They do have beauty and pharmacy counters as well as a small fridge section and other items you'd expect to find in a Boots Store, many of the product range is much reduced to their other stores, the store could have been much cleaner, it seemed a little messy/dirty, especially for a health/pharmacy retailer. 3* - They've tried to make the store modern and the product range is OK, they do have decent facilities although it is pretty much reduced to a larger or similar sized store, the huge store in Manchester city centre nearby is obviously better but this convenient location with parking right outside isn't a bad alternative.

For some reason, the checkouts seemed to be right in the middle of the store, which meant you had to pass them in order to get through the store, this means queuing could be rather uncomfortable as it could easily mean blocking aisles, they would have been better placed on a corner, or at the back of the store: this is the first time I've seen a Boots store do this, I don't see why it couldn't be possible to move them. The store was clean, reduced staff in the store but as expected due to the UK government restrictions ongoing for COVID-19 3*

This location is inside Crompton Arcade on Mealhouse Lane in Bolton town centre, but due to current government guidelines forcing the mall to shut, it can only be accessed through street-level as of February 2021, which will hopefully change in the coming weeks. The staff seemed friendly enough and happy to help. There is an Opticians area, but I prefer Marks and Spencer across the way for that. 3*

The selection inside the store is pretty good from everything you'd expect to find in Boots, and the staff are also friendly. The store isn't as modern as other Boots stores in terms of appearance and there are no self-service tills - I find this to be annoying as the checkouts are often understaffed and can move really slowly, especially if a customer has a click-and-collect order or if a staff member has other tasks to do, on my most recent visit, I almost considered leaving my shopping due to the slow service (not the staff members fault, just understaffed and could do with self-service tills) 3* - It's a useful location, while the facilities are less than the nearby location at the Trafford Centre, it has benefits in its' own right.

There is the pharmacy, No7 range and essentials range, most of the toiletries brands, baby section, vitamins and potions, travel, perfumes and electricals, photo, sandwiches, salads, juices and milk, some confectionery and crisps. The choice could be larger but given the area of the shop - it's understandable the choice is not that great. The sandwiches aren't good - shapers, or any other brand - they are just plain awful - tasteless and overpriced, the choice isn't great either. The staff are not that warm, some girls who work there are nice enough but they all could be a bit more polite and helpful. The annoying bit is also that the shelves are not stocked very often, so when you want to e.g. want to buy the 3for 2 vitamins of one choice - there will be one or two items but not three. Some products are not replaced in days - annoying and frustrating. All in all, this Boots is not that bad but it is not that great either when it comes to choice and service.
