When a doctor takes an oath to help people, part of that help is billing their insurance. It may be…read moretrue this doctor is one great practitioner, but there is no reason why she should nor be able to bill insurance. Read the oath again and think long and hard who you really help. Only the affluent. Sad state that healthcare is in today due to all the greed. No one is in it to help ALL IN NEED anymore. 11/19/19 Reply to Owner:

Let me start by saying that I've known some excellent doctors, and have had a couple of…read moreearth-shatteringly bad experiences as well. Dr. Julie Reardon has surpassed my wildest expectations of what a family physician CAN--and is willing--to do. I think that's in part because she is a phenomenal physician and person, and I suppose the Harvard education and work with Dr. Andrew Weil doesn't hurt. I'll add that all of the folks in her office are equally as competent and caring. If you are contemplating a visit to Dr. Reardon, it's because you haven't been feeling as well as you should--probably for quite some time. Your insurance-covered doctor has run some general tests that haven't shown anything all that extraordinary; and while you may greatly respect your PCP as I do, you realize that time and budget constraints limit the ability to which they can explore your issues. You may have been told that it's your impending menopause, or your weight, or that you perhaps should consider antidepressants. This is the state of medicine in our current era of managed care, and it's nobody's fault. Sometimes it just IS. Know that, if you can afford her services, "Dr. Julie" will leave no stone unturned in helping you find that road to recovery. She's not one of those "vanity doctors" who will hand you creams, diets, and vitamins to make you ageless and extra hot...although feeling better usually makes you look better! She's a serious, science-based physician with an uncanny ability to relate the typically unrelated, and see the "big picture" of your health situation. In our initial visit, she caught on to trending issues I'd never thought of before, including a potential genetic makeup that leaves me prone to certain problems with mood and energy level that are exacerbated by stress...and I've had a year of that! She ran a gamut of tests after explaining the purpose of each one, and uncovered a problem so critical it was a wonder I even had the energy to get out of bed in the morning. I am no less impressed with our follow-up discussions. She has referred to another provider for an area outside of her realm, and also recommended simple vitamin and supplement changes that will do me a world of good. At the same time, she's not that earth-crunchy guru that's going to mandate that that you live on purified air and chants...hers are moderate lifestyle changes for real people living in our everyday world. Dr. Julie doesn't take insurance, but that allows her to spend true quality time with the patients who sign on with her. I will say that, for the fees involved, I feel like it's been a very good choice for my healthcare dollars. I am finally getting some solid answers as to why I've felt HORRIBLE over just this last year, and I finally feel confident knowing someone's got my back while I take steps to get better. I think there are a lot of docs out there who dream of having a practice like Dr. Julie's--and she has made that dream a reality. When I think about how quickly Dr. Julie started "cracking the case", and all the co-pays and labs past that never quite addressed my issue, I realize that I have now SAVED time and money in the long run. What's more...I could have gotten REALLY sick were it not for Dr. Julie and her findings. She very well might have saved my future from being...well, not so bright. Thinking about calling for an appointment with Dr. Julie Reardon? I say go for it...you will NOT regret it, and you have everything to gain.

Measuring my weight, and muscle mass, etc. After talking and hearing what they can do for me. It's a lot a trial and error kind of thing. A very slow process. And I can appreciate that, but it's quite expensive, and I know that I can't afford to buy product after product not knowing what actually works for me. The 5 stars is because they were friendly, and listened to my needs. Also after reading some of the reviews, I realized this just wasn't the right fit for me. A year ago last April I had a Aortic Valve heart surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. I had…read morerecently moved to Lakeway and needed to find a new Primary Care Physician. I came across Dr. Freeland's name and looked up and read that he went to medical school in the same small town that I went to college, Kirksville, Missouri. If you chose to be a D.O. instead of an M.D., then Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine was a good choice. While I lived in Kirksville I got to know a couple of men who were surgery professors. They were outstanding men of character and counted it an honor to be known by them. So, when I read that this Dr. Freeland was in Lakeway I was looking forward to meeting him and having him be my new Primary Care Physician. My first appointment with Dr. Freeland was as if they had shredded any and all information about me. After my heart surgery the Mayo Clinic sent all my records to Bee Cave Family Practice. Mayo is one of top two Heart Hospitals in the world (you will receive the finest care there.). So, when I went for my initial visit and then filling out all the however many pages just to have my blood drawn for a INR value they were not at all prepared for a 2 minute blood draw and I could be on my way. My appointment finished at around 11:50 and was asked to come back after lunch at 1:00 to take blood sample, I left and came back later and finally got it drawn. The next time I came back I found the front office team to be disorganized. I was most frustrated that they did not call me (even though they said they would) to let me know the INR results. As I stated previously, I was really looking forward to having this doctor, but with several issues for me after only two visits I needed to find someone else. It has been a year since I was at Bee Cave Family Practice. I've written just a couple of times about less than acceptable services, unfortunately, this is one.

I've been to anyone in this town worth their salt (and plenty who weren't), plus my work in a closely related field means I also know all the best local sex therapists, coaches, and counselors. And even with that highly skilled extensive network at my fingertips, Samantha has been an invaluable addition to my sexual health resource list. Not only for her vast knowledge on women's issues and sexual health, but because she truly cares on a level you simply don't find anywhere else. I use her myself, and regularly refer clients to her. In my experience (and that of my clients I've sent to her) she never fails to take all the time you need to discuss every issue & concern you're having, with in depth, next level knowledge on potential causes, treatments, and outcomes. Like I said, I have the best obgyns in Austin and the best primary care physician in town, yet over the past 3 months Samantha was able to help diagnose and treat two separate issues I was having that neither of my doctors could completely figure out! She also has an extensive menu of services for improving/maximizing sexual function, much of which most other medical professionals don't even know about. As for the previous reviewer's low rating and out-of-context comment, since this person admits to never meeting Ms. Thiry in the first place I'm not sure how her opinion applies or carries any weight at all. Samantha is a very open, warm person by nature, and I personally found that getting to know her and her background contributed even more to my comfort level and confidence in her work.
