We stayed at the Boothill 3 years ago and again last week. I am not sure who owns it, but despite the generic decor and standard amenities, they manage to provide a friendly and comfortable anti corporate vibe. The prices seem a little high but we're in line with other similar lodging in Billings; curiously, we paid more here than anywhere else on our 6 day road trip from Ohio to Olympia, WA. The provided hot and cold breakfast is above average and definitely a time and money saver when you're on the move. WARNING: when booking a room, make sure you are interacting with the hotel itself. I was booking from my phone on the rod and realized I was talking to a third party chat bot. Sounds just like a nice middle aged woman with a down home folksy Southern accent. "She" gave me a good rate but charged me a $20 reservation fee without notifying me. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and had it removed. read more

Bathroom didn't have any washcloths so i couldn't shower. The breakfast was the worst i've ever had at a hotel. Eggs had a hair in it and were just huge chunks. Biscuits and gravy were hard as a rock.. Terrible flavor aswell. Sausage was okay. I usually look forward to breakfast but today, i was beyond disappointed. Horrible experience. If you wanted to take a shower good luck because there are no washcloths. Everything about this place was upsetting. The only thing that i enjoyed was the dvd player. read more

Boothill Inn & Suites is convenient for those times when I have an unearthly early morning flight and want to return a rental car the night before. The airport shuttle service makes it easy. It's one of the closer, reasonably priced hotels with a shuttle service. It's a good hotel, quiet, clean, comfortable, and with some of the nicest front desk people. The rooms have charging outlets everywhere, the television has a good mix of stations, the wireless works very well. All things needed to get work done . . . or not is here. There are some small things Boothill makes available to bring it beyond the ordinary mid-price hotel, such as two complimentary water bottles, a water fountain that will dispense filtered water if you travel with your own bottles. In the evenings, there are warm cookies and the coffee and tea is available 24/7 in the lobby. For early morning flights, before the breakfast is available, there are brown bags with a muffin and a granola bar (or similar) and a bottle of water. While there isn't much in the immediate neighborhood for food options to which you can walk -- at least without crossing a crazy, busy street, there is a nice walking path to get some exercise if using the exercise room isn't an option for you. Dear Lacey, I'm not sure of your position but I'll assume you're the manager. And I mean no disrespect/malice at any time in my tone, however-- I asked for the manager but the assistant said she could potentially help. Well- I should have asked again for the manager because your perception of what happened is a bit inaccurate. So I'm not sure the message was properly relayed... As u can see in the present tense verbiage "here" in my review.. I posted the review while I was in your hotel room- before I decided to ask for upper management. I also told the assistant manager that I left a review but that hopefully we would clear things up so that I would rethink it. Seems fair to me. There were no demands. I was humble & had tears of disappointment & regret in my eyes. My stay included 2 nights. I justly asked for the remaining night to be refunded. Why should anyone want to stay another night? Yes, thank u for refunding my second night's stay promptly. (Let's attribute the 1 star I gave u to that aspect. And I'm not being sarcastic.) I arrived tired at 11pm-ish & noticed the parking lot was not by any means crowded- which indicates the hotel was not busy.. So why, I wondered, did I get the last room at end of the hall? Even the assistant manager questioned out loud, why I was given that particular room, while I was complaining to her about the hair in the tub. That, again, was conformation there were other rooms available. I thought, do companies pay Expedia to boost their reviews? I was confused by Boothill Inn's reviews on Expedia, because if u pride yourselves on being clean, why was there hair and such in my bathtub? And what about the holes in the wall in my room? Why not at least put pictures up to cover them? No, I wasn't aware if Billings was a poorer neighborhood (as I am from out of state) but it did not seem like "the hood." Y'all claim "Consistently rated among the top hotels in Billings, our independence allows us to be uniquely Montana, while offering the comforts of home." So I took a peek in the laundry room & there was major hoard in it. Boxes, papers or posters- decorations, chairs, etc, etc.. as if it's also used as a personal storage area for the hotel. And because of the hoard, only 2 machines were accessible! I wish I would have also captured that image to show what I am referring to. Is this what u mean by offering the comforts of home- hoard? Maybe if y'all were linked to a major corporation, like Marriott, Hyatt, or Holiday Inn, the standards would be higher. Independent corps. tend to have no accountability- they have the, we do/say what we want, mentality. While I was at your hotel having felt what I perceived as subtle discrimination, I googled the state's Census to check the statistics on minorities-- turns out-- Montana is ranked 51 (last) in having the least amount of blacks in our United States. And I understand that you all may not even realize it- but the numbers don't lie. And actions will always speak louder than words. I was so hurt by this experience, my first impression, at your hotel that I cancelled my appointment with the realtor to view homes in Billings; and so decided I'm not leaving 1 hell to come to another. Lets not face it but you all left me feeling we're not entirely welcome. I was honestly so hurt by this I drove 30 hours-straight back home to friendly territory on lynch-fearing adrenaline. (Yelp, Im sorry, can we say lynch here?) Thank you sincerely for understanding as much as u can. As well as- I don't fault u for what u can not understand. Although I'm not sure why u waited 19 days to reach out. Did u really care about my experience or were u only hoping for my review to disappear? I did appreciate the assistant's kind demeanor while assisting me at the front desk. She was very apologetic.. And I'm glad you get to hear from the horse's mouth as was intended to begin with. If you like to actually get rest and sleep in a hotel then this place is not for you! Keep driving!! HORRENDOUS Road noise!! I do 150 nights a year and have for the last 25+ years all over the country. This is in the top 5 worst hotels for outside road noise I have ever been in. The hotel is located between a V shaped intersection at the bottom of a hill so it wouldn't matter what side of the hotel you are on because your surrounded by two busy streets. All night long are cars and trucks with rusted off mufflers or no mufflers at all accelerate up the hill from the intersection below, or they were leaving the gas station adjacent to the hotel. You can even throw in a few semis that use there Jake Brake to slow down as the descend the hill to the intersection below. This was a nice added bonus! There is nothing you can do to drown out the noise. The windows are junk! Noise also gets in through the cheap wall unit which is normal with this type of system. Some are worse than others. I had the continuous fan on the wall unit, the shades pulled down and even clipped a blanket from the front desk over the window in an attempt to make it tolerable. I also had my sound machine on my phone turned up nearly all the way but nothing would drown it out. The front staff was nice when I checked in so the one star is for that. The room was fair and was clean. This is a $89 night hotel at best. That's it! I paid $290 out the door....almost $200 more than it's worth. What a fool I was. I came very close to packing up and driving the rental car the airport and sleeping in the car until my flight the next morning. If it wasn't for the fact that it was 5° outside I would have. The ver worst staff. I am a caregiver of a stroke patient. He is in a wheelchair and only has the use of his left arm. He had sold his home. it sold more quickly than he expected. He had money but no place to go. I helped look for a hotel that had the necessary width of doorway, he needed a room for his wheelchair and a bathroom wall on his left side because he can not use his right arm. We searched apartments and hotels all over town. Boothill was accessible. He went to pay for the room, they looked at his Montana ID and told us that they did not rent to locals. They told me to try the homeless shelter. I actually had already been to the shelter. There are flights of stairs and it stinks of urine. I was so shocked and appalled by her cold rudeness. It is much harder than you think to find a place to stay when you require a ramp for every 2 inch barrier. read more

This place is a Godsend!!! We had originally booked an Airbnb in the area that was so bad we couldn't even do one night there. I called Boothill and they were so AMAZING!!! They had a room for us and were waiting when we got there. The two girls up front gave me the warmest welcome! The rooms are a good size and extremely clean! They have a free shuttle to take you to restaurants downtown and they even gave us masks at the front desk after we had forgotten ours in room. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and hotel. Book here- it's the best spot in Billings- trust me. read more

Honestly, this hotel could use a little TLC. The carpets have lots of noticeable STAINS which are not being cleaned regularly. Maybe its time to replace them! Other reviewers have noticed them too. Don't get me wrong --- the staff is VERY NICE and the free shuttle is a wonderful amenity. However, the much-touted free breakfast has no sausage or bacon, no potatoes, and is markedly inferior to the Comfort Suites (which is brand new with no carpet stains). We had a one-night stay here on the way to Yellowstone National Park. We also stayed at the competition for 2 nights, and they got 5 stars! read more

I don't know what it is... it's not new or fancy. This is just a great hotel they really think of all the practical things you want at a hotel. Like going over board with outlets everywhere for charging, a fan that always stays on (if you want) (which I do), a place to fill up your water bottle with purified water, great breakfast, fridge, microwave, coffee. I stay in a lot of hotels and it's rare that I find everything I'm looking for! Oh and I almost forgot to mention the most important part... the beds are amazing! read more

We got to stay for FREE! Allegiant Airlines cancelled our flight, and they gave us vouchers. The staff is awesome! Friendly, helpful, & ready to share all their knowledge of the city. They have a nice large shuttle van that is readily available. The rooms are clean. They have 2 hot tubs and indoor pool. A gym. To top it off, they serve fresh baked cookies from 7-9. The breakfast is nearly perfect. I think they were looking out for me, and realized that I (& the other "well fed" people) really shouldn't be eating any ham, sausage, or bacon. :-) The waffles are great! My family went on a vacation like no other this past summer. We knew what we were doing and where we were staying for the first couple of days but then after that it was pretty much an open book. We knew we needed to find a hotel in Billings so we drove around hoping to find something in the area. We saw many signs advertising the Boothill Inn & Suites and it had free wi-fi so we were determined to find it. We were across the street at another hotel trying to get a wi-fi signal to find cheap rates on hotels. We were having trouble connecting there so we came across the street and just to check my dad went in to check availability and prices. He came out and told us that they had free wi-fi, cookies until 10, and free breakfast in the morning. Then he told us the price and we were sold. We checked in painlessly and got up to our room which had two huge, very comfortable beds. It was pretty much your standard hotel setup but man were those beds comfortable. We liked the Boothill Inn & Suites so much that when we were looking for hotels in Montana later in our trip we looked for a Boothill. Unfortunately right now they are only located in Billings but I hope the best for them in expanding (if they ever do). read more

I would not have stayed at this hotel on my own because I didn't know about it. A friend recommended that I stay here, and boy was she right! You'll be welcomed by friendly, knowledgeable staff. There's free breakfast, free beverages all day, free wifi, clean rooms with a fridge and microwave, complimentary water bottles, and really comfortable beds. I didn't have a chance to use the exercise facility, pool, or hot tubs, but everything appears to be in tip-top shape. There are little things that you'll like too, for example the outlet box on top of the nightstand, so that you can easily charge your devices. Not all hotels have this (in 2014?!) and it's just another example of Boothill going above and beyond. This is simply an amazing hotel. I'm so glad it was recommended to me. If I was there for more than a night I definitively would of workout there but could do to the 10K that was doing the following day. breakfast was eh but what can you expect for a hotel complimentary breakfast so I will give that 4 stars as well. Cannot beat the free Wi-Fi but no HBO for a hotel kind of blows. I think this is the only hotel of it kind needs to franchise and put in other cities. This was a fantastic hotel to stay in with a breakfast on top of that. The front desk was very kind and hospitable to everyone here. The only complaint that I have is only this, there was a family that came downstairs with 2 little ones. The problem was not that, rather the lack of clothes that they had on . This is indeed s family establishment that other people need respect and the fact that nobody from the hotel said anything to this family was quite appalling. Then the mother proceed to leave their young 3 or 4 year old daughter with her sibling of not much older to eat by themselves as they go out side of the building to smoke. Ridiculous! In any case, I would hope that there would be a policy for this to be. Unfortunately, it happened at the Boothill. read more

Came for a girl's trip and my husband booked a hotel for us. We got to the hotel and my husband didn't book it for the right day so at 9 o'clock we had to find a reasonably priced room. I came up on boot hill and I'm glad I did! They were very considerate and dropped the price for me. It is an extremely clean hotel! I'm really picky when it comes to that! Loved this little hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. I enjoyed the little luxuries that the hotel manager has provided. (Ice water upon check in, towel hooks right by the shower, free bottles of water in the room, makeup towel in the bathroom, plenty of towels, USB outlets for charging on the desk, side tables, and dining area downstairs.)The breakfast was really good and the dining area was clean and welcoming. Such a wonderful location. Hiking trail right off the property, minutes from the airport and downtown Billings. Hotel offers shuttles to near by attractions and is easy to contact for pick up. Overall the staff that works here is courteous, professional and all this with a smile. read more

What a beautiful inn! The staff was so warm and friendly. They picked us up from the airport and gave us a ride into town. They even allowed us to store our bags well past our checkout time. The continental breakfast was absolutely delicious. Sausage, biscuits and gravy were 10/10. Every staff member was as sweet as can be, from the lady sweeping carpets to the front desk to the man that picked us up. If I could abandon my family and adopt a new one, I'd chose the staff at Boothill. Sorry mom. So warm! A rarity nowadays. Everything was just perfect! Would highly recommend. read more
