They quickly diagnosed the problem as something about the gasket around the new vent pipe (not ice dams, yay!). The team also fixed a leak I'd had in the garage for years, and also put on an excellent ridge vent and took care of some rot (replaced boards) on my soffits & trim. Our house has gutter guards - not installed by Heritage. When, in winter, i saw a problem with my gutters clogged/not draining, Kevin came over with his ladder, went up, removed the gutter guard, and cleaned out the down spout front and back of my house - for free... I had been calling around for gutter cleaning estimates (tough during winter) and one vendor pretty much said "you have to replace everything" without even seeing the job. We signed a contract in March of 2021 and he did not finish the project until April of 2022, a single bathroom remodel. In the course of demo for remodel, his crew cut through pipes and live wires. His crew attempted to conceal the issues by wrapping painters tape around water pipes, which resulted in flooding my downstairs. His crew left expose live wires with painters tape on them as a their fix and left my house in a potentially dangerous situation. Upon me expressing my concerns, he threaten to walk away and drop the contract. I was forced to continue the project, due to the fact he had caused more damage, than he made improvements at that point. He would constantly attempt to cut ever corner he could in rectifying it. Other than some unqualified laborers, he has no one on his payroll, he is simply calling contractors you could call yourself, with little to no planning and scheduling. This resulted in large delays between each phase and most sub contractor were so frustrated with him, they did not want to work for him. If it wasn't for constant calling and emailing him and his sub contractors directly, managing the project on our own, it would have never got done. What work him and his actual crew, of unqualified laborers did, was sub par and leaves us questioning what I did not see. I have not even finished expressing how bad every aspect of this project was, do not believe a word he says. I wish I could give negative stars. I was new to the area and took a year-and-a-half interviewing roofers -- seven in total. Because I…read morewas looking for a roof on a sprawling ranch house with all manner of twists and turns, I knew I had to find someone with a level of expertise on which I could depend. In addition, I also planned to roof a freestanding cottage, potting shed and two barns. Jon was the only roofer to express enthusiasm over what was a decidedly complicated job. His company also provides siding and sun tunnels, and they were able to patch some siding to match existing material and install a sun tunnel in my kitchen. This is the kind of one-stop shopping I was thrilled to have. The team, under the leadership of Angel, also replaced six skylights with solar-powered blinds that reap credits come tax season. They were also able to spray foam into a rotted exterior beam and finish it off with a custom-molded lead cap they painted to match the wood. There was nothing they couldn't do, and my requests (which dribbled in as the work proceeded) were never met with anything but total professionalism and suggestions for how it could be done. When Jon and I first discussed the job, I was still debating what type of roofing to install. My lack of focus dragged on for several months, and Jon would check back with me at intervals and send me product links for what he thought I might like. I looked at everything from metals, thatch, cedar shakes, faux shakes, slate and tile. A lot of the products I was interested in initially were discontinued but showed up in online searches as if they were available. Jon diligently pursued what products were still on the market, which helped me avoid going down a rabbit hole in attempting to find the "perfect" product. This forward-thinking support was invaluable in helping me narrow down my choice -- Presidential Shakes by Certainteed in an autumn blend. This product is absolutely stunning and provides a rustic accent to my quirky home, which features very low rooflines where the shingles are a visible characteristic of the home. These shingles are offset from one another and are subtly multicolored in the most pleasing of tones. They have a cottage feel that often mimcs thatch or slate. I am a graphic designer so my standards for visual appeal might be more demanding than most. I urged Jon to take a drone video of the job, because I think this project fully shows off his company's capabilities. Once you contact Jon Rigali, your search will be over.
