I have a real soft spot for this Boots store. I visited it at least once a week as a teenager, so I could fritter away my pocket money on 17 lipsticks, false nails that I never wore and countless bottles of Impulse's Vanilla Kisses. I'm just as bad now, although I tend to spend my spare pennies on lovely Bourjois eyeshadows instead! This is quite a big branch that sells a huge range of make-up and toiletries, from bargain basement ranges by Rimmel, 17 and Collection 2000 to more prestigious brands, like Lancome. There's also a dedicated perfume counter, photo lab, optician, pharmacy and a great baby section, selling everything from formula to cute kids' clothes. At the front of the store, you'll find fridges packed with tasty sandwiches, cold drinks and snacks for the famous Boots 'meal deal', too. Boots is located in the heart of the Ladysmith Centre, very close to the bus station. Despite this not being a large store, compared to Manchester anyway, it is always well stocked and has everything I need. They rearrange things occasionally which can be very confusing but the sales assistants are always very helpful and friendly. If I can't find something, there is always somebody around that I can ask. I have recently ordered some glasses from Boots and the service I received was great. I have a genetic eye condition that they hadn't seen before so they took photographs and had a good look at my eyes but they were always polite and made sure I had the time to spare. everything you would expect from boots. this store isn't one of the bigger boots stores ,but is very well stocked. the christmas offers were really good with the 3 for 2 offer and perfumes were also good on value. situated in the heart of lady smith next door to peacocks and facin textile direct. read more
