Yippee! My first one star review and it is so well deserved.
Where do I start. Firstly, the one stars is not about the product, namely the glasses. Yes, when I eventually got both pairs they were fine. However, I wish to point out that the service at this store is utterly abysmal. Think first and ask your self...should I go to Specsavers?
I ordered two pairs of glasses-one with transitions. I went in to collect both pairs after two weeks and felt that the lenses were not quite right. They are varifocal and didn't seem right to me. I was asked to try them out for two weeks and I had no problems with that. I was given the transitions pair. .So when I returned, I was happy to keep my specs. I asked for the second pair and was told they had mistakenly been sent for new lenses. Could I come back in another two weeks? During the two weeks I did get used to them but I noticed not a jot of a transition to anything like a darker shade. Hmm..Two weeks later I was given the second pair back and queried the transition status. I was told..um..they weren't transition..could I...yes, you guessed it..come back in two weeks. All the time I was being told this I had to drag an apology out of the sole man who deals with glasses (weird set up as only one person can deal with customers collecting glasses). i felt he was not really sorry for the fact I had to wait ages for my glasses. Also, how did the laboratory miss off the transitions? It is such a fundamental item. My wife was supposed to have blue tint to her glasses-and had paid for it-but there is no blue tint. Be very wary about checking that your glasses have all the coatings. To be honest, I never had this issue at all with Specsavers. I don't trust the Boots lab and didn't at all like the service I received. If there is an issue then please say sorry or get out of customer service. read more
