Solid selection of cocktail glasses and cool bar touches. Also a fan of the modern furniture and chairs they sometimes have in stock

The pricing varies, of course, within each vendor's booth, some more or less than others because each vendor has his/her own interesting collection displayed. I have spent time talking with the vendors and now know some by name. They are happy to meet us too. Forgot to mention .. woman owned. Going on too long here.. it's first on my list of places to go, it's cool inside, there is good parking, and if you have forgotten to do your grocery shopping, Whole Foods is near by. Midtown Mercantile Merchants is No. 1 on my list.

It was soo much fun walking around and seeing all the thrift and vintage items they had. I would come here all the time if I lived close to really spend time looking around at all they have to offer because this place is huge. They even have a downstairs with more items! I didn't even notice the downstairs, but my guy did. I'm soo glad I checked it out because I found a beautiful vintage metal art piece that was perfect in my guest room! I have been looking for a main art piece to hang up for months and couldn't believe my luck!

Marvelous Vintage has been on my list for a while, and I'm glad I finally popped in--especially…read moresince it's located in one of my favorite plazas near Casa Video, which already sets a nostalgic, retro tone. The shop itself is thoughtfully curated and eclectic. You'll find a little bit of everything here: Harley pieces, Betty Boop, Southwestern and cowboy vibes, old-school denim, Dickies, and truly vintage jeans that feel intentionally sourced rather than randomly racks upon racks. From a visual and curation standpoint, it's clear there's an eye behind what's being selected. That said, this is not a casual thrifting stop. This is a higher-end vintage boutique, and the pricing reflects that. Jackets easily reach the several-hundred-dollar range, and many pieces are priced accordingly for collectors or shoppers specifically seeking premium vintage. As someone who shops vintage often and is used to finding great pieces across a wide range of price points, I personally found the prices higher than what I was prepared to spend on this visit, which ultimately meant I didn't walk out with anything. The owner was polite, and the experience itself wasn't unpleasant, but this shop definitely caters to a specific buyer. If you're walking in, expect to spend real money--this isn't a $20-$50 browse-and-buy kind of place. Overall, Marvelous Vintage is well curated and unique, just not aligned with my personal shopping style or budget this time around. If you're looking for rare pieces and are comfortable investing in high-end vintage, this may be right up your alley. For more casual thrifters, it's helpful to know what you're walking into.

Had we had more time, we could have spent hours walking up and down the street checking out all the little shops. The Tucson Thrift Shop actually connects with a pass through with another store called, The Other Side. I don't know if they're two separate shops or one big one, but they sold the same type of vintage clothes, costume jewelry, and costumes perfect for any occasion. The staff were friendly, but stayed behind the counter and offered a nice smile and said hello when you entered the store and have a nice day when you left. They certainly dressed as if they shopped at their own store and had enough tie dyed shirts to make any deadhead happy. If you're in town, it's definitely worth a peek inside. I bought a hamburger hat for my burger club and my son would have bought a couple items if his "square" parents weren't there to make him feel "lame.

I looked at him and said "You're getting me a vintage pinup shoot!" After the shoot I can think of no truer words. Honestly I think I'm getting the better end of that deal! Ramsey, the photographer, and Kelly, make up artist, are incredibly charming and personable. I seriously walked in for my photo shoot and felt like I had known these lovely ladies my whooole life. They were easy going, sweet, and very helpful to someone who was unsure of the process. I told Ramsey I love Bettie Page but had no clue what to wear but that I liked reds/blacks and she pulled a ton of options, had me try them on and helped me pick out what was the most flattering. We ended up doing two outfits rather than just one because she liked them both so much. I also got to pick out props for the shoot. I chose a leopard print chair because rawr right? I also felt fabulous in my makeup and asked Kelly what she was doing while she was doing it and she talked me through everything. She was so good, in fact, I signed up for one of the makeup/hairstyle classes the next day! They offered me makeup wipes afterward and I think I replied "Who'd ever want to take this off?!" I think this may become my regular treat!
