I watched as my tire pressure monitor showed that my front tire was losing air rapidly. Luckily, I had run flat tires that enabled me to travel safely until I reached Beckley. As it was Sunday I found a hotel and planned to call the local tire dealers on Monday to find a replacement run flat tire so that I could continue home. I called every tire dealer, Chevy dealer and even the tire manufacturer (Michelin) to source a tire for my car. Nearly no one could help me. Several tire dealers told me that only the Chevy dealer could mount the run flats and the soonest I could get a tire would be 3 days! Everyone but Stanaford Tire in Beckley. Pete at Stanaford assured me that I would have a tire first thing the next morning and in spite of what others were saying, they could mount and balance the tires with no problem. Sure enough, early the next day, I got a call from Pete. He said the tire was in. I drove over to the shop. As soon as I arrived and told them who I was, they had me bring the car into the shop. The technician got to work immediately. They removed the wheel, changed out the tire, balanced it and reinstalled the new tire/wheel assembly in less than 30 minutes. I have bought numerous tires from Goodyear and Firestone dealers and from major chains like Discount Tire, etc., and I have never received service as good as from Stanaford Tire. When I talk about service, I mean they are customer friendly, can do, with knowledgeable technicians who are honest. The shop is no nonsense, fair and provides services at fair prices for an excellent value. I would HIGHLY recommend Stanaford Tire to anyone in need of tire service.

We stopped for the night and I I found KD on yelp. I gave him a call that evening and he showed up the next morning at the hotel. Very very nice man! I had thought we maybe got some bad gas but after running a diagnostic turns out it was bad spark plugs and a coil that had gone bad. He was able to quickly get the parts delivered and changed in no time. He is amazing knowledgeable very personable and really fair man. His rates are much better than if I had had to take and leave my care at a brick and motor garage and wait on them to get around to my car. I had him come out for a pre‑inspection and to fix a coolant leak on a vehicle I was test‑driving. The repair was simple, but I was charged $180 for what was billed as two hours of work. I already knew about the coolant leak and had tried to plan ahead, but the part I ordered was incorrect. He went to O'Reilly to get the right one, which I appreciated. After the repair, I asked him to test‑drive the van to confirm it was in good working order. He said he drove about 80 mph in Beckley and that it seemed fine, though he did mention a whining noise. He stated it was definitely not the transmission or pump, even though three OBD codes pointed toward transmission‑related issues. My mechanic immediately recognized the noise as a classic sign of a failing transmission -- something any experienced mechanic should have caught, especially with multiple codes indicating a problem. Long story short, the transmission is completely shot. I genuinely wonder how hard the van was driven during that 80 mph test run. Overall, not happy with the experience and do not recommend.

The factory rims had corroded ( thanks WV for the amount of salt you use in the winter BTW) to the point that I was constantly having tires go low or flat whenever the temperature got cold. The folks at Vigilante helped find me a excellent Motor Metal rims and Toyo tires for my Tundra. Since the closest rims of the right dimensions were in Tennessee, it wasn't until late Friday before they came in. The owner offered to put everything together on a Saturday, knowing I had to be at work the beginning of the following week. Great customer service and they make the customer feel like family.

I didn't know it at the time, but I soon realized I couldn't have been towed to a better repair shop. Don immediately recognized that the RV chassis was exactly the same as many of the trucks he works on. He found the problem in less than an hour (the master cylinder rubber seal), had the replacement part in hand, and had my RV fixed in no time at all. I was so impressed with his automotive knowledge, I asked if I could stay and have him fix a few more things on the RV before I left town. He happily obliged, so we ordered the parts and Don had the RV running better than it ever had before by the time I hit the road. we work with couple of our trucks with this company each time they quote a price and screw it until…read morelast penny they can they also make insurance frauds as well last time i send my 2022 Freightliner Cascadia truck with a 4 error codes they told me they fix everything and we left for paying following day and 36 miles later truck gives all same alerts and i didn't pay them and call them back to see whats going on in the meanwhile truck was on the road to delivery and we ended up on Freightliner Service they told us with a inspection report parts that they told its been changes not even touch by them and also their own employees declaration they just reset he doesnt know when will error codes will come up back long story short my lawyer contacted them and they even threaten my lawyer putting their words out of the market saying that we not pay them etc etc i just got a call from them thinking they want to work it out and they start threatening me on a recorded line saying that truck left there working but the issue when truck got there it was working too so they try to screw me out and all they are doing threatening but this time i will make sure they find what they are looking for AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING HE SAYS HE DOESNT WANT TO TALK OVER THE PHONE AND TELL ME TO GO THERE AND TALK FACE TO FACE :) I WILL SEE YOU GUYS FACE ON COURT.
