Although no one ever wants to think about "what if", with two young children, having a will is an absolute necessity. It's something that needs to be in place, hopefully not to be used for a very long time.
My wife and I had meant to do our will for a few years, but we just couldn't find the right person to assist us. After researching several other estate planning attorneys, we put our faith into Mr. Alec Borenstein of Borenstein, McConnell & Calpin, P.C., and we couldn't be happier with his exceptional service.
Mr. Borenstein met us at our home at night, after our children went to bed. He assessed our needs by inquiring about our wishes, our assets, life insurance, etc., and explained all the options. Together, we determined what would be best for us. We had a multitude of questions, all of which were answered thoroughly and in detail. He took the time to make sure that our needs were understood, and he explained each step in preparing the wills.
Shortly thereafter, we received and reviewed the draft documents, including living wills, health care proxy, powers of attorney, etc. (documents we didn't even realize we needed). My wife and I had a few questions about certain details. An associate of Mr. Borenstein, Mr. Guttman, made himself available in the evening for a teleconference in which he guided us and addressed all of our inquiries.
We feel very relieved that our estate planning documents are in order. It's something that we don't need to worry about, knowing that our children would be cared for by the guardians of our choosing, and would also be protected financially in their best interest.
My wife and I highly recommend Mr. Borenstein and his staff for preparing estate documents or for any other legal needs. read more
