He wouldn't even get into a more engaging discussion about the services he offers, how he can help assist us, etc. Instead, he claimed he was "like a doctor" who would diagnose our situation only after we came in and paid the $500 fee. I would not recommend this law firm- he is clearly just out to get fees, take advantage, etc. Last I checked doctors try to help people. I wouldn't go around claiming you are "like a doctor" Jeff.

I went back to them for selling my property. I would regret this forever. To begin with, I am not a new client, and on the day of closing, he had no clue about my immigration status or SSN/tax details or basic details about my husband. If a title company suggests something, he is supposed to back me up according to my needs, but he failed on it miserably representing me. The cherry on the cake: After all the mess, when I asked him what went wrong, why was he not on the top of the game... his classic response was... a terrible unprofessional word #@!$%&****, you guys got your check, now you may hit the door and never come back into my office. Since I can't do much because of surgery, knowing this man has had my back just makes my recovery allot easier. I feel so confident and reassured with John Carrino, Esq. as my attorney. That's right -- not ONE, not TWO, not THREE, not FOUR, not FIVE, but SIX WEEKS. I could have gotten a default judgment. My understanding, although not a NJ lawyer, is that this case management failure is malpractice. Damages are obviously another issue, but a cut and dry case of malpractice nonetheless. 2) Fees: They quoted $1,500, took that amount as a retainer, and charged me another $1900 on top of that. The additional fee might be warranted for competent legal counsel, however please see points 1 and 3. 3) Client communication: They did not communicate that they would be billing me an additional amount. When I asked them a fairly simple question about whether I needed a form, they responded with "I don't know" and billed me $50 for the pleasure of having them read that email, $50 for them to research that answer of pure legal genius, and $50 for responding to my email. It was a question that they should have known. 4) Firing them: When I tried to tell them I didn't want them to represent me, they continued to contact me and bill me, again for this distinct pleasure. My husband's lawyer (Corinne M. DeStefano) did a much better job in a much more timely manner for a much better rate.
