This place is excellent. Probably the best schwarma I've had in a while. The meat at other schwarma places tend to be a bit dry, but this place is perfect. Boostan garlic sauce is the best I've had as well. The staff is extremely friendly. I ordered one mango smoothie, but they made too much; so they ended up just giving me a second smoothie for free. This place is great! NOTE: your direction app might take you past it, ours did. But they have a red sign, so look for that. They can seat 6. It's mostly takeout. Wow. Stumbled across this little gem today. They hooked it up!! Got veggie ghallaba with their rice and it was sooo good! Great amount of food. Got a free mango juice for going through yelp and that was delicious as well! Got delivered and took less than 30 minutes...good (but typical) pita bread so garlic paste and hummus very good too! Went to Boostan for the first time the other night and it was great! The chicken shawarma was excellent - juicy chicken and just the right amount of garlic sauce. The steak sub was really good too. It had a really interesting sauce on it and I got a hint of Heinz 57 flavor too...whatever it was, it worked. The guys behind the counter were friendly and happily explained some of the menu items to me. I'll definitely be back soon! read more

What a find! I travel a lot for work & came across this place on yelp. It is a small restaurant with very little seating. Most folks were taking their meals to go, but I opted to dine in. This turned out to be a great decision because I got the total treatment from the owner. I ordered the chicken shawarma entree which came with a salad & got a mango juice to drink. As I waited on my meal the owner brought out a complimentary hummus since it was my first time as well as some homemade rice pudding that was delicious. It's been a few years and I just want to say the quality of Boostan just gets better. Food is always on point and fresh. I keep finding new things to try and love. The chicken sandwiches and subs are always juicy, unlike a lot of other places that make it dry. Most places overcharge for bbq wings, not boostan! Also the hot fries are great especially on a cold winter day. The cream chop sandwich is still one of my favorites along with the boostan sandwich. The falafels are definitely worth a try too. And to finish it off, be sure to order a fresh smoothie made from REAL fruits. Staff is always polite and nice. This place is truly worth a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

These guys are great! The food is healthy, tasty & plenty. I am a large eater and I got a half plate of chicken schwarma and could not finish my meal. It wasn't for lack of trying...there was just an incredible amount of food...for just over $10! With just a bit of planning, I would think you could even get TWO meals out of it. They are very polite & were patient with my questions. While I was waiting, they gave me some of their special tea. I wasn't sure I'd like it, as I think it had milk/dairy in it...but it was very, VERY good. It was very hot, very sweet, and VERY strong. So it was a good drink. I only had time to drink one quick cup, as my order was done in about 5 minutes. Faster than even some fast food places I've been. HOWEVER, there is simply no comparison. This is much more, tastier, and healthier. Also, think about this....if you commute from one side of the city to the other, it is EASY to stop in if you are on I-94. Just go about 2 miles and you are there. Well worth the side trip. I never would have known they were there without Yelp... They will be going into my regular rotation of places to eat at. Food was super good!! I had the falafel sandwich with curly fries while my BF had the shrimp papaya sub with lentil soup. They served the delicious garlic spread with bread, which is always a plus! The lentil soup was tasty, and so was everything else!! The mango smoothie tasted like pure mangos blended with nothing else, YUMMY! The in house tea was also fantastic, I think it was chai! Great place. On top of already very cheap prices, we found a $15 off coupon on Yelp, so it was a crazy good deal. Fed four people to very full for about $20. We got 4 different sandwiches, plus fries, salad, smoothies, and fresh juice. It was all great. The shawarma sandwiches are definitely the highlight. We also had a Greek salad - this was a little overly seasoned but overall was a great, interesting Arab/Levant take on the classic Greek salad everyone in Detroit has eaten a hundred times. The one sandwich we tried, a breakfast like sandwich, with eggs, cheese and jam, was interesting but, to me, not worth ordering again. It was a bit dry and plain compared to everything else we had. The house sandwich, the Boostan Shawarma (a chicken shawarma with veggies, banana peppers, and special sauce), and the Cream Chop sandwich (a sandwich wrap with a ranch/mayo kind of sauce and hot, freshly fried crispy breaded chicken) were both excellent. The smoothies and mango juice were also great. The only reason I can't give this place 5 stars is the facility and the service. The staff themselves were great; super polite, helpful, and friendly. But the food was a bit slow in coming I think, for the type of quick over the counter type place you expect it to be. And then the biggest point against it was just how cold it was inside the little restaurant - the staff had their winter jackets on when we first came in. It's really a 4.5 star rating for me. They were really good in just about every category, and so much better of a deal than many of the other middle-eastern cuisines around here. I'll definitely be going back. read more

We were looking for a lunch spot and followed YELPs recommendations to Boostan. The direction took us the wrong way on Holbroke but we finally saw the Red awning belonging to Boostan. This is a small restaurant (only room for 2 tables) so we decided to carry out. While we waited you could see this is a busy place. The aroma made us even more hungry. I ordered a mango smoothie after looking at the huge mangos all around. It was delicious. We had chicken tawook and shawarma sandwiches. One of the best I've ever eaten. The young man at the counter made sure to add humus and a little desert just because we made the trip over to come to their restaurant. Be sure to stop by the door where they have complimentary hot tea that is flavored cardamom and milk oh so tasty. read more
