Boostability's performance was exactly as lousy as demonstrated in reviews from the past six years and as you can see in the dozens of "unrecommended" reviews below. Though the employees were pleasant enough and some of the fresh graduates bright, no one showed ownership for the enterprise as a whole, and Boostability repeatedly failed to honor their assurances in providing SEO and SMM. Given supposed high rankings on industry websites (that I have since learned may be pay-to-play), I originally purchased both SEO and SMM on the condition that Boostability deliver compelling business plans with benchmarks. Since my business targets a specific niche, the salesperson Kevin promised me exceptional expertise from account managers for SEO and SMM, strategic plans from both teams, the creation and management of many ads to target and refine my Facebook advertising, and running the Facebook ads from my Facebook account so I could retain ownership of the data. None of this happened in Boostability's SEO or SMM services. Regarding SEO, the SEO team led by Claire proposed two sets of keywords, and seemed to have done zero research into choosing good keywords or even to have read the one paragraph summary I wrote them about my business, which would have helped them target their keywords along the four dimensions my business needs. First, they targeted six keywords, some that appeared to have as little as one search a month, three of which differed by the same word (e.g. "expert tutoring" and "expert tutoring services"), and which would be expected to bring untargeted traffic to my website. After I told them to go back and do their homework, they came back with six keywords (three of which again differed by one word), which were extremely competitive with no credible plan they could express of how I could credibly compete against companies 1,000 times bigger with a much greater head start. Their supposed analytics team seems to have done no traffic or competitiveness analysis; at least the account manager could not show me any nor knew it without looking it up as I was speaking with her. Further, they explicitly avoided any benchmarks of performance of work that I could count on after the first or sixth month. Time after time, I asked her for data, a compelling business case, or any shred of evidence to support their claims. Time after time, Boostability simply told me to trust them. Regarding SMM, Boostability also largely failed to deliver. Though Boostabilty sales had promised to provide account managers with substantial experience, their social media team included three staff two of whom apparently about 6 months out of college and one who had a year and a half of experience. The team and their manager flatly refused to run the number of ads to target and refine my prospect niche or as promised to run the account from my Facebook account. While the industry norm is for management fees to be 10%-40% the ad spend, Boostability's management fees were 4-6 times the ad spend. They never let me know who they were targeting and refused to run my account from my Facebook account, which would allow me to retain ownership over the data, optimize the ads, and scale any ads that might be successful. Though the regular Facebook posts were not bad, the three Facebook ads had no strategy they chose to share, refused to apply standard A/B testing, appeared to generate likes from unqualified prospects, and was not run from my account. When I complained repeatedly from the beginning citing the sales assurances, which included the ability to get a refund if these assurances were not adhered to, Boostability's account teams refused to correct the situation and then said they could not perform as promised. Instead of immediately refunding my money due to services not rendered, Kay only offered a refund on condition I sign an overly aggressive contract that: * offered no benefit that was not already rightfully mine--the right to a full refund as promised * pretended Boostability had demonstrated "full compliance with the terms of the Contract" when they had not followed through on their promises * asked me to "forever [agree] to release, and discharge Boostability...from any and all claims" including those "occurring in the future" * an additional clause of a type denounced by the FTC, prohibited from form contracts under federal law, enforcement of which Yelp warns against, that is incompatible with the BBB's Standards for Trust, and that would aim to prohibit me from writing this review This is for a situation where Boostability failed to honor its sales commitments and for which I could simply initiate a credit card chargeback. Boostability manager Kay ultimately processed a refund; however, overall, Boostability failed to honor its sales assurances for SEO or SMM, had no concept of strategic planning or credibly proving their value, and made the process to get them to perform or to get a refund painful. read more

I previously worked for a company that wanted me to find them a SEO firm. After doing some research online I find a SEO firm called Boostability. When I called to talk to them about a SEO plan they seemed to know what they was talking about. I would find out later that this would not be the case. We had numerous problems from the start on selecting keywords, the correct market niche etc. Our account Manager was nothing more than a used car salesman that swindled me into getting a SEO Plan. The plan was $756.00 a month for three months. Two and a half months into the SEO plan our business was getting numerous complaints from customers saying they placed an order but never received it. We had no record of these orders or customers. The owner of the company did some research and found out that Boostability employees hacked into our website platform and deleted the customer orders. He also found out that Boostability employees stole these customers credit card information. When the owner confronted Boostability with his information they reimbursed us for the loss of sales. This amount was around two thousand dollars. However, the damage was already done to our company. We still received numerous complaints and negative reviews online from these customers. A few of these customers filed chargebacks with their credit card companies and filed complaints against us with the Attorney General's Office. This was all due to the criminal actions of Boostability and its employees. The owner of the company cancelled the SEO contract after this nightmare. He then asked Boostability for a detailed report of the SEO service that was completed. After spending a lot of time researching we found out that none of the work that we was billed $2,228.00 for was completed. Boostability offered no remorse or apology for their criminal actions. Because of Boostability I was fired from my job and I deserved to be fired. I am the guy that recommended Boostability to my previous employer. I am the guy that got them into this mess. My advice to anyone is stay clear of Boostability because the entire company is a criminal organization that needs to be shut down by the Government. I engaged Boostability to ensure that my website was primed to sell a job search plan, my only product for sale on the site. Cody was fantastic from the beginning, courteous, explained things clearly, seemed always wanting to be sure I had all the information I needed, proactively contacting me to update me on their actions and promptly calling me back as requested. I also really liked the reporting page that told me real time what actions they had taken and the activity on the site. The way it works is that you are really buying a certain number of hours per month and they complete a well-rounded course of actions for the given hours. They did a number of actions: identifying key words and ensuring they were used on the site, linking the site to related content, registering me on directories and cleaning up some back stuff that wasn't smooth. I'm a writer so wasn't as interested in having them spend my hours writing articles, etc. and they were willing to focus on what I wanted which I really appreciated. I didn't get a lot of tech talk or "we know what's best" which I experienced with other people. Result: my visits have gone up and I've probably moved ahead in Google, but they don't promise much there for 3-9 months. And the problem, of course, is that I've done a lot of other things at the same time and am unsure as to the impact of Boostability. But I understood what they did and feel it needed to be done and is a positive and long-lasting investment. After 2 months I felt I was on my way enough to cancel my plan mostly because I need to create a lot more content on the site to fully realize the benefits (sales!) but I'll re-engage in the future if I find things stalling. Boostability is a scam company. I recently contacted them for outreach backlinks for my blog. Initially, they recommended some terrible keywords. I already knew the keywords we wanted to rank for, because we did our own research. After coming back with the recommended keywords, was the first time I was worried. The keywords weren't buyer intent, like I needed for this particular post, and they didn't even make any sense. I get the feeling they were just longtail keywords that they felt they could VERY quickly rank for, and then take credit for page trust we already had. Then they got started on the "work" for the month. After paying $1600 for the month, I got 1 backlink from a site with NO rankings, and NO traffic. 1... Bad... Backlink... that would likely hurt more than it would help. Then they added a bunch of other "hours" of made-up crap work, which mostly consisted of doing blog posts. 2. I wrote them immediately after that and told them I wanted a refund. They responded saying they wanted to talk to me. I didn't respond because I was DONE with them after the complete sh*t work they provided, after promising that they only work with blogs and sites that have real traffic. I looked at the blog posts, and they literally look like websites that are exact copies of eachother. My guess is that boostability simply gets free blog websites, pays a writer to write a decent post, and then uploads it to their own fake blogs. Unless I get full refund from them. We have contracted with 4 SEO companies, Boostability being the fourth. It is difficult to know what company to choose with so many SEO companies clamoring for market share and promising incredible results. We were shelling out marketing dollars every month with unsatisfactory results. After taking a few steps back and evaluating our experiences with both overseas SEO and a domestic company that was not meeting expectations we were introduced to Boostability. Boostability has been a wonderful company to work with and has doubled our daily visits in less than 5 months. Profits are up and we are in process of increasing staff and infrastructure to field increased traffic and sales to our website. Of course we know our business better than anyone. When we started Boostability took the time to really try and understand our demographic and products. We were a bit skeptical at first based on the keywords recommendations. But after getting a little history behind us and seeing how fast we moved up in the rankings we have complete confidence in their expertise and SEO knowledge. Do your research before hiring an SEO company, 60% of reviews on ANY company which can be easily googled are affiliate related, meaning they get paid to come up with that stuff. A great place to find real meaningful insight is glassdoor,com, employees review the company they work for check out what BOOSTABILITY employees have to say. Many employees say they are unhappy working for BOOSTABILITY because they knowing provide very little value if any to clients. One employee even mentioned he has much sympathy for the new clients he signs up because he knows whats in store for them! Uhhhh... well thats definitely a bad sign! I absolutely hate writing anything negative about another company, being a business owner myself I can understand how receiving a review like this definitely sucks. But I would feel worse not sharing this with you because unfortunately its straight from the horses mouth, BOOSTABILITY sells its SEO services knowing its of very little or no value to clients, but most alarming is that they have the capacity to recklessly cause harm your business. hired Booststability in September 2018. They promised me that they will work with Google Bing and Yahoo to place my company on the first pages, in six months and even some keyword in 3 months. After the third month, I called Booststability and ask them what can I do to help. Booststabilitya asked me to pay $400 (i did) after 6 month nobody was able to find my company and I called them to find out what's going on and what should I do to help They told me that I should wait for another month. They were sending reports but I was still invisible on the web. I called again, the answer was that I should wait two more months. After the 9th-month they blame everything on google. They told me that Google won't recognize my company. I paid them $5.800 and 9 months of business and they did not do anything just fake report and now I have to hire somebody who knows what to do. I found Boostability through an online rating service. I called and got through immediately to Blake Bryson. Blake was very knowledgeable and upfront about where the company had been, where it is now, and what its goals were for me and my business. I decided to move forward with their program and was charged their fee on my credit card. After talking over various marketing options with my business partner and upper level staff members, it was decided that we would be better off investing in a firm that handled AdWords and other media avenues as opposed to SEO, long term marketing. Our thought was to generate more of an immediate return on our money and then take those profits and feed them into a long term SEO Marketing campaign like those offered at Boostability. My new account rep Michael Alamo completely understood our thinking and position. There was no hard sell to stay and he immediately put in a request with their accounting department for a refund, which happened the following day. When they spoke to me about doing seo work I made it clear I wanted them to focus on on-site seo before off-site. After the first month they only did off-site. I spoke to my manager and told her that I didn't want to continue for another month until we reviewed it together. They went ahead and charged me for the following month and then wouldn't prorate it when I wanted to cancel. Also, the 'content' they wrote for me was so poor I had to disavow the links. I do not recommend them. 2017 Update: We received no refund from Boostability and the content was very poorly written. Notwithstanding the backlinks they provided did harm to our website Google ranking. Whoever, Mr. Shelton is at Boostability better look in the mirror, because Boostability is operating the same online scam today, that they did when we hired them. Don't believe us? About six months I contacted Boostability.com in regards to their (SEO) search engine optimization service for my small business website. After several discussions I decided not to sign up with them. The main reason for this decision is they spent more time trying to get me to sign a contract with them then he did trying to explain the SEO service. After I told them no thank you they continued to harass me by phone and email for the next four months. I would get approximately a dozen phone calls and emails a week from them. Luckily for me the harassment as since stopped. I just find it unacceptable that a business would harass someone for four months after you told them a dozens of times you're not interested in their service. If this type of behavior is any indication on how they conduct their business, then it should come to know surprise to anyone as to why they have so many negative reviews online! read more

I'm an SEO manager for a tech support company, and I use Boost to supplement our search efforts. In the 6 months we've used their service, we've seen substantial movement with our selected search terms. I'm impressed with the content they create for us, but some of the other keyword tasks (blog comments, for example) don't seem to provide much value. The dashboard makes it easy to track and evaluate their actions, so I can request changes if I don't think something's working. We're a tech support firm in a very competitive space, so I'm pleased with the results Boost has delivered so far. Though it is on the expensive side, it's nothing compared to what companies like mine will drop on PPC campaigns. I would have to say anyone thinking about looking for some SEO help for their small business should look somewhere else and not waste your money. I thought the work they did was incredibly poor, and in the end probably created more harm than good. I also found the customer service very poor and they often came off very rude. After canceling with Boostabilty I contacted them to remove a few articles they had created and were posted on a website with DA of 1!?! Which just shows the quality of work they create. Stay miles away from this company. I hired them to see how they perform and after paying thousands of dollars for months, my ranking for the key phrases they were "optimizing" did not budge. They write crappy cookie cutter articles and post them on blogs that they themselves create and therefore, there is obviously no benefit to be gained from these zero ranking blogs for your website. I hired them thinking they charge you a bomb as they have relationships with blogs and other sites with high domain authority. But, nope. They have no such relationships. I felt confident in my ability to create a website for my therapy practice that would represent me well and secure clients, but was just as confident in my inability to optimize the sight to be found. It was financially risky for me to invest what little money I had in the hopes that it would pay off, but it did.
