A decent Superdrug store in Bolton town centre, which is located on Deansgate. The store looks…read morelarger from the outside than it actually is, the store is still a pretty good size and is a little larger than other Superdrug stores you'd find in a smaller town. For some reason, they only had one set of doors working, I totally understand having one set of doors to go in and out the store for COVID reasons, but that didn't seem to be the case, and with no signs on the doors on the far right which weren't working either, I was left to look like an idiot trying to pull and then push the door only to realise it wasn't in use. When I recommended they added a sign to the door, a staff member just looked at me, without much of a response. Some good deals, prices did seem a little high compared to nearby Boots, but this is something which seems to change regularly as prices fluctuate with promotional offers. The store was mostly clean which is also good. The nearby store at Middlebrook in the Horwich area of Bolton does have more facilities, for example, there you will find a Health Clinic which isn't a feature here. The opening hours here also mean this store closes slightly earlier, at 5:30 Monday-Saturday, compared to the slightly later time of 6 pm in Horwich. 3* - A-OK, decent Superdrug store, although nearby stores in Horwich, Leigh and Manchester are better.

They have a good selection of stock from cosmetics, toiletries, hair care, perfumes and cologne, holiday essentials, magazines, confectionery and baby items etc. It's always worth a look in this store as they often have multiple offers on which make them much more appealing then many of their competitors. The staff are generally attentive and helpful in this branch and they often have their full amount of tills operational to avoid unnecessary queuing.

Boots have a fair number of branches in Bolton town centre, this is my favourite, being in a small…read moreretail park on Trinity Street, it means you can park almost directly outside. The product range of the items in the store was pretty good, while I do prefer the Manchester Arndale store, they did have some unique products which are rarely stocked in Boots stores including gift packet chocolates, although these were often much more expensive than Sainsbury's which is next store, many toiletries items were also cheaper at Sainsbury's, so the price isn't great in most areas. The store was clean and the staff seemed friendly enough. There is a midnight pharmacy, it is one of the few Boots stores in the area to offer this, while the regular store is open until 8 pm, after this time they have a window, similar to what you'd find as a service station which you can use for your pharmacy needs, which is really handy and useful to the local area. 4* - The selection might not be the best, but it's pretty good for a store of its' size, the late opening of the pharmacy is handy, do be prepared to pay a little more if you are coming here though, which isn't ideal considering stores which are virtually next to this one do sell products at a cheaper rate, such as Sainsbury's and Home Bargains, not forgetting retailers elsewhere Bolton town centre.

This Boots is one of those. Weird because I wouldn't have thought Boots was somewhere you went to do Saturday out-of-town retail park browsing kind of shopping along with a trip to Peacocks and TK Maxx, but it's here nonetheless and I guess it must work for them. Helpfully, this Boots has a pharmacy that is open to midnight, which is always useful. Aside from this, this store is light, airy and white, full of cosmetics, beauty supplies and all the shower gel you could ever need.

I've been a few times for various bits and bobs over the years - mainly relating to sports injuries or sickness as you'd expect with a Pharmacy - and most visits have been on days when every other bloody Pharmacy or shop is closed, so you can see Nash Pharmacy is an absolute saviour! Price wise you're talking about average, nothing is really expensive or something you could get elsewhere cheaper but again you won't be saving loads by opting for Nash instead of someone else. Choice wise - brilliant. It's a fairly large Pharmacy you have your standard stuff for colds and flus but then also a pretty well stocked section for bandages/supports and other injury style treatments. I needed this type of product on my most reason visit - on Easter Sunday - after suffering a hamstring injury the day before and the lady on duty was absolutely fantastic. She went out of her way to find me the right type of support and treatments that would be get me back playing sooner but what I like the most is she actually recommended products less expensive that their higher end stuff - that's customer service above profit and I love that!
