BEWARE and run away from this owner and dealer QUICKLY! Dishonest liar and con artist. I dealt with him on an auto for two weeks and was lied to over, over, and over again at every step of the process. Come to an agreement one day and then he comes back to change the terms of the deal the next, day in and day out. Has an excuse for EVERYTHING..including this review I imagine just as he has done with other poor reviews. Do not believe it. It's all a con. He's simply the worst and most dishonest of used car salesman. Look at the 2012 Honda Accord he has on his site today. It shows 113,030 miles. In February he had the SAME car listed with 109,000 miles. In March he had the SAME car listed with 104,000. (How does a car go backward in mileage? He said it was a mistake. Really? Two different readings, both not true and going backward in two months?) When called on it, because Carfax showed 113,030 miles he quickly overnight changed the ad and told me the next morning that, "Our website clearly has the correct miles on it and I just checked it says 113,035". NOT TRUE AT ALL, see the attached screen shots to prove the February and March ads showing the declining mileage. Is he rolling back odometers which is easy to do these days with a cheap device? Not sure, but not sure how else you go from 113+ thousand miles to 109+ to 104+ over two months of time. He came up with some bad excuse for this too just as he does for everything. NOT AN HONEST PERSON. STEER CLEAR. Then tried to have me sign documents that are counter to MA State Lemon Law (The only warranty he gives) that he is mandated to follow. A person cannot sign away rights under that law, but he tried to get me to do it. Wants people to not test drive cars, but pay for them in full with no driving at this point. Will negotiate the whole deal and say you can test drive later and then buy the car, but then come back and say no you have to pay for it in full with no driving of the car. He displayed one price for the car, but when contacted says that was not the price and that it was $2,500 more! That same Accord is on there today for the price I contacted him about weeks ago (that he changed multiple times during those weeks) back down to the original price I'd contacted him about, but that when called was told it was $2,500 more..at least this time he's put the honest mileage on it as he know he was caught fudging the mileage. (Rolling back an odometer a federal offense should anyone do such a thing). In a few weeks of interaction I was lied to, deceived, mislead many times each and every day of the process. Then when I refused to go back to square one and pay upfront with no test drive, as we had agreed would not happen, he got nasty and started sending incredibly unprofessional and off-the-wall emails. I would not trust ONE single thing this person says, (Dennis the owner), does, or represents. Even down to the book values he states for cars on his site being thousands of dollars inflated. It's just really every single thing out of his mouth or on his site is not trustworthy. I've truly never experienced anything like it. Total and complete dishonesty. I hope that those who have bought from him in the past got cars with the actual mileage of the car having run. Very much unsure of that though. And for those looking to buy from this con-man...again, beware. You've been warned. I'm sure you'll see his typical excuses and casting blame the other way in response to this review, but do not believe any of it. He's a liar and cheat and his word is worth dirt. And just for the record, anyone who rolls back odometers is committing a federal crime. You'd be nuts to buy from this person. For the record I'm a college educated late 50's aged man, 26 year business owner, and responsible and honest person. What you'll find at Borges Auto is the polar opposite of that. read more
