Once you do, 50% of the time (which is a lot), they are abusive and will gaslight you. Apparently they are trained in how to get you angry. Customer service at Clinique counter Spent $81.04 for products and given a Clinique award (cosmetic bag with sample products) When got home and opened the cosmetic bag the interior plastic bag containing the samples was torn open and one of the samples was missing ! I love their items but not their online ordering. I talked to two different agents to get an order ro go through. Was online for a total time of 2 hours, maybe a bit more. I was trying to pay with my Boscov's card. Finally gave up and did PayPal. Got an email from them saying they'd got the transaction. Guess what?? Boscov's says they never got the order. Tried to get store pick up, and they couldn't get that through either. I'm a handicapped senior cit and prefer ordering online for delivery. Guess I'll get a ride to the store. I am surprised by the low score on Yelp for Bosvov's. I live in Seattle and have placed online orders from Boscov's. I order things that I can't find locally and always at an excellent price. Place an online order and received the wrong item. Web site and phone system are not setup to deal with online orders, they assume all orders go through a store. Why do they have an online ordering system without proper infrastructure to support it? I finally talk to someone in customer service. They are more concerned with getting the wrong item back than getting me the item I ordered. The priority should be getting me my item. Serious quality control problems. I could tell by the shipping box size there was most likely an issue. Sure enough I ordered a large Christmas display and they sent me a set of low end cooking pots. The packing slip was correct with my ordered item listed but they put the wrong product in the box. Who is double checking this stuff before shipping? Where is the automation? I gave it a one because I can't pick zero. We questioned pricing on two items in the men's department and the older employee, probably the manager, talked to us like we were stupid. The clothes were under a sign that was placed incorrectly that showed a cheaper price and he asked us how we thought he should put the signage. was charged $9.00 for paying my bill one day before it was due over the phone. They charge for paying over the phone. I was away for a family emergency for a month but it was still on time. I then got a bill for 19.00 including a late fee - I called - they took off the late fee but not the 9.00. I was not told i would get another bill for the 9.00. Spoke to someone on the phone after waiting 61 minutes on hold and was asked to just wait a few more days because they are waiting for it to arrive from the vendor. Wait, the website said it was in stock? I'm all about being patient and accommodating with businesses during Covid but this is not that. Cancelling that order, but even that isn't simple. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I registered for luggage through Boscov's for my bridal registry. The piece of luggage we choose was one of our most wanted items. A dear family friend bought the luggage and had it shipped to my mom's address since the purchaser was unable to attend my shower. The luggage arrived with a broken zipper and missing accessory piece. My mother called Boscov's asking for a simple exchange and was told they were not able to do the exchange because the individual store that shipped it to us no longer had the item. However, other Boscov's stores did have the item but they refused to honor the exchange. I took the issue to upper management and they also refused to help. I am talking about a single $130 item, not terribly expensive! They could not see fit to make this process easy for anyone involved. They insisted on going back to the original purchaser even though requested not to because we did not want to bother them and have them feel bad about sending a broken item. So Boscov's decided to do exactly that. Our friend was so distraught that she sent a "bad gift". So even though their return and exchange policy of 90 days might seem like a good one, it was anything but that. I will never use this store in the future and I highly advise that future brides stay away as well!!! read more

Called customer service and they basically said that this is normal practices and I should expect my money back in 3-5 days. WTH? In my original review, I explained that Boscov's shipped me light colored pumps that were not wrapped in anything and were in a green box, so they arrived badly scuffed. I called to report the problem, and they had me order a new pair at the same cost and sent me a label to ship back the damaged shoes. The new shoes were in fine condition -- and were wrapped in paper to protect them -- and my account has now been credited. It still was not a great experience since it was a bit of a pain and I had to wear the scuffed shoes to the event I bought them for. But at least they did what they could to fix the problem. I called and she couldn't figure it out either. I went for another pair that I saw had the swags included. I got the tiers but no swags which was not how it was originally written. We went to the Boscov's in PA while we were visiting my daughter at college. Knowing we would likely visit again, I signed up for their credit card. The first bill due date was set for the 10th of the month. We mailed it on the third, which should have given it plenty of time, and at the very least the postmark would have shown we were on time. They said they didn't receive it until the 14th, and charged $28 on a zero balance, plus a $2+ "service fee"!! Their customer service phone number only allows for cancelling the card, no live response, no explanations possible. So, lesson here: DON'T get their credit card. read more

Avoid Boscov's for mattress purchases. They do not allow returns, only exchanges. There are plenty of retailers like Raymore and Flanigan or Mattress Firm that have the same, or better selection, offer the same experience with free delivery, free disposal, comfort guarantee, and allow returns. Boscov's credit is inferior to other major retailers. They offer 36-month financing but base your payments on 5% of your outstanding balance, not your balance paid equally over 36 months. The bad experience is made worse by poor or no response from management and customer service. read more

I just noticed a big drop in my credit rating. After investigating i found it was caused by the fact that my Dec 2020 and Jan 2021 Boscov bills did not come until after Feb 2, 2021. This caused 2 payments to be late on my Boscovs account. As soon as I found out I called Comenity Bank and straightened it out so I thought. They would only waive 1 of the late fees and never mentioned reporting a late payment to the credit bureau. I called back today 2/26/2021 once I saw my credit report. The customer service person admitted that the situation had been previously handled incorrectly and went to ask his supervisor. His supervisor said for me to dispute the 1 late payment even though it wasn't handled correctly on their end. I am sure I'm not the only one who didn't get their bill timely due to the Covid pandemic and its effect on the mail delivery. I have never paid a payment on any account late and it appears this will stay on my record for 7 years. I closed my account today but I would like this blemish removed from my credit rating. Boscov's allowed me to shop mask free all of 2020 with a medical condition. 3 weeks ago I attempted to shop as always and was verbally attacked loudly by a woman who asked what my condition was and if I had proof (both against the law), threatening to call security and have me thrown out. I asked for a manager and he came and told me I have to leave too very loudly and rudely. He also told me I would have to try on shoes at home! Really? This manager had on a mask two sizes two small. They both could have been nice and quiet about it, but choose to make an example of me. I filed a report with the ADA. I will never spend another dime on this company again.
