We're coming up against the most critical time and I'm glad that Signet has our back!

Sheila taught us step-by-step, class-by-class what we needed to know, gave us homework assignments, and helped us talk to our stressed out kids about the process. Applying for colleges can be a stressful time and this program helped alleviate some of that stress. Thank you Sheila!

Some years ago, after being annoyed enough, some parents indicated they moved their kids out of…read moretheir rowing program to a private program, because of a series of extremely questionable characters they (still) have involved there, that even with a minimum of investigation, the school would find quite concerning. Anger management issues, nepotism, career frustration, and various probable psychological complexes seem to only scratch the surface. There seems to be a clear 'look the other way' syndrome going on there, and am not sure to what extent it may be in other areas at the school.

When I was a student, I definitely had times in which I struggled and had no idea how I would graduate, but in the end I made it and did very well. This school prepares you so that when you enter you undergraduate institution, it really does seem like cake, because when you were at BB&N from grades 9-12, you were pushing yourself already doing a college workload and being taught by teachers who were parallel to college professors who will follow you throughout your life. As Max B. said, you will come out of your four years here more than ready for college, and then when you're done with undergrad, you'll be more than ready for graduate school or your career because of what BB&N taught you. It's just that awesome. The teachers are top notch. They recognize talent and they will also help you when you are down. I will always be indebted to this incredible institution of learning on the Charles. -Andrea D., Class of 2006

We feel so lucky that our son worked with Dr. Megan Race. She kept him, and all of us, on track…read more She was everything one would want in a college consultant and more! This was our first time in the college process and she made the whole process less stressful. It was so helpful to have an expert guide us and be the one to help direct our son (vs us nagging him!). Our son got into his first choice college (early decision) and we are looking forward to working with Spark again for our second child. Besides having great consultants, Spark fully understands the college landscape and they give you that incredible inside knowledge to help craft your child's whole process. We looked at lots of college consultant companies and know Spark and especially Megan was the best choice for our son!

I had Solomon Berman as my tutor who is the main man behind Quantum Tutoring. He was my tutor for…read morethe better part of my sophomore year, tutoring me through the later part of Chemistry 101 and 102 at Boston University. I can honestly say without him, i don't know how I would of finished taking both courses. The lecturers and the TAs didn't communicate the material nearly as clearly and in a shorter time span as he did. He is clear and patient, and wants you to truly learn the material, not just get through a test or assignment. It is clear that he knows his material. Moreover he's very flexible with tutoring time and will take as much time and sessions needed until you understand the material. Being an athlete, my free is greatly limited, but he still found time to make sessions flexible to my schedule to his greatest ability. With my experience with him, if there were more teachers as clear and knowledgable as him, then class would be more clear and interesting and easier to follow. But in real-life situations, tutors such as Solomon are there to bridge the gap and help you succeed. I know I'll be using Quantum Tutoring in the future, especially as I get ready for MCATs, not to mention exams and tests.

My child was unable to attend high school almost her entire junior and senior years. Quantum Prep did not just teach my child the course materials and test prep, they motivated my child actually go above and beyond what was required. My child's work ethic, organizational and critical thinking skills, and self-confidence significantly improved under Quantum Prep's guidance. These skills have now transferred to post-high school life and I couldn't be happier.

My daughter worked with Joan Casey throughout her college search and application process…read more Joan was extremely thorough in her assessment of my daughter and in her selection of schools. Her advice was based on in-depth knowledge of my daughter's learning style and personality. The list of colleges she presented were mostly solid targets (rather than reach) and she prepared my daughter to be realistic and in the end, very happy with her acceptances. Joan created a strategy to identify a first choice school, for an early decision application while organizing and motivating her to complete all of her regular and early action applications. Joan's observations of my daughter's strengths and weaknesses and her knowledge of the pros and cons of each school made the process seem more concrete and predictable. Joan continues to follow-up with my daughter and said that she will stay in touch with her throughout her freshman year.

We could not more highly recommend the services of College Coach, and specifically Kara Courtois…read more At every step of the process Kara's help and expert advice for each of our two kids has been invaluable (one a rising college freshman; the other is a rising high school sophomore). One thing that really struck us was just how much time Kara spent each year getting to know our kids. For each student Kara is truly dedicated to understanding the full person. Using her student-focused and caring approach Kara really got to know our kids. As a result she was able to give our kids great advice on the right classes and extracurricular activities to bring out their strengths, how to further develop areas that may be a weakness and when it came time to the application process to steer our son towards schools that would be an excellent fit for him both as a person and a student. With Kara's help our son was admitted to his top choice school and she has also significantly reduced the stress and anxiety at every step of the process for each of our kids. We have all been so fortunate to have Kara and College Coach helping us!!
