I tried on a pair of the compression style athletic pants/work out pants and the material was very thin, I felt like every square inch of my body was on display, they were comfortable but the material was not what I was looking for, a female sales agent advised me that this particular fabric was new, and she guided me over to the fabric that was a bit thicker, more modest and ultimately more flattering. It was a few dollars more expensive but well worth it. The store was very neatly organized and though I had to seek out assistance, when looking for a dressing room, and when looking for another style of pants, the staff was professional and met my needs. But State & Liberty has a style I love and can't find at &Collar, it's more comparable to Hammermade, which is in roughly the same price class. Mind you, I saw other patrons leaving the dressing rooms with bags in their hand. After telling the attendant I would not leave my bag for someone else to take, she said she would stay and watch it. Not sure why she wasn't watching the other people's bags. My guess, I'm being singled out for some reason....not a good look for this store to single people out. I stopped in today, for the first time, and the employee working told me that it will be a permanent Lululemon store. This Lululemon is much bigger than the Downtown Charleston location and seems to carry a large inventory. There's space in the back for group exercise events or socializing, and tons of clothes for both men and women. They also carry yoga mats and other accessories. If you're not shopping but waiting on someone who is (looking at you, boyfriends and husbands!), the store offers a lot of seating. Being in Mt. Pleasant Towne Center is a big advantage, because there's ample parking. It's a great addition to the other athletic businesses in the shopping center.
