I was extremely nervous on the first day I went but after speaking with Kelly-ann I knew right away that I was in good hands. She was very sympathetic but immediately started with a plan to fix my issues! I scheduled an FUT transplant procedure with her and waited anxiously for the day to come. The day of the procedure she was just as pleasant as always despite it being at 7am! She was there as the doctor planned out the hairline etc. and made sure I was comfortable before proceeding. I can't speak much about the procedure itself because I was knocked out the entire time! Afterwards I was sent home with clear instructions on how to maintain things and had a follow up the very next day to ensure everything was going well. This is when Steph got involved, she got all my questions answered and helped wash my head for the first time. Nothing like having a *gorgeous* nurse scrub all the scabs off then the waiting game began. I'm just past month 4 and I already am extremely happy with the results! I started PRP as well and STRONGLY recommend doing this as soon as possible after the transplant (exactly as Kelly-Ann and Steph recommend) due to your head staying numb for a few months. I cannot express enough how thankful I am for them helping me through this tough time in my life. I no longer have to hide my receding hairline and will probably never wear a hat again! Question: What bad things can I say about this place?…read moreAnswer: NOTHING AT ALL! This place is nothing short of PERFECTION!!! Just a bit of backstory... I'm not new to dealing with hair restoration businesses, and my 1st one was actually back in my hometown. At the time, I didn't know much about what other services were out there, and so I jumped on one with very little research. Yes, they gave me the results I wanted, but the stylists weren't really up-to-date with current trends as 99% of their clients were older males (I'm 39 myself). I had to move to the the NoVa region and so they had to transfer my membership to a business in Baltimore, MD that they had a partnership with. Now, aside from the 2 hrs+ transit I had to make just to get my hair done, the company in Baltimore provided ATROCIOUS service... I'm VERY shocked they've managed to stay in business. So, then I decided to do a little bit of research, and that's where I found out about Hair Club (Tyson's/McLean). Initially, I was only interested because it was 10 mins from my apartment at the time, but let me tell you, that "interest" became an INSTANT sell as this place was EVERYTHING, AND THEN SOME! The office was so spacious and clean, and very young and modern! 1st, my consultation with Elizabeth... talk about a woman with knowledge and style! She did everything she could to make sure she could provide me with the most affordable price all while getting the BEST is service. She was INCREDIBLE professional and friendly. Next, was my test session with Alem, their lead stylist, I believe. Now, THIS is a girl that is a prodigy to her trade. She is very personable, and will give you the exact style you're looking for! Plus, for you types who loves their fades, I don't think ANYONE can outdo her in THAT department. After your few test sessions with Alem, you're essentially passed around to other stylists to see how well their services meet your needs to become your proimary stylist, and so far, ALL of the stylists that I've dealt with are DEFINITELY experts and have SO MUCH TALENT. I wouldn't say any of them have any weaknesses, but they DEFINITELY have their strengths. I tend to have Heavenly as my primary, and as I've jokingly told her, her slogan should be "Holla at yo gurl for a Heavenly experience!" She knows how to read the "imperfections" in the style and knows exactly what to do to fix it. Plus, if you're into funky hair colors, SHE is the GO-TO stylist! Maggie is another one of the fantastic stylist that I've had the pleasure working with. I had already had my hair system in place by a previous stylist (I don't recall who at this point), but I know that I wanted my hair shorter and styled a bit differently than my initial install (with that particular system) and she gave me EXACTLY the length and style I was looking for. I know that doesn't sound like much, but let's be serious, how many times have we told a barber/stylist "a little off the top" and that "little bit" ends up being 4 inches!! Lastly, on another day that I had a fresh install, the stylists were getting a bit backed up, and so Kalena had to finish my hairstyle. I honestly didn't know what I wanted, bit I know I wanted something stylish for a Christmas party I was attending that evening, and oh my... I WAS IMPRESSED at the results. You know that big smiling feeling when you've just got the best style ever? No? Well, you WILL when you have her as your stylist. Last, bit certainly not least, is Berny, that office's Client Relationship Manager. I have endless amazing things to say about Berny. I know customer satisfaction is SUPPOSED to be the name of the game, but I GENUINELY believe that Berny cares about her clients and will do everything in her power to meet and honestly EXCEED your expectation in customer satisfaction. She is just such a wonderful, personable person. So, I'm not sure if it's obvious, but I am COMPLETELY IMPRESSED with Hair Club Tyson's. Gratuity: Hairstylist asked how much gratuity I will pay, I said not yet decided and she said one more time I need the Gratuity and she is little rude, then I said I am promising to pay the Gratuity and then she started the work. Service is bad first and she is very rude, miss behaved, doesn't listen at all, late, didn't did the job and finally demanding the Gratuity. Even though she did so much of bad, as I promised I paid the Gratuity. 4. Hair Style Design: I told her on my first visit, Darleen did a good job and I need the same hair style so I requested to take a look before she starts and also requested her to see the pictures which I have on my phone, but Hair Stylist denied to look and she said she know. At the end I told few times during the haircut, but she didn't listened and did whatever she want. 5. Hair and Skull clean: after she removed the hair peace, I said please can you do cleaning and do a little massage which was done earlier by Darleen, she refused and she said it is not clean and I should clean myself(she reported 15 + times the same). But in actual scenario I told her I clean regularly as instructed by other hair stylist she doesn't listen. 6. Gum: I told her last time you did the same thing and it is arranged properly and every two days I need to adjust so I requested and shown to her to do the right way and keep enough gum so it won't move, she doesn't listen and did what ever she need 7. Timing: she was rushing to complete, I said what is the hurry Hairstylist said she had another appointment and she is complaining management is very bad here they were scheduling with out break and then I said you are late she is very rude and said you are done. 8. Family Member: when she say to go out, I said iam not satisfied I need to show to my wife who is waiting out side and if any changes she will tell if not I will suffer for long. She denied family member can't come inside so I showed outside and my wife suggested it doesn't look nice. She denied and left the room. 9. Escalated to Management: didn't see any good response, and they don't care looks like. Conclusion: Once you signed the contract, your life is miserable, they don't respect first and they do whatever they need. Management don't worry to talk, they always trying to find the new customers throughout their life as once a customer join after the contract they won't show up or no repeated customers, even though they are in business for many years, this center struggling to find the new customers.
