I would say it's a great little cafe, rather dated looking, like the staff, it all looks a bit tired. But if you drive by there is always about 10 - 15 trucks outside. I had a "Goldpan" which is a sort of skillet type of thing, it was very good! Not greasy at all, and was made with fresh stuff, and came out really hot. The coffee is good and the staff will never stop trying to fill it up. My only complaint is that the bill came to over 17.00 with tip.. A bit expensive in my books. But I would go back.

When I followed up, Kath said her boss was "waiting for more details" and wouldn't proceed -- yet no one contacted us to ask for anything. If they didn't want to serve us, they could have simply said so instead of wasting our time and leaving us assuming everything was going smoothly. We ordered two different dishes for 15 people. Apparently, because we didn't provide a budget, they refused to move forward. We already gave all the necessary details, and they could have easily sent an estimated price range. Instead, we got silence and confusion. Very unprofessional and disappointing. As a Filipino myself, I wanted to support this business, but after this experience, I definitely cannot recommend this place.

As I was eating he stopped by to see if I needed anything else and I said I'd like for him to provide Thai chicken bits. He explained that I had ordered them to go and would be presented with that portion of my order after I finished my burger and fries. While I was still eating he stopped by again and asked if I'd be needing anything else or if I wanted my check. Having been enlightened earlier with the knowledge that under no circumstances would I get my Thai chicken bits until I finished my burger and fries, I told him yes, bring the check. He came back and stood next to me and figured out the check, then placed the wi-fi credit card reader thing on the table next to my unfinished plate of food. He stood nearly at attention (a bit creepy) and waited while I wiped the grease and ketchup off of my hands and fished my wallet out to pay this fine young waiter. BTW the food was pretty good, about what I expect from Denny's. I almost didn't leave the waiter a tip but felt a little sorry for the guy for having put him through the traumatic experience of serving me a burger and fries so I left $5. Little things like that mean a lot! Maybe I'm weird, but I love clean bathrooms and always notice when they are attended properly. The bathrooms here were awesome! I also ordered the basket of Jumbo Shrimp that are regular shrimp breaded to look jumbo. Comes with dipping sauce. Had to take off the breading as it was bland but with good crunch. The cool thing about this place is their utensils. The silverware handles have sports equipment shapes. The forks have a hockey stick handle and the knife has a golf club handle. Complete with working hay loft and fiddle contests this dive bar was crucial in my formative years as a budding alcoholic. The building was purchased in 1999, found structurally lacking, torn down and replaced with this pub which has become a community favorite ever since. The bar featured daily gastropub quality food and cocktail specials as well as Wednesday night karaoke, popular with both the sober and soused patrons. The original owners/managers retired last year leaving the pub vacant for several months. The new owners reopened without the original kitchen and wait staff and the experience wasn't quite the same. I slowly stopped going here. Flash forward to yesterday, imagine my pleasure in finding the special board featuring two of my all time Dundee favorites. Root beer paralyzers and ham and lentil soup. The paralyzers were unqualified in quality and three of them quickly evaporated on my tongue. The soup though flavorful and savory must have been simmering for a long time as all the vegetables had turned to mush. All the other specials were extravagantly priced (seafood linguine at $24) seems a bit much. I did have a pleasant chat with the young lady waiting the tables. I learned the pub features local musicians of various genres, including a recent performance by the talented duo "Twin Peaks". These two are destined for greatness, a must see if you get a chance.
