Oh, no! We hadn't even gotten to Beckley - and we had a 10-11 hour drive straight through to Memphis. We had just had to buy a new tire the week before for a unrepairable nail puncture. We were able to go to the Toyota dealership in Beckley. When I went in, I met with Mike Jude, the New Car Sales Manager. After I explained our situation with the tire and our long trip to Memphis, he was quite understanding of our problem. Mike then took me to Erik in the Service Department. Both men were very courteous, professional and understanding about our problem - as well as our need to get back on the road promptly. Well, I am sending out a Big Shout Out to both Mike and Erik for the quality service we received. Even with other people in the Service Waiting room, Erik was able to check all 4 tires - he even remembered the pressure for each tire. He found no problems with any of the tires, and properly inflated all tires to the proper pressure. All of this great service was done with a smile - and at no cost. We were able to finish our trip with no further tire problems. If you live in the area, or are just passing through and have car problems, be sure to check our L&S Toyota. And, be sure to ask for Mike and/or Erik. They will treat you right - even if you didn't buy your car from them. Great service, guys! Much appreciated.

We had called 5 or 6 places before we found one that would even look at our motorhome. Mark the owner said he could not promise they could look at it that day but would before the weekend. We did not get towed there until 3pm. He also let use hook up to power and stay in the motorhome on his lot. By closing time at 5 pm Mark and his guys had looked at the engine and determined it had probably broke the flywheel. He had also checked for the part but could not get one til Monday. We told him our daughter lives in Charlotte NC area and could bring one up from there if he could find one near there. So Friday morning he went out of his way to look there for the part. He also came back Thursday night to check on us staying in is lot and see if we needed anything. His guys started working on our motorhome first thing Friday morning and had it ready for the new part by around 1 pm. While they did that Mark found a part near Charlotte. Our daughter picked up the part and finally made it to the garage at 4:45 pm on Friday. They close at 5. Mark and his guys stayed to work on finishing the repairs and at 9 pm had us done and on the road. Mark did all of this while dealing with the lose of his father in law on Thursday night. We can not say enough about the great guys and Mark. They made us feel welcome and cared about. Not just a customer but a friend. Not only did he get our motorhome looked at before the weekend but also got it fixed and back on the road. THEY WERE AWESOME AND WONDERFUL. I would recommend Creager auto to everyone. They treated us like family. Mark even called us Saturday to make sure everything went good.

We had called, left contact info, full details on the history and a request to call with any questions. We asked why he hadn't called, he said "the problem was obvious." So which was it? Too obvious to ask questions or too complex to solve without additional info? He had us at his mercy, taking a breakdown on the WV turnpike. Don't be another one of his victims!

I didn't know it at the time, but I soon realized I couldn't have been towed to a better repair shop. Don immediately recognized that the RV chassis was exactly the same as many of the trucks he works on. He found the problem in less than an hour (the master cylinder rubber seal), had the replacement part in hand, and had my RV fixed in no time at all. I was so impressed with his automotive knowledge, I asked if I could stay and have him fix a few more things on the RV before I left town. He happily obliged, so we ordered the parts and Don had the RV running better than it ever had before by the time I hit the road. I couldn't be happier, and the next time I'm in the area, I have a few more things I'd like to have him look at for me. Thanks a ton, Don!!!

**WARNING- VERY LONG APPRECIATION POST**…read more Tuesday night we left for Florida around 7:30 pm. At around 11:30 pm our transmission went out about 2 miles from the Beckley, WV exit. It was raining and it was not a good spot for it to happen since there was only a 3 foot berm and then gravel that dropped off. It was also 500 feet from construction area with left lane closed so everyone was getting in right lane. So we had semis passing at 60 mph 4 feet from us We called AAA and within 20 minutes David from Glen's Towing called and said he would be there in 5 minutes. AAA had told us Because of COVID nobody could ride in the tow truck so we amazingly found Ambassador Taxi after trying Lyft, Uber, and every other taxi company number with no answer. Ambassador said they would have to send the driver back to get a big SUV since we had 7 people and could be a little while since he was on way back from dropping railroad guys off in VA. When David arrived with the tow truck, he said "I'm going to just pull up behind you with my lights on and wait for the taxi to get here. Then you guys can just jump in taxi and I will bring van to your hotel for you to get your stuff out so you're not trying to do it on side of the road." He sat behind us for an hour until Ambassador got there. While we were awaiting, the owner of Ambassador called and let me know that they had a shop and could look at the van first thing in the morning for us if we wanted to have it towed there. I also, used my Choice Hotels app and booked us rooms at the Comfort Inn in Beckley. Since it was after midnight the app booked them for the following night. So I called Comfort Inn and the front desk girl said she would get them changed no problem. Ambassador arrived and we got into the Tahoe and he took us to the hotel. I walked in and the front desk immediately handed me the key cards and pointed me to our side by side rooms so I could get the kids in bed. 5 minutes later, David from Glen's towing arrived and completely dropped the van off the roll back for us to empty all of our luggage onto the hotel carts. Once in our room around 2 am, I got on the Enterprise app and booked a minivan for pick up at 8 am when they opened. I got a call around 7:40 saying they didn't currently have any vehicles (From Austin working there I knew that was common first thing in morning) and they would call when they received some from Charleston hopefully by noon. While waiting Ambassador auto called and said what I feared, transmission completely out. I told them I didn't want to put that kind of money into it and I had already booked a rental and asked if van was in the way or if I could come with trailer in 2 weeks to get van and she said "No problem. We will just park it around back." At 10 am Enterprise called that they had a van. I called Beckley Green Cab and they were there in 10 minutes to take me to Enterprise. I walked in enterprise and was in a 2020 Caravan with only the 82 miles on it in less than 5 minutes and headed back to the hotel to continue our vacation. We left a Beckley at 11 am. I can't say enough about how friendly and helpful everyone we dealt with was. Maybe it really is, Almost Heaven in West Virginia. Thank you so much to everyone we dealt with: Glen's Towing Ambassador Taxi Ambassador Auto Comfort Inn - Beckley Beckley Green Cab Enterprise - Beckley (Canterbury)
