . Disappointing when you pay extra!

Three of our party had Butter Halibut on asparagus and it was outstanding. Perfectly cooked, spiced and presented. One of our party had fish and chips and it was also excellent. Our waitress took the time to talk with us about life in Dawson Creek (we were from out of town and she was a lifelong local).

The bun is the perfect match for the beef. Firm enough to handle the beef, but not hard or dry. Takes the au jus well. The au Jus was also spot on. Not too salty, not watery, and flavorful. In short, a world-class beef dip. The fries are also top-notch.

Will definitely return when we drive in or out of Alaska again.

Nat's Hearty Breakfast is a great breakfast. The smashed potatoes are some of the best breakfast…read morepotatoes anywhere. Good value and good flavor. Beef dip is quite good. Beef is not shaved, but not tough or chewy - pure, tender beef. The au jus is more like a thin gravy, but at least it has a beefy flavor. And the nice thing is the bread actually fits in the dish so you can actually dip the 'beef dip'. (Surprising number of restaurants don't consider this) Service is a bit slow but they are accommodating.

Aye Carumba. This place is expensive. $33 for a chicken dinner? This is not Michelin 5 star dining…read more The food is average. Not terrible, but not worth the high prices. Service is fine. Not what you'd expect for the money, but fine for what you expect for the place. Decor is well-large room with tables and TVs. Nothing wrong with that, but $33 for chicken dinner? The beef dip is only OK. It is a bit small, and bread a bit dry and the Au jus watery and overly salted, but hey, I've had worse - not for $18. But I've had worse at $12. It was hard to get over the shock of seeing the menu prices. These prices would be fine at a Fairmont Hotel, with the accompanying food quality, atmosphere, and service. At a Super 8 Hotel, they seem way out of line.
