I like this liquor store. This is the location I prefer to go to if I don't feel like trekking down to DaveCo. Boss has a lot of variety and usually has what I want in stock. We get everything here from whiskey to Jaeger to mini kegs for the Beertender. (The Beertender has 3 compatible brands and Boss stocks 2 out of 3.) The wine selection is really big and they have a whole row devoted to champagnes and dessert wine. They also have a section of the fridge that is almost completely full of hard ciders. There is a lot of variety and the guys that work here have all been really nice to me. The only down side is the parking lot sucks. They share their lot with Little Caesers and it can get crowded. Sometimes it's really difficult to get in and out of there without getting hit or curb checking because someone won't move for you. (I've curb checked about 3 times in the past month...perhaps that just says more about my driving than I care to reveal...) So I try to come here when it's not lunch or dinner time for the pizza guys. read more

HORRIBLE STORE! Bought a bottle of Bacardi and it was tainted. Returned the bottle and they gave me another one and it was the same! They stated they sold 2 cases last week and no one brought any back. The bottle was sealed so maybe something else is going on??????? They are not refunding me the money either. So now I go to Total Beverage with no issues, plus they are much cheaper. I also had 3 other people try it with the same results. Why is Total Beverage ok and Bosses is not????? Makes you wonder! Used to come here for years until last week. I go in and get some little bottles for the game it says 3 for 5 and that's awesome! Well almost I got 3 that morning and it was 5 and some change. We go back later that night and get 3 more and the KID with the glasses charges me 7 bucks? I ask the price from the rack is different and he got rude so I left. Came back the next day just to see and that morning the price is right. Come back that night same anus with glasses and I ask him why it's different with him and he just shrugged and his manager or as they stated it a "sorta manger" just watched and told me to bring in my receipts for the last transaction. Absolutely horrible experience. Ordered through the online system. Received a voicemail saying that they didn't have any of the items we ordered, and that those they did had they would not honor the prices as marked on their online ordering system. Called them back to find out what was going on and was hung up on twice -- I was not being rude (no cussing, yelling, raised voices, or demands), I was simply asking how this could happen and if it should really be the customer who suffers simply because they don't maintain their own system. Now they have actually left the phone off the hook so we can not call back to be hung up on a third time. Worst customer service experience ever. We have been long time customers of this business, but no more, we will not be giving this place any more money. Love this liquor store. Ravi the store owner is very friendly and will do whatever it takes to make his customers happy. They have a great selection of everything from beer - wine - whisky. Yes people you may pay slightly more (we're talking cents) than you will at massive liquor stores but Ravi is very reasonable on specialty items and I haven't seen better prices on those items. This is the first time I've ever done a review on a liquor store. I've been shopping at liquor stores for, sheesh longer than I would like to admit, three decades. So why, now, do I feel inclined to do a review on a liquor store? I moved into the area 16 months ago and I've been at this liquor store several times as it is the closest one to my home. There's one particular guy that is always there, I'm guessing he is a manager or owner. Sometimes there is also a friendly person there also but this one particular guy is always there. He is a jerk. He is always consistently a jerk. The last time I was there, I swore I would never step foot in there again. I will drive a little bit further and go to Booze Barn where they are always friendly and act like they appreciate my business. At the time of this most recent visit, there was a line of customers, as usual. I know better than to go up to the counter before being summoned because he does not like that. I wait until he actually screams "next" without making eye contact and I proceed to the counter. I set my bottle of wine down with the UPC code facing him, at a decent distance to the register, not too close and not too far because I've learned not to set him off. He immediately picks up my bottle of wine and with great fanfare and obvious annoyance he set it far away from him and then he scans it and then he moves it closer. I'm standing there holding my $20 bill in plain sight and for the first time ever he asked me cash or credit. I don't think it's a coincidence that the one time my form of payment is obvious is the one time he chooses to ask, he's just that big of a jerk. I tell him cash but can I give you my information for the rewards club. Yes, they have a rewards club which he has never mentioned to me after living in the neighborhood for a year then finally one of the other people told me about it. So I gave him the information for the rewards club and I set my $20 bill on the counter at a decent distance between him and me. He immediately picks it up and with great fanfare and obvious annoyance he set it further away from himself and then he picks it up. He never greeted me, smiled at me or thanked me for my purchase , he makes the entire transaction uncomfortable, he is a complete and total jerk. From now on it doesn't matter what time of day or night it is, I'm going to drive a little bit further and go to Booze Barn where they not only appreciate my business but they aren't jerks. I don't expect - or want - to be coddled but I do expect a decent human interaction and I do like to know that my business is appreciated. I went here to buy some bottles of Green's gluten-free beers because this is one of the few places that stocks all three varieties. I got the Dubbel Dark and the Triple Blonde. They both had almost no flavor and tasted of pure alcohol. Then, I looked at the expiration date on the back of the bottles. They had expired over 2 years ago. I had already thrown out my receipt, and I live nowhere near that store, so trying to get a refund would have been more trouble than it was worth. I went to a different store and bought some that doesn't expire for 4 more years, and it's marvelous! read more

I've been to the several times, they do have a large variety of speciality beers and micros to choose from. Many kinds you don't find except in warehouse stores, however they do tend to be a bit more in price than other stores... But that could be to cover dist costs of having the unique brands read more

Worst liquor store. Very rude cashier. She was unprofessional, short with help, seemed pissed off, and looked and treated me with that racist, sort of what the heck you doing in my store. Felt very uncomfortable and not welcome. Noticed there was another review with a similar experience. This owner and staff has a right to their own political, racist and other beliefs. Though, maybe they should not be so blatantly obvious and should keep it at home and not in the place of business/public service/sector. It could be a detriment to their business in the near future. I will be sure to let Asian family/friends and co-workers not to spend their money at this local place of business. I will, maybe go visit in another month and see if the "vibe" is any different. I live nearby and only go here for convenience. There is one type of cider here that is difficult to find elsewhere so I usually go to get it. Almost ALL of their European imports are past their "Best By" for more than 1 year. I went to buy La Fin Du Monde (one of my favorite Canadian Belgian beers) and the "Best By" date was May of 2008. I understand that some beers will get more complex with time, but all of their German imports were 1-3 years past their "Best By" date. While it is not illegal to sell things past the "Best By" date, (only illegal to sell perishables past their expiration date) it is unacceptable for a liquor store to keep stock that is this far past their date. You can usually pick out old beers by the dust that settles on the bottles in this cooler. They have a nice selection of wine and hard liquor, but that's not my bag. I just want some good German beer.(or any other kind of import). Unfortunately the other liquor stores around leave something to be desired, (small selection, high prices) so I usually have to go to DaveCO who apparently is under investigation for some seedy financial decisions, and it is almost a 25 minute one-way trip. Looks like I'll have to go to DaveCO or just drink Bud or Coors. read more

I only go here in a dire emergency. Their customer service and concern for their customers is non existent. Their prices are non-competitive. The manager/owner does not have a clue who customers are, lines are long, customer service is short, and --well basically-- not worth the trip. Better to visit a different local liquor store and pay the same or less with much better service and equal or better selection. I was on my way home and decided to stop by here to grab a bottle of liquor because I had a long day and although I do t drink much a close friend had died early that day. I want to get home and have a drink at home to relax. When I got there theirs a sign at the door "Military discount... or veterans discount" I said oh their military friendly awesome. I walk in grab a bottle and proceed to check out... The guy tells me the total and I said hey you do military discount he said "yes!" I said great and showed him my ID now mind you I just got out from an 8 years service in the Army I gained some weight and I am enjoying life. The guy asked the other guy next to him for a discount code or something of that sort the guy looks me up and down and said "No" I was stunned like ah ok? The other guy tells me sorry ma'am a lot of people take advantage and we can't give it anymore... wow ummm I understand completely but I have my ID He said sorry. I said its ok I don't need it but you have a sign when you walk in. I paid for the bottle and left. First off I am not poor, I can afford to pay. I work really hard for my money and I assure you I don't make anything close to minimum wage. Second of all take your sign off if your not going to honor your word. You have lost my business and I hope others read and you lose theirs. Your prices are over priced and your employees are rude racist and judgmental. I didn't want anything for free I don't need a discount but what I most of all didn't need was your employees embarrassing me. I had one of the shittiest of days and your employees could have had better customer service. Please take down your sign I hope no other veteran gets humiliated again. This is in my neighborhood and they generally have a good selection of everything. What I really like is that they have unique items, especially around the holidays so that is really great! I think they are under new ownership because the staff is much friendlier...there was a guy that used to work there that was so grumpy and although he always asked if you wanted help, he had a poor attitude. I said I would never return again....well it is a liquor store, how many knew I would be lying to myself.???? So I have been back what another 75 times since, and while the place is nice it still does not rub me the right way. THE ONLY REASON I ,GO HERE IS MERE CONVIENENCE and really that is it. The guy who I thought was the owner was the sons dad, the younger fellow actually is the owner, and he is really nice but he does not have time to run his business as it should be. Let me say this on a side track, almost at any point when you walk in, the lights are mostly out, the older guy never turns on all the lights which is cool by me for saving energy, but really................? I called to get a keg reserved and was told to call a week before my event (for 100 guests) to reserve it. I did as instructed and was told I was "good to go" that my keg would be ready the day of my event. They called, with less than 24 hours notice, and said my beer of choice was backordered! There was no "hey, really sorry about this" more like " nothing we can do about it". Needless to say I had to scramble to find a replacement beverage for our party!!! The owner of this store is extremely rude and condescending. He had a great selection when he first opened the store ... but when I have gone back to purchase wine it never seems to be there. I had to go elsewhere and found the same product but at a cheaper price than this store. Has a pretty good selection of seasonal and year round craft brews. Most of the locals are fairly well represented. They also have a rotating selection of bombers and special brews available. I just wish they had a pick-6 so I could create my own 6 pack based on what they have available. I tspend a lot of time trying new beers out so it helps that I don't have drive up to Daveco or over to Total Beverage. read more
