The staircase and stained glass are not to be missed. When you stand in the lobby look around you, you feel transported to another era. The rooms are much improved and comfortable, though the bathrooms are small by modern standards. Be patient for the hot water. The restaurant was great for dinner - see photos of our meals below. We started with cocktails in the bar and the bartender really does a great job. The service here was flawless - everyone was super helpful and pleasant. One thing: there is no place for breakfast here. We bought muffins the night before and made do with the Keurig coffee maker. Our destination early the next morning was Whitewater draw for the cranes - its about a 30 minute drive from the hotel.

Everyday I also smelled cigarettes coming through to my room.  Front desk service was very slow. The pillows were VERY uncomfortable. The remote in the room was damaged and didn't work.  Over all I don't think the workers care about their customers. I wouldn't stay here again.

The rooms are very large allowing lots of space for activities like dancing and yoga. The rooms have what you need like coffee, fridge, microwave, couch, bed. I was content with how clean they were. Complaints I have: only two pillows, big black hole in my bathroom door, I was charged for my whole stay at check in rather than check out, the fitness center and pool close at 7, and the covid revised breakfast (grab bags) is a joke.

When my husband and I arrived and attempted to get two rooms for the night, one for us and one for his father, we were greeted by a locked door and a whiteboard sign telling us to ring the night service bell and/or call a particular phone number for service. After ringing the bell multiple times to no avail, I attempted to call the number on the whiteboard. When a women casually answers, I state that we are trying to check in she responds with, "oh I don't work there no more." Great. My husband calls the number on Google and we can hear the phone ringing away with no one to answer. So we got in our car and left. Probably for the better that we didn't stay there. Especially given the lack of concern/service for their guests, or potential guests.

You could find yourself trapped by another guest's car if you plan to leave before 7 am. We had no problem. No ice machine nor vending machine. Bring a cooler with ice. The owners would have probably pulled ice from their restaurant, but we didn't ask. The hotel restaurant serves excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner, but they're closed on Sundays. That's it for the cons. The hotel is lush and beautiful, as was our room, which was BIG! Our second floor room had beautiful art, linens and great toiletries. The wifi is free and may be the best we've experienced in the US and Mexico. We were shocked when we saw our room. The owners obviously put a great deal of thought into the ambience of the entire place. The location is walking distance, one block from a small indoor mall, about 40 stores. The anchor store is called LEY. The store is similar to a Super Target, with food, furniture, some appliances, etc. It has everything! Almost everything you need is at this store. They close at 10 pm. The employees are extremely helpful, but some speak Spanish only. In conclusion, we would stay there again. This is a really beautiful hotel.
