I have two ruptured discs, spinal stenos is and arthritis in my lower back and it has been very painful for several years. The first surgeon said that I "just have an old back". While I am sure that this is true it did not give me any comfort. I later had a pinched nerve in my neck and my right arm was becoming useless. I was referred to another surgeon and he did a great job of healing me. I later asked him about my lower and he said that I should see a P.T. After several recommendations I went to Borden's P. T. Tim Borden did an eval and then started to work. After several sessions it started feeling better and continued to improve until I was almost back to my old self and could do work around the house and yard. There are still things that I can't do (like run in the Senior Olympics) but I feel like I am back among the living. Not is Tim a great P. T. but a wonderful person. He, his wife and the whole staff are very nice to deal with and very accommodating I have been to several P. T.'s in my lifetime and Tim is the best. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a P. Over the years I have been to other Physical Therapy providers in Tucson. It has been usual to be initially evaluated by a Licensed Physical Therapist, who developed a care plan. The subsequent appointments were then handled by a Physical Therapy Assistant, often caring for multiple other patients at the SAME time. I felt I was just another body. Borden is not like that! I worked with Physical Therapist Sharon Farrell, with alternate appointments from Physical Therapy Assistant Jason Cummings. Jason and Sharon worked as a team to relieve me of long-term neck pain following an accident. I had focused, uninterrupted time with them each session. Tim Borden is absolutely outstanding! Tim has patiently worked with me through 10 breast reconstructive surgeries and Bi-lateral Mastectomy. I had limited mobility in my upper body prior to working with Tim Borden and significant pain due to post mastectomy bleeding complications ignored for seven months resulting in severe chest scarring. Tim's therapy and exercises have provided me the ability to function again without stabbing pain...I am back swimming laps and lifting small weights after 4 difficult and challenging years of chronic scar tissue pain. This is my third experience with a Physical Therapist. Tim Borden, PT is unbelieveable. On the first visit he diaganosed my tendinitus of the left shoulder (according to my family doctor) as actually bursitus which required different treatment. At first I thought I would end up having my shoulder operated on. Instead he used a cortizone patch powered by a battery, and exercizes and in a few visits my shoulder pain was virtually gone. There may be a number of really goot PT's out there, but Tim is so easy and warm to be around that there is no dreading going.
