Came to Mr Mikes on Canada Day do there weren't many people here. Pretty large place and nice and clean. The server was really quick to seat us and drinks were also quick. I settled on the burger with fries chips. The burger was really good, cooked just right and fresh toppings. The roll was a little toasted outside with soft inside just like you want. The burger was juicy and tasty, I enjoyed it. The chips were hot and crispy and equally good. My wife had the tacos, she wasn't excited about the shrimp being fried but she said they were pretty good also. The wasabi sauce on the tacos was a bit much, maybe should be on the wide. The beer was a perfect addition to the meal after a long day driving. The server was very attentive and sweet. Great personality. Not a place I'll travel through again soon but if I do I'll definitely be back to Mr Mikes. read more

While passing through on a road trip, we wanted a decent meal. We found Mr Mikes and decided to give them a try. We split a Caesar salad that was good and each got a steak. I got a Traditional Filet ordered medium rare. It came out purple and had to be returned to the grill. I was told to keep my sides (mashed and veg) to eat while my steak was cooking. I didn't want to eat them without my steak so they ended up getting cold. The "bacon peppercorn sauce" is basically a brown gravy so I was glad I got it on the side. My partner got the NY Strip Traditional style. The steak was about as thin and small as you can get. And the "aged 28 1/2 days" - I don't believe it. These were basic, grocery store, sale isle, type steaks. The mashed were good and surprisingly, the veg were steamed nicely and not over cooked nor mushy. We were offered a free dessert for the trouble of not cooking my steak correctly but we passed on the offer because nothing really piqued our fancy. read more

The mikeburger is not just the best burger in town, it's the best burger in the country. I recommend the bacon mikeburger with an extra party. Beefy flavor, juicy, good size, French bread for a bun. A superb burger. Fries are also top shelf. Service was simply fantastic, even though the server said it was her first day. Much better than the standard service in town. Nice atmosphere. Mr Mike's steakhouse sounded like my kinda place, you betcha. Found the place, eh, nearly passed it because of the dark store-front. Got seated in a booth right away, ordered a stein of Antler Ale, $6.00 Canadian, you betcha. Zeroed-in on a 12-oz Ribeye steak, $32.99; waitress suggested gravy for the mashed potato, eh, $2.99 (but didn't tell me the price). So, okay, that steak was tender and juicy and sat real good with the ale, you betcha. Afterwards, I kept rollin' lickity-split for Ft Nelson, BC. Well let me start with saying that our Server Serena was really good. She was hospitable, quick with drinks, and sociable. But when our meals came out we started eating and I found a black curly hair in my seafood fettuccine. I know it wasn't mine cause I'm bald. So after the manager comes by and inspects it like he's a criminal investigator and concludes yes it's a hair he tells me don't worry we'll take care of it. In my head I'm like "well yeah you f*ckn better" he asks if I'd like something else. As it was getting late and my girlfriend was already eating I opted for a Cesar salad instead to make it quick. He comes out with this tiny side salad! Like completely pathetic! The server comes back and says we could get a dessert and it'll be comped. So my girlfriend gets a Rocky Mountain explosion or something and when we get the bill the server (Serena) says she talked with him and really really tried to get more taken care of but she said when she asked that he told her he already took care of the salad AND the meal!! (THAT I DIDNT EAT BECAUSE OF SOME CURLY BLACK HAIRS IN IT!!!!!) So thanks for taking care of the meal you served tainted!!! But also thank you for taking care of the tiny little salad you gave me to make up for serving me unsanitary food during this time of covid infection!!! The service: When we arrived we were seated promptly. This place had great waitresses working. They were polite, had good pleasent attitudes, were on the ball with orders and top ups of drinks. The waitress took great care to make sure we had everything we needed and that our experience there was nothing short of relaxed and enjoyable; it made for a truly delightful experience. It was not a long wait for our orders, 10 - 15 minutes maybe. If you were to take your kids, know that it's nice inside, but outside people smoke and its not the best atmosphere for children. The Food: The food was excellent. I had the house burger and the dish was very well put together. The fries were just the right temperature, and the burger couldn't have been better. The portions were fairly sized, it was actually more than I needed. What it comes down to: Mr.Mikes had a pleasant relaxed atmosphere and was very clean. I have only positive things to say about this restaurant. We were seated quickly and our server, Alexa, was polite, friendly, and efficient. Our beverages arrived promptly and our appetizers were great. My meal was delicious. I would have the Bacon Mr. Mike Burger again.
