I was on the hunt for a new (to me) coffee house. I'm glad I found this place. Booskerdoo is conveniently located on the main road in Ardsley. They have a spacious coffee house with food, pastry and drink options. I ordered a large latte, and I'm glad I did. I'm on a latte tour of the area and have been trying lattes from all of the coffee house I can find. Booskerdoo has fresh pastries, snacks, food, drinks, etc. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and space to work from inside, as well. If I worked remotely, this would definitely be a place I'd go to during the day. I went during lunch time; there were other patrons there, but it was relatively quiet. This is why I love yelp!! I was looking for a new coffee spot to try as a treat, opened up yelp and found booskerdoo! Let me tell you it does not disappoint! Plenty of treats for all dietary needs - plenty of vegan and gluten free options (both savory and sweet!). I went with the vegan pumpkin scone, but I am very intrigued by the vegan egg sandwich- might have to try that next! Their branding is super cute doodles, I just had to pick up a T-shirt! Lgbtq+ welcoming, gender neutral restrooms, free 3 hour parking in back, and wifi. What more do you need. read more

Came here today and it looks like they are under new management and no longer part of the affiliated chain. I ordered a Matcha latte, oatmeal, cold brew with sugar-free vanilla and milk. The Matcha latte was good, but the cold brew was not drinkable. It was probably the worst sugar-free vanilla I've ever had in my life, and I immediately threw it out. I have been to booskerdoo in central Jersey many times so I was a bit confused to find out this is no longer owned by the chain. The staff seemed confused too. Amazing coffee and brownies. I ordered for delivery and the drink came kinda spilled. I won't hold it against the restaurant because it's probably how the dasher held the bag, but maybe put a note on the bag indicating to be careful bc there's drinks inside ( which should be obvious ) and also another protective layer on the drinking hole on the cups. Definitely a come as you are vibe. Love it. The people working here were really nice, chill, and quick. The menu is oddly hard to read? Or just hard to take in since items are not in traditional rows. Only after did I read some other drinks that I would have been interested in trying. I only wish there was more seating inside! This is the kind of café+coffeehouse go-to where everyone, even the family dog (I think) is welcome. The atmosphere is bright, airy with a tropic-ish mural, has a neutral design, white subway tiles and plenty seating at Booskerdoo- that once housed Starbucks not too long ago in Ardsley. I can't talk about their coffee or how they roast their beans, what brings out the best in those beans, how their beans are harvested and stuff like that. Because again, it's been more than 10+ years I haven't drank the stuff. What I CAN tell you is that everyone in front of me was either ordering a pastry of some sort or....a coffee drink of some kind. Whether you call it Golden Milk or Turmeric Latte, I went with that on a Sunday afternoon. My hot drink was frothy from the (oat) milk and had that awesome turmeric spice kick. I like mine with a dash of agave and cinnamon- but settled for the honey these folks only have available. Still great. My large was $6+ and thought price was reasonable. Bring your laptop and make a day of it (kidding of course). These folks are building a nice following and kudos to them! Come for their coffee if that's your thing or otherwise. But whatever your preference, this is the best in town. read more

I picked it because it is the earliest coffee shop open in town, and I was up at 5:15 at a motel. My Americano was good, not great, and it was pleasant to sit outside at one of their tables as the morning began. I bought a bagel from across the street as well. Westchester completely lacks this type of coffee house. Plenty of places to get coffee and more then enough Starbucks as well as all the places that call themselves a coffee house but in reality are just a restaurant or cafe. But there are not enough of what would be considered a true authentic coffeehouse in or around Westchester. Well, what is the criteria and the most crucial and critical aspect that every coffeehouse needs you ask? Well I will tell you what it needs. Is the regular drip coffee great? Is it hot and is it fresh? Sure the fancy 6 buck iced double mocha chocolate latte with oat milk, a dash of cinnamon and whipped cream is crucial to have. ...and yes they have it! It's definitely important that the pastry's are tasty and whatever other eats they have are good. ....so far everything I have tried has been good but the PB&J bar might be responsible for the next five pounds I gain. But also the iced coffee MUST be spot on. ...and theirs definitely won't disappoint. But what separates a true coffeehouse from all other places that just serve coffee or espresso based drinks is. ....is the coffee in the cup great? Not good, not better then Starbucks or just as good as that cafe up the road. Is the coffee great? The answer is YES. The good old fashion drip coffee in the cup is great here. It's hot and it's fresh. To secure this title of true coffeehouse even further they usually have 2 or 3 choices of regular drip coffee as well as beans for sale that are roasted in-house. Service is always friendly and they have a couple of tables and a small counter if you want to chill out with your coffee and pastries. Only been open a couple of weeks now and I can say not only is their coffee delicious but the employees who work there are so awesome! We've been there twice and I have tried 2 different coffees, a Caramel Latte and the Pistachio Shortbread Latte. My daughter has had the Classic Hot Cocoa twice and we were very happy with our drinks. We have also had the Pistachio Shortbread Cookie and their Chocolate Chip Cookie, both were excellent. Giving 3 stars only because they didn't have the speciality coffee I wanted to try, so I can't base the review on much. They said their grinder was down so they couldn't make any of the drip coffees and only had ones on tap. I would try and give this another shot, but for being open a small amount of time it wasn't a great first impression. Ordered a bagel as well, which couldn't be toasted because their toaster was also broken. Very pricy for a coffee shop which doesn't have a bigger coffee menu or variety of food/baked goods. read more

First time trying matcha from here and also visiting this spot. Staff is very friendly and attentive to customers. They offered full explanations to ensure customers were receiving the drink they want. Got a half pump of vanilla in my matcha at the recommendation of the barista but it didn't do much for me personally. Overall the matcha isn't bad but not quite as good as other places I've tried. Used to love it. When they opened I LOVED their lattes, matcha mochas ect. They're not the same anymore. You can taste the artificial sweetness and the last 2 matches I got were clumpy and un flavorful. The latte didn't taste like anything special. read more

If you are looking for something INCREDIBLY delicious for lunch or a snack, try the new spinach and feta cheese hand pies at Booskerdoo. They are out-of-this-world, and so fresh! I *really* want to like this place. Their food is solid. I'm a big fan of the breakfast sandwiches and the almond croissant. However, I haven't had a drink from them that I've enjoyed. I was not a big fan of their coffee, so I tried an iced matcha latte the next time around (they have a whole section of matcha beverages on their menu, so I assumed this would be safe). It was undrinkable. There were clumps of matcha floating in every sip. It was so disappointing. Next time, I'll try an Arnold Palmer and see how that goes, but it looks like I'm going to be sticking to Dunkin and Starbucks for my caffeine. read more

I've been mail ordering coffee beans from Booskerdoo for years because I just can't get down to NJ easily, so you can imagine how thrilled I was when I saw that a new store was opening in Ardsley. I love their baked goods and the specialty stuff around the holidays, and everyone on the staff is always so nice.
