Unavailable or sold out. BTW Single masks with a plethora of designs are over $10 and multiple masks in a pack are around $20. The lines are long, patrons keeping their distance. I bought a sectional in December 2021 did not get it until September 3rd 2022 almost a year Melissa who is the VP 610-370-3940 to the owner stated I would get a 1,000 credit for almost a year now gave 600.00 she claims I did not understand her cause im spanish I understood just fine im handicap and spanish they are RACIST! I also recorded our conversation she just des not care they held me off I never yeld or screamed or cursed at them. they never called me to keep in touch and when they did they were quick and actually raised their voice to me. dont buy from them I reported them to every agency BBB attorney general and ABC 7 on your side they have all been in touch with me just waiting now thinking about a lawyer there service was horrible they billed me immediately on my credit card for. sectional I never got for almost a year. I used to love shopping in Boscov's until today. I did go in to buy a new shirt, I was unsuccessful so I decided to walk through Monmouth Mall to visit a couple other stores to shop at. As I stepped foot out of Boscov's A very young kid turned around in front of me flashing what he called a security badge , it looked like a credit card to me. Anyway, he's like can I see the shirts you have in your bag? I gave him an angry look & told him I DONT have any shirts & proceeded to show him the bag I was carrying. To his surprise my bag was completely empty. I told him he ought to be ashamed & he apologized repeatedly. I work hard for my $$ & Im not a thief by all means. Came here on the highest recommendation of a friend. Visited the men's clothing area and wandered about for more than 30 min without anyone coming by or offering assistance. Both cash registers in the area were unattended. I found a suit jacket I liked and was ready to spend hundreds more dollars on shirts and accessories. I took my suit to a more distant register that actually had a human behind it. After waiting for three people before me, she informed me that I have a suit and needed to pay for it in the men's area "because they receive commissions and [she does not]." I told her I had been there for an extended period of time and there is no one there. She assured me there would be and made a call to the area to make certain. Back I went and wandered about unattended again. I continued in to the next distant register manned by a human. Again I waited for several customers before he reminded me I need to pay for it in the abandoned area from which I came. At that moment, as my temper began to flare and I began considering throwing the product to the ground and leaving, another associate came to the man's station where he asked her if she'd help me. She too informed me I can't pay for a suit at this register. I finally broke and informed her of my wasted afternoon trying to find assistance - in a retail store - where her only job - is to give assistance! With a finger wagging in my face she barks that she and the older gentleman are the only two employees for the area and "We're busy!!" I purchased the suit, she smiled and cosmetically wished me a good afternoon. This was my first AND LAST visit to Boscovs. I just dropped 300+ dollars at Frank's Big and Tall in East Brunswick. I have been coming to this store for just under 10 years and it is my secret bargain paradise. When I was younger, I used to take advantage of the layaway very often, but still continue to shop there and just decorated our new home with tons of things at incredible prices. I don't think the store compares to Macy's whatsoever because their prices are significantly different for the exact same quality, so I will always choose boscovs. read more

I love, love, love Boscovs. I recently purchased a Coach pair of glasses. Not long after I had them, I lost them. I have an old pair of glasses which I keep. After about a month, I went back to Boscovs and purchased the same glasses, but in a different color. They had the same special which goes by your age and what discount you get. 50 years old, 50% off. Up to 70 years old and you get 70% off. If you are 100 years off, free. I shop there a lot and can find everything there. It is the best department store. I wish they could put one in the Freehold Mall. read more

Summary: crappy order fulfillment, stay away! I ordered 2 items (10 piece knife set and a 7" Japanese carving knige) that were $5 each because shipping was a flat fee $9.95. Note that it didn't make sense to order 1 item because the shipping outweighed the discount for 1 item (but not for 2 items). The order was placed online and received an email confirmation as " successful", but 2 days later I received an email that the knife set (my main reason for buying) was out of stock but that the single 7" knife would still ship. It got there on day 3 (quick shipping), but at a cost of $5 plus $10 shipping was hardly a bargain. They should have let me cancel the entire order when one item was not in stock (after they first took my money for it -- don't computer systems tie in to inventory at most stores now??). So I went here at Boscovs today to purchase a dress. Which costed $90. When I went to pay there was a slim African american woman with long curly blond hair hanging up apparel. (I really wish I got her name) She was ignoring us and avoiding eye contact. My husband and I figured she was busy or didn't ring up customers. He very politely asked if we were supposed to pay there or another register. She looks back at us and shouts, " If you want me to check you out, put your purchase on the counter and I don't know why the hell your just standing there.. I got ten other things to do." My husbands says very calmy, ok ok I just thought you were busy, no problem". I was appauled by her attitude. I said, "wow, what the hell?" She proceeded to ring us up no further words exchanged, no apology, no nothing! My husband said "thank you!" She says, "yeah thanks." I was so mad because we were extremely nice to her and she flipped out on us. I work in retail so I try to respect everybody. This woman seriously deserves to be fired. Unfortunetly nobody was around to witness her poor additude. As a matter of fact, I will probably return the dress. It bothered me that much. I will never shop here again. read more

I go to the Boscov's in Monmouth Mall, looking for dress shirts, french cuff, to be specific, I've shopped there before, and I know they have a decent department. I ask a gentlemean working in the Men's dept-not a kid, mind you, where the french cuff shirts are, and, after explaining what a french cuff is, he still hasn't a clue what I'm talking about. Even if there were a selection, which I doubt, I would not know it. As much as I despise buying my clothes on line, I have no other choice. While I've been told about this place for years, and have overheard many talking about the bargains they have, I've never actually been here. Today, that has all changed. Took a trip to Monmouth mall today and stopped in to check it out. Sort of like a cross between Macy's and Kohls, the bargains I've heard of were no where to be found. Sure, there was some discounted stuff around, but you can bet your last dollar that it was all stuff that no one in their right minds would ever want!! You know, like that pair of turquoise boots with forest green stripes!!! Taking a look around, I saw more overpriced merchandise than I saw bargains!! Four foot tall Christmas trees for $350 !!!!! OMG, Boscov's in Monmouth Mall is great!! Cat sat on my glasses, woke up to completely snapped pair. Called a bunch of "same day" glasses places, no one could help me. Guy at Boscov's, Arthur Pearlman, understood my predicament (have to go to work today, can't see AT ALL without glasses) even though they don't offer same day, took my existing lenses and fit them into a beautiful frame. He picked an affordable frame that fit my face. Look beautiful on me, and one I'd have picked out myself. NO ONE ELSE WOULD DO THAT FOR ME. Every place I called refused to use my existing lenses even though this was critical. Thank you so much to Boscov's for that, and hard working Mr. Pearlman!! read more

Super relaxed and friendly customer service. Bought a nice, firm $1000 king size mattress and box springs set. Mattress delivery, setup, and removal of the old stuff was friendly and awesome. They actually wrapped my old mattress and box springs up and carefully taped the bags shut before loading them onto their truck. Then they took a picture to prove they set everything up. Two awesome business practices. The only fault is the 15% off store credit card really means "15% off with a $100 cap." Stay honest and I'll keep coming back. read more

I wanted to take a few minutes today to give a review for Maria Tenreiro. I had an issue with a Sauder product that I purchased. It seems to have warped within the few month of purchase, I contacted Sauder and all they could do was send me replacement parts for my piece, However, the whole desk warped and unfortunately the replacement pieces didnt help me. I contacted Boscovs and they stated their return policy for furniture is 30 days and outside of that I would have to contact the manufacturer, Boscovs offered me a new desk, but I would have to bring this one back and put the new one together, and I had no way to do that without added cost. So, I contacted Boscovs Corporate office for additional assistance.and was lucky enough to speak with Nicole, who was limited as to how she could help me further, but extremely polite. She stated her supervisor, Maria Tenreiro, would call me back after reviewing my situation, As promised, Maria not only called me back. but offered me a 20% discount towards another piece and emailed me immediately following my emails to her, to answer a few questions I had, regarding what eligibility requirements were attached to the offer. Eric and Tim, the store associates were so awesome and patient when helping me decide my purchase, But I cant thank Maria enough for her outstanding customer focus. I have been a Boscovs customer since I can remember, I had all intentions of closing my account due to the pending inconvenience I would have had to endure making this return, but Boscovs should feel so fortunate to have a CSR working for their company, like Maria, She not only save a customer, Boscovs gained more customers because I am going to share this positive experience with everyone I know, Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I ended up spending almost $1000.00 yesterday and will be back to buy more by end of the summer, Laura Justice read more

This place sucks and doesn't deserve one star but that's the minimum I could give. I spend $120 dollars and the clerk won't give me a large bag claiming he doesn't have any (there's at least 100 large bags behind the counter in plain view) and when I call him out on it he says no. First off don't lie to me and second off when I spend over $100 I want a big bag. When I asked for a manager there was no manager on duty. Doubt it. When I go to customer service, same thing. LONG line and no manager on duty. WTF?? What a shock. With brick and mortar stores failing like there's no tomorrow, maybe Boscovs better get their shit together, hire some competent people, and realize without customers they're done. Their hours suck too- they don't open till 10 Am, and 11AM on Sundays. I hope they are the next victim of Amazon and fail next. They deserve it. And stop being so f'ing cheap with bags. read more

Bought a recliner from here 2 years ago, the sign said "Leather". However, I was extremely skeptical because it felt like vinyl. I asked the sales person multiple times if it was vinyl because it felt cheap, but he said that it was because it was a softer grade of leather. Fast forward 2 years later and the so called leather has started to peel, it's obviously vinyl, and there are pieces of the outer shell peeling off everywhere. Never shopping there again. read more

Brought 2 of their most expensive recliners, billed as Lazy Boy's best with the highest rated leather. Had the chairs for 3 months when we discovered the leather wearing away on the seat and the arm of one chair, while the other was fine. We hardly used the chairs as we were away for part of this time. Called customer service. No help. Said it was wear and tear --after 3 months? This is rediculous. They should replace the chair. I have had leather couches and chairs before and they lasted many years, not months. We will tear up our credit card and never by another product from Boscovs. read more

Boscov's is my mom's favorite store. She is almost 90 years old. It is a real treat for her to visit this store when she visits me. It is the highlight of her day. So, if all this is true, why am I giving 1 silly star. How can a store have a broken escalator for months??? It is unheard of...true , there is a single elevator in the corner of the store, but when you are with a senior, it is difficult to get from point A to point B. We know the entrance to enter the store for women's clothes and get right on the escalator to go straight to the next stop. It was truly disappointing that my mom and others, have to be incovenienced in a major department store for months...yes months. I brought her here 3 times, each time hoping for the repair to be made...but it wasn't. So sad that the mentality of corporate is such that this still is going on. On top of that, the temperature in the store is sometimes so hot due to weather changes outdooors, that we cannot stay at all. The staff at Boscov's feels the heat too....believe me, sometimes it shows. I hope someone important reads this...and helps make these important changes. read more

I bought a LazyBoy recliner 2 months ago. At home, I noticed the foot rest only goes down with a "bang" and does not go down gradually as it does going up. This did not occur in the store when I tried it out. When it was deliverered, The delivery men were unpleasant and verbally abusive to my elderly mother when they got lost. Thus, when I was unsatisfied with the chair at delivery time, I was afraid to complain because I did not want to get harassed or verbally assaulted. I went to the store, tried the floor sample again, no banging occurred, and received the number for the service department. The service department came out to investigate and said there was nothing wrong and no harm will come from it. I wanted to return it and they would not accept it. The customer service representative told me "you must not have heard the sounds in the store, then." I am not confident that this footrest will operate for any length of time and am dissatisfied with the service all around. read more

---I don't understand why Boscovs at the mall had plenty of great merchandise- but only a precious few shopping carts. Do you want us to spend money in your store or not? I and so many other people are walking around with our arms full but no place to put the items and shop some more. ---In addition I brought my item to their free gift wrapping dept. after a half hour I left with an unwrapped gift ... even though there was only 3 people in front of me. Boscovs policy has a 7 package max, yes 7!! Couple that with the fact that there was only 2 very very slow moving people working the counter and the line behind me was growing to 10 people. That didn't seem to matter. The poorest customer service experience I've had in along time. Sorry Boscovs, I love your merchandise but you have to spend a little bit more money on carts and customer service in order to make more money! After buying furniture and told the item was in stock. Arrive the next day with a truck to pick it up. After waiting about an hour and talking to several unhelpful employees I was told the item was not in stock and it would take a week to order. Never checked any other local store for a solution only offered a refund. Not a very positive buying experience. My advice is to stay away from anything that needs to be ordered or picked up! I will be spending my money elsewhere. This store in Eatontown will not last if they don't change there ways or attitude toward customers. read more

I prefer other clothing stores ie JCPennys or Kohls, but my mother is a HUGH fan of Boscovs'. I recently when with her there and seen some really great deals (for a single mother of two children) I was able to take my girls in there an purchase a lot a little girl dresses and outfits for a lot cheaper then the above stores.
