He really does the best for his customers as does his assistant Lisa Silva. HIs dried apricots are miles ahead of the poor quality imported "Mediterranean apricots" from Turkey which are tasteless and colorless. The quality is well worth the price at Andy's. Stop and try the almond brittle. It beats peanut brittle hands down.

They only do tastings during the summer months, so it is a bummer we can't go ahead until next year but we are totally already looking forward to it! Each ticket was $25 for adults, or anyone over 11 years old. Children under 11 are free and there are discounted prices for seniors. I want to take bet that we probably tried over 50types of peaches, nectarines, plums and other fruit varieties. And even though you are only to take 1-2 pieces of each variety, my plate was full at the end of each section. Who would've thought there are like 20+ different kinds of peaches in the Silicon Valley? Some of my favorites were the Snow Beauty peaches, the Italian Ice peaches, as well as the green gage plums. But many were delicious and after awhile, they start to taste the same but they were still flavorful. The kids enjoyed fruit picking on the tour of the orchard and were able to pick some and taste along the way. You can purchase by the pound the fruit you pick or you can get some at the store. They also sell chocolate covered treats and desserts in the shop. Overall, still highly recommend trying this out. You can also just visit them and purchase fruit by the pound. I like that they have a"cheaper" section for "ugly" fruits and I was able to snag a couple of bags of delicious peaches there.

We were saying we'd like to come back again with the rest of our family since the kids enjoyed it! We were told the golf cart will do their rounds to drop and pick people up. However, since the cart wasn't there yet & we needed to use the restroom close by, we decided to just walk to the restroom. And we can see the front from there so we decided we would just walk back after. A car was coming so I told my daughter to move in so the car can pass. *HONK HONK* as if we were running. She rolls down the window and starts giving us a huge attitude about how we are not suppose to be walking around "Stay right there!" She was so completely rude I knew it had to be none other than the owner because everyone else we encountered were so kind! Literally a family with small children just walking didn't need to be honked at. We were already stopped when she approached so she could have just rolled her window down and spoke to us nicely. We didn't know there was a rule of no walking or we would have been more than happy to obligated. She should definitely have a staff member roaming the grounds instead of herself because she definitely cannot control her bad attitude and should not be out in the wild.

Remembered to look them up this year and wowwwwww, so glad I did. Mulberries are so fun to eat/pick and definitely worth the experience. What do mulberries taste like you ask? Think a cross between a blackberry and raspberry but with a hint of grape and maple syrup/honey. If you're hesitant to come because of the entry fee, don't be. You're not only paying for the experience but you're paying for AYCE mulberries! Also keep in mind that they taste THE BEST when eaten right off of the tree. If you do decide to take some home, don't forget to try them frozen! I can see Passion Gardens really blowing up as a family friendly activity and a U-Pick lovers paradise. Golf carts take you to and from picking site. Tarped picking areas so there's no dirt to worry about. Bathrooms are not porta potties and there's an area for kids to play. Gloves and trays for picking are provided.

I have previously gone to one of the U Pick ranches but they had very limited timing this year and none of the times worked for us. I found this place while looking for other places to go and it was open on the weekend that we wanted to go. We went late on a Friday afternoon and this place was easy to find but I didn't think it was the right place because when you enter, it looks like a car junk yard. There was one other family picking cherries so the place was not too crowded. We checked in, had to read some information, got our bags and went right in. They have various types of cherries - bing, lapins, black etc. and that was the best thing about this place. The trees are have a color stripe that tells you about the types of cherries. We walked for most of an hour with barely any cherries. All the reachable ones were either picked out or too unripe. What I noticed is that for the other families who came after us, the people in the front gave them long poles that will help pick cherries on the top which we were neither told about nor offered, hmmmmmm. We finally found one tree loaded with black cherries, they were small but delicious and we went overboard and picked too many. This place charges $6/lb while most others charge $.50c more. They also have apricots but the fruit was not ready on the weekend that we visited.

My favorite orchard to pick cherries!…read more This orchard seems to have expanded their parking area. Last year they just had the main small parking lot you would pull into. Now there's more parking available on the side of the road for overflow. Guess the place got more popular. When you walk into the lot, you'll see the tented area where they hand out bags and you purchase your cherries at the end of your adventure. When you first arrive at the tables, they'll ask you to read through all their rules and overview of how to pick cherries. They have a handy print out of all the varieties of cherries that you can identify based on the colored stripes on the tree trunks. When you go into the orchard, the fun begins! This year to start, they just had a few varieties ready so far. I ended up focusing on picking the Tartarian cherries. These are a beautiful dark red cherry that are very soft (hence bruise easily!) and tasty. They're sweet and not that acidic. Compared to the other cherries available so far this summer, these are my favorite. $6 / lb of cherries. That's 50¢ cheaper than the other U-Pick orchards that are currently open and for even better cherries (imho) :-) I'm looking forward to coming back soon!

When we were there, the staff advised us to head deeper into the farm since most of the cherries near the parking lot had already been picked. The price was $6.5 per lb, which is slightly pricy compared to the farms in Brendwood, but considering the location, if you live in South Bay, this is the ideal location for cherry picking. A couple of things to note that they do not provide ladders on site due to safety and liability concerns, and you cannot bring your own buckets/bags; they will provide the plastic bags for you at the farm.

However, I would think that coming on the first day would give me a better chance of cherry picking. Many trees were sparse and had little to no cherries for picking. :( I wondered if I just chose the wrong ranch to pick from. I came for bings and Rainer's and left with only Rainer's. The bings didn't look as red or ripe to eat. It's a fun summer activity, but I recommend all come early when ranches are open! $6.50/lb for self pick and $7.50/lb if you want them pre-picked. Bags are provided!
